I'd prefer Lance Storm over Brian Kendrick, but she could have a worse trainer.... She likely "chose" him because he's based in LA....I don't think she'd take the 6 months to move to Calgary and train with Storm, or anyone else....

Mr. Nerfect 08-09-2017 02:13 AM

Brian Kendrick is training Ronda Rousey? Good for him. I hope he gets some cool contacts through that.

Probably because of the poor results with Eva Marie but that is more of WWE's fault overall. She probably needed another year or two of solid training and development to become somewhat decent instead of the couple of months at most she got with Kendrick.

Eh, Eva Marie wasn't with Kendrick long, and she wasn't even that notably worse than the girls they are pushing now. I doubt Lance Storm, for example, would have been able to make her a brilliant worker in the same amount of time.

Besides, given some of the things I've heard Lance say on his podcast, about knowing Charlotte personally after she took some classes with him and such, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the women go to Lance Storm at some point for polish anyway. Kendrick might be just laying some groundwork, helping her get started, basic psychology, etc., and then he'll suggest going and working with Lance for a few months.

He must be staying true to the Kumar character to be a fan of this embarrassment.

According to Sports Illustrated, Nakamura is semi "in the doghouse" due to Vince still being furious over the ending to last week's match between him and Cena.

Mainly in regards to the exploder suplex given to Cena and blaming him for Cena almost getting injured because of it.

Only bright side is Vince isn't angry enough to cause any current plans or directions to be changed for him. Cena himself didn't see the incident as a big deal which likely helped reduce Vince's wrath as well.

Fairly amused by the reception that Jinder Mahal received in Toronto during Smackdown.

#BROKEN Hasney 08-10-2017 05:12 AM

Canadians being cheered in Canada. Whatever next?

Bad News Gertner 08-10-2017 11:47 AM

They should send Nakamura back to NXT to learn how to work

Only after he said Bret he deserved to be screwed. Which he did entirely to get the Canadian crowd to boo him. Because he's, you know, a heel and that's what good heels do.

#1-norm-fan 08-10-2017 01:24 PM

Also, he's right. BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY.

Evil Vito 08-10-2017 01:40 PM

Would've been funny if Bret got screwed again at WM26.

Newest NXT tag team. They just debuted last night. They beat some Deuce 'n Domino greaser guys who called themselves "The Metro Brothers" (yes, really). Their finisher is kinda interesting but could use work - they did a pop-up spinebuster followed by a top rope splash.

Lock Jaw 08-10-2017 08:58 PM

Oh, ok..... I am many weeks behind in NXT..... don't think I will catch up before Takeover...... I think their weekly shows have gone "downhill" in quality anyways......

#1-norm-fan 08-10-2017 09:52 PM

The main roster really kinda gutted NXT. Bobby Roode vs Drew Galloway as a Takeover main event is just SO far below the standard they set the last few years. Feels like a recent TNA main event. Big fight feel is kinda gone without Nakamura, Joe, etc..

Could you imagine? Vince and Bret finally make amends, Bret comes in in this huge publicized angle, only for Vince to literally do the exact same thing again - only this time he's the one getting a win over Bret.

Would've led the the Hart Dynasty and probably every other Canadian wrestler quitting on the spot not to mention the reaction on here would've been beyond nuclear.

It'd really have been the biggest fuck you in wrestling history. And because I love morbid humor I'm chuckling just imagining it.

#1-norm-fan 08-10-2017 10:06 PM

The thought of Vince putting Bret in the sharpshooter and the ref calling for the bell before Vince runs down the aisle laughing is just... glorious.

Feels like if Asuka was really dropping the belt, the Women's champ match would have gotten the main event treatment. Out of the 3 NXT titles, its the one with the strongest and longest storyline going on.

In regards to the NXT Championship probably doesn't help its been relegated to big name indie stars for major feuds since Sami was champ and WWE already went through the bigger name stars as champions. Going from Nakamura to Roode or anyone else on the roster at the time was always going to be a big downgrade.

Yes! One of the most frustrating things the WWE has managed to do over the years is convince people that HHH was once cool.

Bullshit, Asuka/Cross Last Woman Standing was the match of the month when it aired.
