You sure it was Ryback's fault? You sure it didn't have something to do with WWE creative being horrifically bad and Curtis Axel being almost as bad?

I have a soft spot for Curtis Axel. He's a wonderful enhancement guy, in my opinion. He'd make a great bag-carrying henchman.

#1-norm-fan 06-16-2017 10:52 PM

Axel was fine as a comedy jobber with Sandow. I love Simple Fan and respect him sticking with Impact like he has... but he's on record as saying Curtis Axel is better than his father was. I think he may overrate him a bit...

Dude, I wasn't making fun of you -- you're just a good barometer of dumb. Chill out and don't be so sensitive.

Haha, being compared to his father is what absolutely kills Axel.

Have to live the gimmick with my favorites. Better than Perfect was a "perfect" phrase for a heel Curtis Axel. Never really liked the guy as Michael McGillicutty but as soon as he debuted as Curtis Axel and embraced his lineage, I was a fan. WWE gave him a small push with the count out wins over HHH and Cena and I was hooked. Hate to see the guy not do anything because he can truly wrestle and can be entertaining given the chance.

WWE Creative gets alot of the blame, pairing Ryback and Axel is a horrible idea. Axel is not the best on the mic but thats what Paul was good for. Guy can pull off the comedy stuff fine but does need a prop being serious I think. Flair with Axel could be comedic and serious at the same time I think.

The resemblance is uncanny. I hope the kid get a fair chance irrespective of what his father did at the end of his life.

I think he ended Daniel's life. He was the special needs one.

GD 06-17-2017 08:07 AM

If that's the real twitter page, the amount of retweets with respect to Chris Benoit is scary.

Ol Dirty Dastard 06-17-2017 09:27 AM

I mean, Mike Adamle's delivery may be a bit clunky, but Noid did in fact take his ball, and go home because people liked Alexa Bliss.

Gangrel is at a booth today the flea market here in London, ON.

I just read that he was the PWI Rookie of the Year in 1993.

Pass him off as Ham Porter from the Sandlot's kid.

totally my thoughts. my buddy went down, paid $20 for a photo. He said there was a line. I said there must have been someone selling churros beside his booth and people got confused.

The amusing thing is Paul Ellering is still doing his thing 30 years later.

I think where it came off the rails was pretty much the writers abandoning his newly packaged badassery after like three weeks to relegate him to "lackey meatshield" for Paul Heyman. They could've brought in another "Paul Heyman Guy" for that role while still transitioning Axel into legit threat territory. There is only so much seriousness fans are willing to invest when a guy is consistently being beaten up backstage and counting the lights in matches. This would sound like fundamental psychology, but has been a thing WWE has dropped the boat with for years and years at this point.

So, one of the folks at the most recent Tryouts was Reginald Gibbs, who wrestles at the local show I go to every other show (once every four months. :( ) as Odinson. Who is Odinson, you ask? This guy is Odinson...

I hope he gets the call up, even if he does look a bit like Sheamus.

Roman Reigns Spoiler for Monday
SPOILER: show
He's supposedly going to challenge Goldberg to a match at Summerslam which makes absofuckinglutely zero sense.

Nobody wants to see that.

Their match at Wrestle Kingdom 11 was insanely good and became an instant fan of Takahashi because of it.

Possibly might be involved in tonight's PPV somehow.
