Good for the human beings involved.

Royal Rumble tickets purchased! Woooo!

ClockShot 07-29-2017 01:22 PM

Hoping to hear soon if I'm going.

Lock Jaw 07-29-2017 01:31 PM

Royal Rumble 2016 was randomly on the WWE Network yesterday and I watched a bit of it.... Brock Lesnar entering and destroying the Wyatt Family, only for the Wyatts to screw him out of the Rumble. Thought to myself "Huh? Did Brock Lesnar fight Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania? I have no memory of that at all"

Went and read Wikipedia and was all "Ohhhhh yeah, they just dropped that whole thing and had Lesnar feud with Dean Ambrose instead for some reason"

His last win was at the SmackDown I was at in Glasgow in November.

I remember being pretty much the only guy there that was cheering when Hawkins won. I was actually expecting him to lose to Apollo Crews, so his win caught me completely by surprise.

I actually jumped out of my seat and threw my fists in the air whilst shouting "YEEEEAH!" when he won. I actually didn't realise I did that until I saw that people were looking at me.

The kids that were sitting in front of me weren't too impressed either that I was celebrating a Hawkins win.

Watched a bit of Royal Rumble 2001 last night before going to bed. I have a weird habit of looking up events on WP as I'm watching to see the results.

Yeah they took a left turn and we ended up with Bray vs. I genuinely can't remember. Is this when they did Bray/Taker?

XL 07-29-2017 05:59 PM

Hahaha. I just checked. That was the year they had Rock bury Rowan in a few seconds and Bray was there to watch.

I like that Hawkins can see the funny side of it.

Cool King 07-30-2017 11:41 AM

I also hope that maybe because his 100 match losing streak is now known to pretty much everyone, that it will be worked into an angle with him in some way.

Maybe tomorrow on Raw he brings it up before his match and he vows to go on a 100 match winning streak, which will make the fans in attendance laugh and doubt him.

He then ends up winning his match to everyone's surprise but his win is not by pin or submission and the next week he does the whole "told you so" thing.

He then goes on a winning streak but he never wins decisively. He wins by countout, DQ, refereeing mistake and so on until eventually it gets to the point where people will actually be invested in his matches, either because they really want to see him lose, see in what manner he'll manage to scrape a victory or see him actually win a match via pinfall or submission.

Ok, Noid.

Cool King 07-30-2017 11:43 AM

We all have a little bit of Noid in us.

Lock Jaw 07-30-2017 11:53 AM

Although Noid would have continued your fantasy booking until the point where Curt Hawkins wins the Universal Title.

Cool King 07-30-2017 12:15 PM

Yeah, that would just be ridiculous. Typical Noid.

If I were to continue it, it would the WWE Championship that Hawkins would win in the end.

Rammsteinmad 07-30-2017 01:57 PM

Still one of the single greatest big boots ever.

Test had one of the best Big Boots in my opinion.

Melkymania 2017 for Curt Hawkins.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-30-2017 04:23 PM

At least he can't complain about 50/50 booking.

GWC Intensity : Doughboy vs The Kid feat CWB drinking a beer!

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GmRwNSUKpl0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>

Another kick ass GWC match that you simply have to watch if you want to call yourself a fan of wrestling.
And since I see there is a lot of CWB fans around these parts of town, this video features CWB drinking a beer while the Doughboy John Forge is getting an interview!

Watch, enjoy, comment and subscribe!

Sixx 07-30-2017 06:33 PM

Doughboy is truly a star.

#BROKEN Hasney 07-30-2017 07:01 PM

Hawkins should just win the title. Jinder did even though he's boring, so Curt has a slight advantage even.

Bad News Gertner 07-30-2017 08:57 PM

C.W FUCKING B!!

Bad News Gertner 07-30-2017 08:59 PM

Lol Test was legit hurting people with that Big Boot back when he first started doing it. So fucking great though.

Raven's podcast is a pretty fun listen. Not as good as Edge and Christian's but it's probably the second best wrestler podcast

So Bo Dallas is a conspiracy nut.

Santino had the Honk-A-Meter... Hawkins should have the Brooklyn Brawl-ometer! :shifty:

Then again, that's a sizable loss streak Brawler had. Hawkins would have to be employed longer than JTG to have a shot at breaking that record.

You mean in reality, or kayfabe?

If for real, I wonder who the bigger one is, he or Bray (since Husky already professed he was into that kinda stuff)? And also, are they are on that path "for entertainment purposes", or if they are legit dwelling well within tinfoil hat territory?

Emperor Smeat 07-30-2017 11:46 PM

Possible huge news in the "Broken" gimmick saga between the Hardys and GFW/Anthem.

US Patent Office refused 4 trademark filings by GFW related to the gimmick and right now consider "Broken Matt" to be owned by Matt Hardy since he filed the request first. The others were rejected due to ambiguity and/or confusion with already existing trademarks.

WWE's website considers the Parking Lot match Cena had with Eddie Guerrero to be his best match ever on Smackdown.

The match he had against Kurt Angle that WWE always hypes as a huge deal doesn't rank in the Top 5.

Article was part of them hyping up the upcoming Cena-Nakamura match they are considering as "dream match" status.
