Denver hires Wade Phillips as their new Defensive Coordinator.

ClockShot 01-29-2015 09:18 AM

Pitchers and catchers report in a few weeks.

Nark Order 01-29-2015 10:45 AM

Deflategate is fucking ridiculous to me. Like lunacy. I cannot believe that it is still a thing.

Innovator 01-29-2015 11:16 AM

It's a thing because Goodell doesn't want the media to reflect on his stellar year

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-29-2015 11:20 AM

Fire-Alarm Gate! Pats hotel fire alarm pulled for the second time since they've been in Arizona.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-29-2015 12:04 PM

Vince Wilkfork should sleep near the alarms. If somebody gets close they will shit their pants when they see #75.

Innovator 01-29-2015 02:54 PM

It's probably Gronk pulling them

They could just toss a few cheeseburgers on the floor. He'll be quickly distracted.

Why, he's a good coordinator.

Are you retarded?

Droford 01-29-2015 11:18 PM

I predicted Denver would only score 3 points last year and everyone thought i was crazy. Granted they scored 8 but if i had gone with their 10 pts trend i mentioned id have been even closer. Pretty sure there wasnt even a seahawks fan who thought they would hold the Broncos to less than 10 points.

Patriots wont score a touchdown on Sunday.

Emperor Smeat 01-30-2015 12:04 AM

So apparently a big reason why Deflate-Gate needs a few more weeks of investigations is because both the refs and the NFL forgot to actually weigh the balls and write down the details when they checked the balls.

All the numbers being leaked or reported so far are just guesses by the NFL.

Also Odell Beckham Jr. now owns a Guinness Record for most one-handed catches made in a minute with 33. Previous record was 10.

Seriously.

Shitty head coach... but he's a top 5 defensive coordinator, easily. You should be very happy about this.

lol good God, I didn't think this could get more ridiculous

RP 01-30-2015 07:55 AM

If that's true, than I feel bad that the Pats had to deal with all this shit, but something tells me the Pats had a hand in this.

Ruien 01-30-2015 08:24 AM

Going to be 5 security guards by the Patriots footballs at all time. Can't wait to see where they are, via television, at least 10 times during the game.

screech 01-30-2015 08:38 AM

It doesn't exactly "clear" the Patriots, as it was evident to officials that something was not right. But it shines a brighter light on how the league handles (or mishandles) "crisis" situations.

For real? Can't wait to hear Michaels and Collinsworth awkwardly banter about that on a few 2nd and 10s.

Indeed, he's like the defensive Norv Turner

Sherman's girlfriend is due to give birth pretty soon and he's said as soon as he gets word that she's gone into labor, he is leaving to be there for it (she is in Arizona). Even if it means missing the game altogether.

Can't blame the guy at all for that but you know damn well a whole lot of idiots will if Seattle loses as a result. Wonder if I can place a bet on Baby Sherman for MVP.

Simple Fan 01-30-2015 10:10 AM

He needs to be at work, he is not the one having the baby. How could you miss the Super Bowl. I understand being there and all but the Super Bowl is the Super Bowl.

Being there for the birth of your child should be way more important than any football game.

road doggy dogg 01-30-2015 10:19 AM

Could be a "blessing in disguise" since it's being thrown around now that he has torn ligaments in his elbow

Droford 01-30-2015 10:38 AM

Someone from the patriots will pay the hospital to call him to tell his wife in in labor 20 minutes before the game.

Babygate

Or more devious theyll pay the doctor to slip her some drugs to induce the labor

Crippla 01-30-2015 11:57 AM

I'm just here so I won't get banned

road doggy dogg 01-30-2015 11:58 AM

You know why I'm here

Supreme Olajuwon 01-30-2015 02:20 PM

God football is so gay. It's basically a 24/7 gossip mag where everyone frets over stupid inconsequential nonsense and on a very rare occasion there's a also a football game.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-30-2015 02:21 PM

And yet I will never stop watching.

road doggy dogg 01-30-2015 02:27 PM

The two weeks leading up to the Superbowl is always filled with this kind of fluff and nonsense. The downside of having a 24-hour news cycle

Ruien 01-30-2015 03:00 PM

Have not listened to any radio talk for the last 2 weeks. What are the main stories besides Deflategate?

Evil Vito 01-30-2015 04:54 PM

From an actual game perspective, it's not too different from last year. Top offense vs. top defense. Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas are question marks with injury.

From a "legacy" standpoint you have the Seahawks looking to be the first team to repeat in a decade, and Brady/Belichick chasing their seemingly elusive 4th ring. If the Pats win though the general public is still going to say that there's an asterisk over their entire "regime" since 2001 which is a bit daft as they're clearly a very good team and would be even without unnecessary cheating and the like.

road doggy dogg 01-30-2015 05:01 PM

No way. If Pats win I think it's unanimous that Brady/Belichek are given "all-time greatest" at their respective positions. No question.
