Just Matt getting beaten up badly during a match and when he returned, he suddenly started to act a lot more stranger as if he was "broken."

Jeff got "broken" via a feud he had with Broken Matt leading to Jeff being "deleted" as a Hardy and becoming "Brother Nero." Just like Matt, he also started to act more stranger than usual.

At some point in the story, Matt suffered both from amnesia and got struck by lighting as a way to return him back to normal Matt Hardy.

Last big storyline for the Broken gimmick in Impact involved the Hardys preventing the end of the world by keeping the tag belts. Somehow they also gained teleportation powers when it came to them appearing in other promotions while still with Impact.

How were the TNA ratings back then? Just curious, cause I can't imagine people enjoying this shitstorm.

The DELETE thing was because originally when Matt Hardy went BROKEN he was feuding with Jeff Hardy, who he called Brother Nero. Matt was saying that Jeff was shaming the Hardy name by being OBSOLETE or something and that Matt should be the sole legacy of the Hardy name, and that Brother Nero must be DELETED.

Brother Nero was then DELETED and Matt continued to use DELETE as a threat against other foes. Then Jeff Hardy somehow became BROKEN too and they were a team again.

Why are we not having a longer dialogue about bret harts rape scenerio

Was actually pretty good compared to their usual numbers. They had 3 big episodes based on the Broken and Deletion stuff with the first generating their highest numbers for the year and the most outside interest for the company.

Also was a legit top act for Impact considering they've only had 3-4 weeks with better numbers than the final big Broken/Deletion episode since the Hardy's left.

Saying the ratings were better for TNA is being generous. There was some mild increase, but it's not like they created 500,000 or anything. Basically anyone who watched TNA was joined by a few people who didn't usually watch, but was going to check out the geek show.

What long-term benefit or growth did it offer TNA? None. Absolutely none. It left them in no better and no worse shape than before it had happened -- which was not great.

And yes, the kangaroo stuff would have surely upset some people if they had actually seen it.
