The Destroyer 10-21-2011 02:57 AM

Based on the writers, I smell it being a crossover event universe wide, rather than just an X-Men thing.

Next Big Thing 10-21-2011 07:46 AM

Didn't they allude to the Phoenix and Hope Summers in the last X-men Schism? I think it was a convo between Cyclops and Emma, but I may be mistaken.

Yeah but recently the Phoenix and Jean are one and the same. So odds are Jean's coming back and Scott's gonna be feeling a bit guilty.

Cause he's a douche.

Reavant 10-21-2011 02:01 PM

Ive heard jean from AOA is somehow coming over to be on wolverines team

Kalyx triaD 10-21-2011 02:33 PM

lol wut?

Kalyx triaD 10-21-2011 02:34 PM

Marvel continuity, I love you. You have no qualms ending Peter Parker's marriage and having Spidey 2099 in the 616 universe. Don't get me started with the Sommer's bloodline.

Captain of Fun 10-21-2011 05:08 PM

Yeah, X-Force is in the AoA right now.

X-force is a great book btw.

DaveBrawl 10-22-2011 06:54 PM

Sweet, Marvel is supposedly going to be launching a new Age of Apocalypse series sometime next year. I had a large chunk of those books years ago and I loved that series more than the standard X-Men stories. I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Uncanny X-Force #19.1 is the springboard of it and will be out in January.

Ummm, what's with Wolverine's left hand?

In AOA Cyclops blasted it off and Wolverine put out one of Scott's eyes. So Wolverine just put an adamantium stump cap put in place.

Why hasn't it regenerated?

Because it was a full power optic blast and it blew the adamantium covered bones clean off. Can't grow the bones back, so no hand.

Sixx 10-23-2011 06:46 AM

Oh. Always thought adamantium was like undestroyable or somethin'.

Funky Fly 10-23-2011 06:49 AM

Yeah, for the most part. The hand was blown off through sheer concussive force. The bones are probably still in tact a long way from where the fight happened just with no flesh on them.

Sixx 10-23-2011 07:04 AM

So if someday Logan finds the missing hand can he like reattach it?

I know this might sound like a retarded question, but I just don't fully understand how his healing factor works.

The Destroyer 10-23-2011 08:11 AM

Neither do the writers. They just use it to suit the story, I think.

Sixx 10-23-2011 09:49 AM

Ok, so I guess he will get his hand back.

Captain of Fun 10-23-2011 11:47 AM

Nah, probably not.

dronepool 10-23-2011 11:48 AM

Fear Itself was a steaming pile of shit. From now I will not subscribe to 'major Marvel events' (at stores) without reading the first issue or two. Uncanny X-Force and Amazing Spider-Man are the most enjoyable titles from Marvel for me. Might even stop following Avengers/New Avengers after the whole Dark Avengers Return arc just to buy less over priced comics.

Pretty much this.

This is why I download and read the books every week from torrent sites. If I like a story, I'll buy the trade. Storing single issues of comics is a chore, but trades fit nicely on the bookshelf.

Also, by downloading the weekly DCP and Minuteman scans, I can read everything that comes out, and discover new titles and story arcs to buy, that I never would have come across if I only read what I bought.

Also, yeah, Fear Itself was crap.
SPOILER: show
Don't know what the fuck they were thinking, killing Bucky. There goes hundreds of fresh potential stories, down the toilet just for a cheap shock moment. Bullshit.

Uncanny X-Force(including the original book with x-23, warpath, and archangel) has been the most consistently good book the last few years. Even the artwork has never slipped once.

Feel like the Avengers, New Avengers, and Secret Avengers have been pretty good so far. Of all the Avengers titles, Academy is definitely the best, so if you haven't checked that out yet, give it a look.

Future Foundation is giving X-Force a run for it's money. Haven't read the more recent issues yet, but the first two were really good.

Lock Jaw 10-23-2011 03:14 PM

Is X-Factor still really good? I remember a few years back that it was easily the best X-Title.

Captain of Fun 10-23-2011 04:07 PM

Dunno, haven't read it since Madrox and Layla were sent into the future.

The Lizard..

Kalyx triaD 11-30-2011 06:07 PM

Needs lab coat.

LuigiD 11-30-2011 06:15 PM

Don't know how I feel about it yet.
Since I was a kid, Lizard has always been one of my fav Spidey villains.
Have the Todd McFarlarne look fresh inside my head.
We will see.

Lock Jaw 11-30-2011 06:27 PM

Apparently that is an "early concept" and that the final one "looks bigger".

That looks more like Scorpion to me than The Lizard :wtf:

alvarado52 11-30-2011 11:55 PM

really hating the visual direction they are going with so far. Have zero interest in the movie.

Sixx 12-01-2011 02:17 AM

This looks shit.

Rammsteinmad 12-01-2011 01:04 PM

Obviously I'll await final judgment until I've seen the movie, but if that's the Lizard, I'm not too excited about it. Besides generally looking shit, he looks much too human.

Rammsteinmad 12-01-2011 01:05 PM

Never imagined I'd not be interested in a Spider-Man movie...

LuigiD 12-01-2011 01:08 PM

Perhaps he will start out like that and slowly evolve into the Lizard that we love? just hopeful thinking..bah..:|
