I didn't know that was the reason for her absence. :(

I'm not really sure where to post this so I'll go for here.

Lucha Va Voom made a nifty video to celebrate their ten year anniversary. They are a Los Angeles based organization that combines Burlesque Shows with Lucha Libre action.

The latest issue of WWE Magazine hints that WrestleMania XXX will be held in a city of "Olympic Proportions".
Hmmmmmm...

Maybe they are finally doing a WM in London?

That could be a great way to kick off the 30th anniversary of your biggest show by finally taking it overseas.

(If it ends up being Salt Lake City I'm going to rofl because that idea sounds bizarre to me)

Tazz Dan 09-10-2012 05:27 PM

It's gonna be in Sydney Australia :y:

London is a long shot, but if it just happens to be in London, then I don't care how much tickets cost, I'll be there.

But thinking more realistically, if the hint is saying "Olympic Proportions" then it'll most likely be either St. Louis (1904 Olympics), Los Angeles (1932 & 1984 Olympics), Atlanta (1996 Olympics) or Montréal (1976 Olympics).

I guess you could also throw in Mexico City, as that hosted the 1968 Olympics and has more of a chance than London does, as it isn't overseas.

slik 09-10-2012 05:51 PM

Atlanta would be a disappointment since they were just recently there. Montreal could be quite interesting as could St. Louis. I suppose Vancouver is a possibility as well. The only venue in Los Angeles they could currently use is Dodger Stadium.

I know you're all dying to know my favourite promo ever. Well here's the two tied for 1st back to back. Wrestlemania VIII wins.

Why not the Staples Center?

Also, he did sell the nutshot from River in the movie, even clear into them being back on the ship and figuring out what happened. That more than makes up for that one Sheamus selljob.

I don't think they'd want to go from a stadium to an arena.

The Rose Bowl and Memorial Stadium are too large (they both seat 95,000 without putting any seats on the field), not to mention Memorial Stadium is nowhere near as nice as the stadiums they've gone to the last few years.

There is The Home Depot Center, where the Galaxy and Chivas play, but it would be too small I have a feeling (it seats around 30,000 without using the field).

Dodger Stadium seats around 55,000 without using the field, which is a lot more attainable.

Tom Guycott 09-10-2012 07:08 PM

Speaking of, it took me a minute to notice that pic above was of Bagwell, not Baldwin.

I'm not sure "too many seats" is a problem. And Sunlife Stadium is a shit-tip and look what they did with that.

That's a really good point.

When I look at the picture below they've renovated it enough it should be fine.

I get concerned though about the seats because it's going to be harder to hide empty seats in an outdoor stadium in Los Angeles, when the show would start at 4pm and darkness wouldn't set in until the last hour or so.

This is no worse than the big mystery being who they are, when half of the stable are "unrecognizable nobodys" anyhow. Besides "bobblehead" and "armbreaker".

Seriously, there have been 2-3 different "confirmed" guys who appeared without a mask at some point on TV, including A Double's tortured prisoner. Did you know who any of them were?

CSL 09-10-2012 07:25 PM

I'm fairly sure they could sell 100,000 tickets to an anniversary WrestleMania. Not to mention a bunch of the seats won't be available anyway given the end of the stadium where set/stage etc is

#1-norm-fan 09-10-2012 07:29 PM

They were trying to get WrestleMania 29 or 30 at Cowboys Stadium which also seats a shitload of people.

CSL 09-10-2012 07:30 PM

they'll surely wind up at Cowboys Stadium over the next few years and it'll look amazing

CSL 09-10-2012 07:31 PM

like the modern WrestleMania III in terms of "holy fuck, look at that"

slik 09-10-2012 07:38 PM

Those are all really good points.

I think you might be onto something. There would be a lot of bitching in the IWC about L.A. getting both SummerSlam and WrestleMania afterwards...but then again, it's the IWC and their will always be lots of bitching.

James Steele 09-10-2012 07:54 PM

WrestleMania in Cowboys Stadium will be the night I finally <s>rub my groin on</s> get to meet Triple H in person hell or high water.
