Evil Vito 10-17-2016 12:36 PM

He has no chance at making the majors. He hit a few HRs in the instructional league but now that he's facing actual prospects he's getting dominated as expected. He hasn't been able to square up to 90 MPH fastballs.

But the thing is...EVERYBODY ALREADY KNOWS it was a publicity stunt/money grab. But I fail to see why that matters. The Mets are making free money off of this as are the fucking Arizona Fall League.

It's like Keith Law's bosses at ESPN told him he needed to write about Tebow, and he's butt hurt about it.

Evil Vito 10-17-2016 02:02 PM

Bautista said that "circumstances" are against the Jays and implied the fix was in.

Why would the league want to rig a World Series against Toronto?

Evil Vito 10-17-2016 02:02 PM

OH I get it. The league won't allow a Canadian team to win during a Presidential election year.

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...8c090b511e.jpg

Oh wait...

Clerk 10-17-2016 02:46 PM

Indians will win the WORLD Series. Now there's gonna be 2 Champions. Indians and Cavaliers. It's biblical

So LeBron James can say he won another championship by coming back to Cleveland

screech 10-17-2016 06:44 PM

Feel like the strike zones have been all over the place for everyone in these playoffs.

Clerk 10-17-2016 07:01 PM

Yes droford, Lebron James is the best basketball player in the world.

Clerk 10-17-2016 07:02 PM

Anyone else think they should change the name of the World Series to the National Series?

Droford 10-17-2016 07:02 PM

LeBron James will take credit for the Indians winning

He should get a little. Great motivator

Emperor Smeat 10-17-2016 07:53 PM

Canadian courts recently ruled against banning the Indians logo from being worn on Cleveland's jerseys for their ALCS games in Toronto.

Whole issue started after an indigenous Canadian activist filed a suit against the team claiming the logo and team name violated Canada's human right code.

MLB deferred on the side of Cleveland but did tease they understand why some would find the name and logo offensive. Also deferred because they legit had no time to even consider the idea of postponing or moving the games to a different location because of how late it was filed.

Lock Jaw 10-17-2016 08:29 PM

Cleveland pitcher with a mangled pinky...... busted open his stitches already and gushing everywhere...... what did they expect..... did they think it would not open up........

Lock Jaw 10-17-2016 08:30 PM

Respect to the dude to even attempt throwing with that pinky.......

ClockShot 10-17-2016 08:31 PM

Bauer's done. Stiches opened up.

Now it gets interesting.

Lock Jaw 10-17-2016 08:37 PM

Jays can't capitalize on the two walks.... damn..... was unusual/unfortunate situation, but I would have taken a run or two from it, not picky............

I want a little credit in the Indians 2016 World Series ChampionsDVD too then

Droford 10-17-2016 09:28 PM

Droford said on a wrestling message board the Indians would sweep the Red Sox and beat the Jays in 5(or less)

Droford 10-17-2016 10:59 PM

I should have predicted a sweep

Damian Rey 2.0 10-17-2016 11:04 PM

Nobody cares Droford.

In more interesting news, this series has been ridiculously close. Credit to Cleveland. They're stifling an offense with a depleted pitching staff. Francona doing a marvelous bullpen job this postseason.

ClockShot 10-17-2016 11:13 PM

WELL IT'S TIME!

IT'S TIME!

IT'S MILLER TIME! TIME! TIME! TIME!

Damian Rey 2.0 10-17-2016 11:17 PM

Feel like it's looking bleak for the Jays. Unfortunately.

I care. I'm basically going to have nailed my 3 predictions right on the nose with the 4th (Dodgers in 7) looking good too

Emperor Smeat 10-17-2016 11:42 PM

If Cleveland manages to win the World Series this year, Cubs should legit consider making a special trade deal to get Francona as their manager. Would have broken 2 big curses/droughts and would go down as one of the greatest ever if he broke a 3rd one.

Maybe 4 if you consider the White Sox breaking their long drought as "by association" since they had to go through Francona's Red Sox in the playoffs that year.

Evil Vito 10-18-2016 12:04 AM

The Indians would be absolute fucking retards to get rid of Francona.

Emperor Smeat 10-18-2016 01:28 AM

Maybe if the Cubs sweetened the deal although they could also just wait another 2 years since that is when Francona's current deal expires before the option years become a possible factor.

Then again whole thing assumes Francona wins the World Series and has some mythical curse breaking aura around him.

Droford 10-18-2016 01:45 AM

Cleveland should keep him but send him to the Browns.

ClockShot 10-18-2016 08:10 AM

Indians either gonna send Kluber out for the Mortal Kombat "Finish Them" this afternoon. Or Clevinger to give Toronto some kind of hope.

Evil Vito 10-18-2016 09:07 AM

If the Indians win tonight, they're going to be idle for a full week while the NLCS won't end until Thursday at the earliest, possibly not until the weekend.

Feel like its happened a lot in the past decade but excessive rest seems to hurt teams going into the World Series. Not much you can do about it.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-18-2016 09:26 AM

Indians locked in. Jays are kind of lolworthy, Cleveland is the much tougher team of the two. Love'm but lost even more HESPECT for Bautista for his "circumstances" comment. So disrespectful.

Jays need a new manager who makes in game adjustments. They aren't going to get one because Gibby just had a 2nd run in the ALCS but this is as far as his managing style can get a team.

Francona is a fucking beaut.

And yeah elongated rest could hurt the Indians.

I always thought the Indians were good. I didn't have any idea why anyone was favouring the Jays. Jerkbag.

Ruien 10-18-2016 12:10 PM

Jays crushed Droford's dreams by beating the O's so they are winners in my book.

Dumb Canada rigging the game

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-18-2016 10:52 PM

Wonder what Bautista thought of the circumstances of this game.

Damian Rey 2.0 10-18-2016 10:58 PM

What did I miss about Bautista?

Emperor Smeat 10-18-2016 10:59 PM

Implied MLB and/or umps are rigging the series in Cleveland's favor since they don't want a Canadian team in the World Series.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-18-2016 11:01 PM

Damian Rey 2.0 10-18-2016 11:05 PM

That may work in the regular season, but not in the playoffs. If you have a starter who is confident in his stuff, and he pounds the strike zone, the Cubs are in trouble.

Ruien 10-19-2016 08:15 AM

It's awesome to see a ton of Cub fans at the LA stadium. Chicago fans travel so well in every sport.

Evil Vito 10-19-2016 08:23 AM

I think the Cubs will be fine. Every team has a couple of clunkers in a row. Plus Hill's been great at Dodger stadium.

The Dodgers are running out a 20 year old in Game 4. Tough to see him not having jitters and struggling.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-19-2016 09:13 AM

It'll be interesting if Jays can get it to game 6. It'll be tough, they're pretty much playing against themselves until it's Miller time.

Game 6 means Cleveland could potentially start getting jittery, and they don't have the benefit of good pitching matchups until they go into the bullpen. However, I don't see a Francona managed team coughing up a 3-0 lead.

Clerk 10-19-2016 05:00 PM

Who dat!? Who dat!? Said they don't beat them Indians? No one sucka

Lock Jaw 10-19-2016 05:51 PM

Miller Time and Jays still down 3-0...... not looking promising at all.......

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-19-2016 06:23 PM

Yikes. Miller is MVP?

Lock Jaw 10-19-2016 06:47 PM

Jays lose..... got excited there for a minute after Bautista hit lead off double..... but Jays offense once again does not deliver tonight......

R.I.P. Jays

Lock Jaw 10-19-2016 06:49 PM

I guess I will now throw my support behind the Chicago Cubs........

Damian Rey 2.0 10-19-2016 09:41 PM

Cleveland v Chicago for the World Series would be amazing. Hoping that's what we get.

Feel bad for the Jays. With Bautista and Edwin leaving, I wonder how they reload. Maybe they resign Edwin. But the free agent market is a dumpster firel.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-19-2016 11:02 PM

Love the Jays, and was obviously with them all the way, but Bautista made a mockery of them and Cleveland's pitching eating up the Jays the way it did was a microcosm of the offence for most of the year. Lots of sizzle, very little steak.

After game 2 and seeing that the Jays were lacking the grit required at the plate, I made my peace with this series as a Jays fan.

Ruien 10-19-2016 11:16 PM

Its okay because your team killed Droford's hope and dreams. That is better than winning the World Series at this point.

Buck Showalter purposely didn't pitch Britton. He was just being nice and wanted to give another team a chance to win it all before the Orioles win the 2017 World Series.
