First Spiderman game I have wanted to purchase in YEARS. Now if only a Superman game could catch a similar break. Also, a Justice League game in this style would be very welcome!

Been trying to find a name for the guy who created Megaman, but coming up with nothing. Everyone always just says Inafune created Megaman, But he didn't. And Inafune himself only ever refers to him as "mentor" or "project supervisor". Never by name.

You'd think someone who created such a phenomenon would be more known, even if he hasn't been in the industry in a long time. I'm thinking he did something that got him blackballed, and no one even says his name anymore. Only reason I can think of why this guy and his accomplishments have been wiped from history.

During a special event at the 2007 Tokio Game Show, Inafune revealed that he was not responsible for the creation of Mega Man himself. "I'm often called the father of Mega Man, but actually, his design was already created when I joined Capcom," he explained. "My mentor (Capcom senior member Akira Kitamura), who was the designer of the original Mega Man, had a basic concept of what Mega Man was supposed to look like. So I only did half of the job in creating him. I didn't get to completely design a Mega Man [protagonist] from scratch until Zero (Mega Man X, SNES). Back when the SNES was coming out, I was asked to give Mega Man a redesign, so I created this character. But I realized that this design wouldn't be accepted as Mega Man, so I had another designer create the new Mega Man, and I worked on Zero to release him as the 'other main character' that would steal all the good scenes!

Helped develop one of the most rare NES carts to date. If he wasn't absorbed into Mitchell Corporation as the site suggests, he most likely faded into nothing after being a "one hit wonder" with Mega Man

Being that Inafune crafted the games I'd still consider him father of the series. Kamiya crafted Bayonetta but she herself was designed by another female artist.

Thing is, he didn't though. Kitamura crafted the gameplay, the pick your stage gimmick and everything else that made Megaman what he is today. Inafune was in the art department and did sprite work as well. Wasn't until 3 that he took over as the project leader and implemented his own major gameplay ideas. By then the groundwork was firmly established.

Not trying to take away from Inafune btw. He was involved in the series for a lot longer, and I'm fine with him getting the lion's share of credit for the series success.

I just think this other guy deserves some more credit, considering he typically gets none at all.

Also gonna take this oppurtunity to say if you have any love for the Megaman series, go buy MM25: Megaman & Megaman X complete works. It is the greatest love letter to Megaman fans ever put in print, and it's 400 pages of art work and developer comments about the titular series. It's where I found out about Inafune not actually being the creator.

Maybe Capcom took offense to him leaving, so they refused to acknowledge him and give Inafune the honors.

According to an internal memo, Activision is merging Neversoft into Infinity Ward to create a single "super" studio with the official reason related to the Call of Duty series.

Neversoft's boss and lead director have both retired as part of the merger process. Activision's executive VP of worldwide studios will become the new boss while Infinity Ward's boss will still have a leadership role for this newly merged studio.

1) Some EA related news as the company reveals Titanfall managed to sell around 925,000 copies in the US since its launch (digital versions and Xbox 360 not counted). EA also stated there will not be a Need for Speed game this year although plans are for the next game to arrive in 2015. The first Star Wars game from DICE, Star Wars: Battlefront, was confirmed to be getting shown at E3 next month.

2) Some Nintendo related news as the company's fiscal 2014 report revealed a $456 million operating loss, a $228 million net loss, and are currently estimating only 3.6 million Wii U's to be sold this year. Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire were announced to be getting remakes called Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the 3DS and both being released this November.

3) Sony revealed some new details for the Playstation Plus Edition of DriveClub with some good and bad news. The good news being the PS+ Edition will have access to all game modes and is around $10 cheaper to purchase all the game's content than buying the full game. The bad news is all the paid content gets locked once the PS+ subscription ends or gets canceled.

EA and Dice don't make a great team. I have yet to play a single game on Origin despite owning them, I can't bear it or Uplay. But I can't ignore Battlefront 3 for this.

Battlefield 4 is fun as hell. I am so down for this.

• Nintendo will be showing off their own NFC type game (ex. Skylanders, Infinity) at E3 with the figurines to be useable in a variety of games.
• The first Quality of Life product is expected to be released next year.
• The upcoming June firmware update for the Wii U will reduce the system's loading time by around 20 seconds.
• Monolith Studio's ROG "X" was confirmed for a late 2014 release.
• Nintendo of America stated an exclusive Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle will only be available at the Nintendo World Store (same blue shell statue bundle the UK is getting).

2) ZeniMax Media states the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Elder Scrolls Online has been delayed from its originally planned June 2014 release to now an early 2015 release with issues porting the game as the official reason.

3) 2014 Fiscal Reports

• Namco's fiscal report revealed Dark Soul 2 managed to ship around 1.2 million copies since its launch although overall company profits were down compared to last year.
• Konami's fiscal report revealed the company saw a 50% drop in overall profits and a 3 million drop in overall game sales compared to the 2013 fiscal report.
• Capcom's fiscal report the company saw an increase in net income by around 16% and net game sales were up by around 9% with Monster Hunter 4 contributing the most to both increases.

4) Epic Games states they have started development on a new Unreal Tournament game with the project to be a collaboration between the studio and fan feedback, the game itself will be free when released, and will support a paid marketplace for user mods and content.

1) Sega's 2014 fiscal report revealed the company managed to generate $300 million in overall profits and Total War: Rome 2 was their top selling game at 1.13 million copies sold although no other game managed to reach a million in sales, total game sales were down compared to last year, and overall profits were also down compared to last year.

Update to EA and the GameSpy server shutdown as EA states they haven't been able to create a fix to let older Battlefield games keep their online multiplayer after May 31st.

Also includes both Star Wars: Battlefront I & II since they now own the rights to the series.
