Wow... I did NOT see that coming. I like the idea of this massive stable trying to dominate. Can't wait to see how they flesh it out. Great first show. It wasn't like OMG THE BEST MATCHES EVER... but it was such a good wrestling show. Can't wait for more!

Fun time once we got through the rough second half hour. Some rough spots to even out, but given how they've evolved across the first few special events, I have hopes there'll be some great adjustments and improvements as the weeks go on. It has a very different feel from everything else, even NXT, which is neat.

Probably going to stick with watching AEW live because I can just watch NXT on the network tomorrow. If AEW consistently has a replay immediately afterwards, that might open the door a bit.

Just happy to have two really strong products, assuming AEW matches their potential, in NXT and AEW.

He has a good shot at succeeding in this type of environment versus the promo/painfully scripted heavy environment of WWE. I can't say I can recall any "great" matches he's had, but he has the credentials to be great in a primarily-in-ring product.

Even though Ted Turner has no involvement I can imagine Vince is eating his own shirt yelling GODDAMN YOU TED TURNER

Pretty sweet stable of guys Jericho has assuming it sticks.

Very entertaining show overall and even better, AEW managed to fix all the production issues that plagued their earlier PPVs while managing to feel different enough from WWE's TV style.

Also happy that if AEW's debut show is any indication, its going to easily fill the void left by Lucha Underground for my weekly wrestling watching.

Good show. Hearing Tony and JR together is weird but great. Like hearing WCW and WWF mixed together.

Flipped over to NXT during a few commercial breaks and thought the AEW show was more appealing. Going to watch NXT fully now.

He's a hoss with a gas tank and a clear understanding of what it takes to be a dominating, aggressive heel. He'll do great things, if protected, IMO.

Spoiler, NXT was better.

Lucha Underground killed a lot of my Swagger enthusiasm but he'd definitely work as a big enforcer type for a big stable rather than trying to give him a big push solo.

Was gonna say, the featured guys at the end were all established (hungry) guys who've paid their dues. With Hager and Jericho, especially, you have guys that will clearly be awesome with their reins removed.

I liked Jack Swagger enough. Always had a lot of potential. It's hard to get excited about him though. Big dude with a hot wife. I'm happy for him getting another shot.

A.k.a. the truth. NXT was a better show, that's not Anti AEW, nice attempt though.

Them trying to push him as a dominating beast despite him not really fitting in or clicking with their style of wrestling was pretty bad at first. He only got really enjoyable when he joined the evil supernatural group even if led to nothing because of LU's demise.

Love having Schiavone back. I got the replay going in the background. It brings back so many fond childhood memories of racing my bike back home to put Nitro on.
