What the fuck was Jim Mora Jr. thinking.

His guy just blistered a 56 yard field goal right down the middle. They get 5 yards taken off of it and he brings in 50 year old Morten Anderson???
Thats grounds for being fired right there. |

@ Cleveland Houston @ Green Bay Buffalo @ Miami Oakland could very easily go 10-6 with a 4-2 diviosn record. |

I wouldn't be reluctant to say that they could still win their division if they can split with the Patriots. |

"Oh word? That's all it takes?" "Yep." "Okay well... let's do it to it!" Haha nah he wasn't that good anyway. Getting a 95 yard run will make your offense seem great, when your defense takes a HUGE STEAMING SHIT on the defending Superbowl losers. HEY THE MIZ, WHATS UP? |
Not good for San Diego as they're already lacking somewhat in the linebacker category.

NOT LIGHTS OUT :(
|
They should sign Brock Lesnar and put him at OLB. Imagine a dude that strong who can run a 4.4 40 rushing the QB, then doing an SSP over the blocking back... right onto Jake Plummer's head.
|
I suppose he flipped the switch on his arm before he injected himself.
|
Quote:
JUST FUCKIN WITH YOU MENG, but seriously you got a sick Brock Lesnar fettish you gotta get over. Seems like you bring that dude up a lot, he wouldn't be good in the NFL. I don't care how many times he can power bomb the Big Show, doesn't really translate into real sports. |
Quote:
So you take someone like Lesnar and you just say "Get the QB." He will. Of course, isn't Brock like 30 now? :( |
So yeah basically the only reason I brought up Brock is because... who the fuck is available? When the Steelers have to bring in Chad Brown, you know there's some linebacking issues. Cowart, Gildon, Claiborne, Posey I think... dunno, they should be able to find somebody I guess, but nobody with 3-4 experience... except Gildon who's pushing 45 and I don't think played last year after playing end for the Jags.
|
I bet Brock couldn't break 5 on a 40 yard dash.
|
Quote:
SOME OF THEM MAY NOT EVEN BE ON YOUR FREE AGENT MADDEN ROSTER *GASP*. |
Yeah Gates has people drunk on the idea that people outside of football can be good in the football just because they are good athletes. It takes more than that
|
Quote:
PS: I only named big names because I don't know names, not because those are THE ONLY names. I'm just too lazy to read the waiver wire. So like I said... give me a list of the good veteran outside linebackers, preferably ones who have experience in the 3-4. |
That is my point: I do not know them either; I am not a scout. I'm just saying that there are some guys who can be selling cars one week and can be returning kick offs for the Ravens the next. You don't have to be a big name to make it in the NFL.
|
Quote:
But at linebacker, it helps to not suck. Though I dunno, Vikings' best linebacker not named EJ "Hasselbeck breaker" Henderson... or Ben "I might be White, dunno" Leber... is Heath Farwell, undrafted FA who dominates on ST and in preseason with the 2s and 3s... I bet he could succeed somewhere, but then... he's not a "name." Like Napoleon harris, ugh. Anyway, it's better to have a scrub who knows the system than a player who doesn't know the system, BUT if you NEED to get somebody, you should probably find somebody who has NFL experience who knows a certain coaching style. Defense is a lot harder to expect from a Car salesman... than the whole "run in a straight line" thing the Ravens kick returner can do... |
You're right about that, but I think it was Kevin Kaesviharn (it actually might have been someone else), the safety for the Bengals, that went to some weird college and was working as a substitute teacher before he made it with Cincinnati.
You just never know when a Tom Brady will come out of nowhere and becomes a star for their team. |
Quote:
He was ridiculous in Washington, the Gibbs came back, changed the system and he became very pedestrian, he's the same with the Giants. Talent isn't everything, the right system goes a lot further than just raw talent, specifically on defense |

Peyton Manning is MVP of the league right now. As much as no one wants to admit it.
|
The dude got bent up into a pretzel and came back and dropped bombs on Washington.
Dungy said it best " He's alot tougher then people think ". I thought for sure he was out for atleast 6 weeks atleast when i saw that hit. |
Are you implying that Peyton Manning is under appreciated because if you are then you just typed the stupidest comment ever posted on the internet.
|
Do you see any implications in my post? Do you even know what an implication is? Obviously not, or you just dont know how to read. Take this moment to go edit your post if you want.
|
I stand by my statement.
|
Why dont you point out that " implication " there smart guy. Then stand by that statement.
|
or just stfu, thats good enough.
|
Interesting tactic you're using here. You're like a guy who yells and waves his arms at people hoping they won't notice the burning wreckage of an airplane next to him.
Well I'm not buying it. |
Supreme, I understand how this will go. You're cooler then me. Everyone thinks i'm being a dick cause you say so. I lose.
I just want anyone that is willing to read the last 6 posts to realise that I was trying to discuss football and all you're doing , is trying to push my buttons for no apparent reason. There was no implication. You cant even find this " implication " that you spoke of and now you're spinning it like i just started some sort of major argument. P.S. I have no clue what your last post is supposed to mean. I didnt think i was using a tactic, trying to discuss possible MVP canidates. Keep spinning though man. I'm sure everyone will come in and gang up on me for discussing football topics, like usual. And i'm sure, once you get a few posters on your side, you'll escape without actually explaining your initial comment, which made no sense and wasnt really even needed. And i'm sure you'll win. Congradulations. |
rofl shut up
|
no! You know what....
You. |
Quote:
Your post does make it seem like Manning is underappericated or something, "He is the MVP as much as people don't want to admit it" lol what are you talking about? Who disputes the claim that Manning is one of the best players in the NFL? I don't think anyone does. I don't think anyone doubts his toughness either, since I don't think he has missed a start in his entire career. You really do say the dumbest shit sometimes, then when somebody calls you out on it you have no response then post dumb shit like your last reply. "Keep spinning though man" lol COME ON |
Look man, I got nothing but respect you alright? I respect the hell out of you. You're one of the five or six illest cats here. But you start talking ish and you might get jacked.
|
There you go again Supreme, not pointing where that " implication " was smart guy.

Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman has been notified he will be suspended for four games for violating the NFL's steroids and related substances policy, league and team sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
