Remember having zero interest in it when it released. But Michael Douglas' straight man to Paul Rudd's comedic antics was perfect. Liked the creativity in fight sequences.

22 Jump Street-8/10
Jesus Christ I laughed throughout the whole fucking movie. There's a scene with Jonah Hill and Ice Cube that is just fucking amazing. My only complaint was that it went a little long. But very funny nonetheless.

I'd already seen 2 separate documentaries on the true story, and while the film was really compelling at times and everyone involved is in top form, it kind of skims over the decent of DuPont, which the most interesting aspect.

Hunger Games: Mokingjay Pt.2 - 4/10

Movies got worse as they went with the finale being a real turd.

The Accountant - 4/5

I echo Nicky's opinion above. But, swap Anna Kendrick for Cyndi Addai-Robinson. Enjoyed the twists at the end.

warcraft - 4.5/10 that was pretty fucking stupid

Wishbone 11-03-2016 06:07 AM

Doctor Strange - 8/10

Great movie, and another fine entry into the MCU. Eggs Benedict Cucumber Snatch was amazing as always, and the action and comedy was mixed perfectly in true Marvel fashion. The magic and fights look really great too. However, if you're not a fan of the "Marvel formula" you'll probably have a bad time. I imagine the ending especially will have some people (mostly the DCEU fanboys) bitching and moaning because "it's not serious enough or dark and gritty enough!"

Wishbone 11-03-2016 06:09 AM

Oh, and the mid credit scene is hysterical. After credit scene is sorta meh, but sets up for a sequel nicely.

Kung Fu Panda 3-7/10
Step down from the first. But the jokes were funny, animation was great and assuming it's only a trilogy, rounded out the story nicely.

I'd be okay if they didn't... I think it was a nice one-off foray into the HP world, doesn't really need to tell anything more than it did IMO

Would love to see more movies similar to it, episodic accounts of diff characters in HP universe etc though

Lock Jaw 12-17-2016 08:08 PM

Agree, it was good, but dunno how they will stretch five sequels out of it..... Was "glad" that it told a "complete story" and stuff without doing a lot of "obvious setting up for franchise/sequels"........

Would be "ok" if each "sequel" doesn't "star" these characters, but what "ties the movies together" is the bad guy...... like it is showing "various events/defeats in his life"........

Fun story. Heroes were underdeveloped. But the story and making sense of the death star flaw was great, the use of Tarkin was cool, and Vader was a fucking beast.
