I would really like to see Shibata kick the shit out of The Miz just for fun.

Jordan 04-13-2017 10:29 AM

Just want to point out that its kind of ridiculous that Finn Balor is in the "heavyweight" division and guys like Neville and Aries are in the cruiser division. I mean I get it, Finn is a star and shouldn't be relegated to the mid card but really neither should Aries either, even though he's adding something special to the cruisers, he should be wrestling the big stars too.

Instead of apologizing or trying to defuse the situation, made things worse on his newest episode by basically doubling down on the homophobic rants.

I thought he was crazy religious now and above name calling.

Crazy religious often means you can justify to yourself being homophobic.

Sepholio 04-13-2017 12:25 PM

Yeah crazy religious people are the biggest homophobes on the planet.

Ezra 04-13-2017 12:32 PM

Any links to this podcast?

Edit - nvm, I found it.

Agreed. Especially as Neville looks fucking jacked compared to Balor.

Wrestling fan Jennifer Kuchler has made a Change.org petition to have Braun Strowman fired after he beat up Roman Reigns on RAW. The petition reads:

Quote:

To the WWE we the WWE Universe are not please with Strowman’s Actions tonight on Raw following his brutal attack on Roman Reigns. Me and a lot of the WWE Universe Want Strowman Fired effective immediately he crossed the line tonight following the attack on Roman and now Roman is in the hospital with injuries. If this is what you call Entertainment YOU Failed Miserably. I don’t care if he goes to SD Live We want him OFF of Raw or Fired from the WWE. I have been a fan of Raw for years and out of everything that I have seen happen this was by far the absolute Worst.

Jennifer Kuchler, one of the many reasons we need public education.

Pro wrestling is serious business for Jennifer Kuchler.

I agree and didn't really like them throwing the Universal Championship on him but pretty sure that's the reason they dropped "heavyweight" from the titles official names even though the WWE championship still says heavyweight on it. It is weird how they dropped the heavyweight moniker at about the same time they brought back the Cruiserweight division.

Really pumped about Drew Mac on NXT. He's truly gonna be the fucking man here and then when the inveitable call up comes, I really see nothing stopping him from attaining the glory all you Drew marks used to hope for him. I never saw it TBH. Thought he was a pretty boy who wrestled soft style... but fuck... I'm really excited after watching his work on NXT. He could be THE top baby, anywhere. Pretty stoked to see his inevitable feud with Roman too, battle of the long hair pretty boys who can actually work.

Yeah I said it, Roman can work. Suck it.

Awesome to hear. When's he going to show us though?

Jordan 04-13-2017 07:38 PM

He's had plenty of great performances.

Lock Jaw 04-13-2017 08:28 PM

Yeah, if he's got a good opponent he can have the occasional good match.

Evil Vito 04-13-2017 08:51 PM

Roman definitely rises or falls to the level of his competition. He can help put together something great with a good opponent but he's not capable of carrying others.

Yeah but the same could be said for anyone who isn't AJ Styles.

Not really. Sure, everyone who isn't AJ Styles occasionally has mediocre or bad matches, but this is one of the best line ups in-ring that WWE has ever had.

Roman can work better than he can read scripted promos, but but that's like saying I menstruate better than I lactate.

#BROKEN Hasney 04-14-2017 03:19 AM

Everyone seems unsure as to if it's an angle or not, but Shibata might be seriously injured. Really hope it's a work.

Vastardikai 04-14-2017 08:48 AM

I am hoping work. In any event, the bad ass headbutt isn't so cool.

Sepholio 04-14-2017 09:12 AM

I still fully believe it's a work.

But yeah nuclear head butts seem like a really bad idea in general.

Evil Vito 04-14-2017 09:15 AM

Unbelievably scummy on NJPW's part if it's a work tbh

Sepholio 04-14-2017 09:30 AM

How is it scummy though if it's a work? It's like a movie or a TV show story line. Man suffers career ending injury in the process of defeating one of the greats but somehow works his way back against all odds to reclaim his place at the top. It's the Daniel Bryan angle imo (still think Bryan will wrassle again, maybe this year, but probably next year at Mania against AJ).

This kind of angle is run all the time by companies. NJPW just made it look real and could be playing it very close to the chest. One of the reasons wrestling isn't as popular as it used to be is because everything is spoiled nowadays. If you want that old reaction and popularity back you have to keep things secretive and the more real it seems, the more believable it will be to the masses.

Besides, dehydration doesn't typically make concussions worse long term per se. It makes the symptoms more intense and makes recovery take a little bit longer if not treated. Seems weird to me that they list that as a contributing factor here for this being career ending. If he did legit suffer a concussion (which I fully believe is possible with every use of that move) then the dehydration would actually explain why the symptoms seemed so bad at first and would in a lot of instance indicate that the concussion itself wasn't as severe as originally believed.

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-14-2017 09:59 AM

Yeah I think blurring the lines of reality is a good thing for wrestling.

Jordan 04-14-2017 10:33 AM

Anyone have footage of this sick headbutt?

Jordan 04-14-2017 10:46 AM

Revelation:

Bray and Bo are on the same roster now.

Observation:

Bo was really fucking good as NXT champion but hasn't been given shit to work with since his main roster debut.

Resolution:

Bray has to bring Bo on board to rebuild his family... Bray and Bo vs The Hardy... Sheamus & Ceasaro, The Club, The Revival.... would be a great addition to the tag league on Raw.

Of course Bray has to put over Balor first, but after that where does he go? Recruit Bo.

Jordan 04-14-2017 10:56 AM

WWE is losing it when it comes to booking this cruiser division. Just a quick glance at the roster list and damn, they have about a dozen world class pro wrestlers and most of them haven't been on Raw for more than 5 minutes, if at all. If WWE wants to truly overload the world with content why isn't the cruiser divison touring small arena's and ballrooms, filming stand alone tapings (in the style of NXT) for 205 Live, while being featured on Raw to give them a main stream push. The talent roster there is ridiculous. Aries, Neville, Perkins, Metalik, Nese, Gulak, Tozawa, Tajiri, Alexander, Gallagher, Kalisto, Dorado, Dar, Swann, Kenderick... not to mention the guys they could use from NXT...

So frustrating to see all these talented workers go to waste. Perhaps some aren't upset about getting paid to do nothing but you know that most of those guys love to work, you can see it when they get the chance to perform... why not tour with them? Hell even just shooting a month of tapings at full sail would give everyone a better more unique experience from the workers to the fans.
