OOOH Shit! The interaction between Supes and Kara is awesome.

Krimzon7 04-26-2013 10:31 AM

Overall...decent movie. Need to rewatch as i was preoccupied while watching the movie. Initially I'd give this movie 6/10

dronepool 04-26-2013 01:29 PM

I'll probably find a stream or something later tonight. Cool :-D

McLegend 04-26-2013 07:30 PM

I loved Arrow this week.

Krimzon7 04-26-2013 07:48 PM

This was the most 'CW' Arrow so far. Lot's of melodrama...And with that much sap, I still found myself liking the episode.

Lock Jaw 04-26-2013 10:14 PM

I enjoyed Superman: Unbound. Hope they go for a "sequel".

dronepool 04-28-2013 03:20 AM

Superman: Unbound was good.

Krimzon7 05-01-2013 10:00 PM

ARROW WAS AMAZING TONIGHT!!! There are a lot of payoffs coming soon.

Lock Jaw 05-01-2013 10:04 PM

Really need to catch up on that. So behind. Last one I watched was with the Blackhawks or something.

Krimzon7 05-01-2013 10:17 PM

You're in a good spot actually, cuz you get to run off about 5 hours of shit that really advances the story of this season.

Krimzon7 05-01-2013 10:18 PM

They did a LOT of name dropping this week. Well not a lot but I caught some nifty little nuggets that really help to broaden the 'universe' so to speak. I love the potential for this show.

McLegend 05-02-2013 04:04 PM

The fight scene from last night was great.

Daaaaamn. Invulnerability weak to kryptonite, magic, and THE FRIEND ZONE.

Kalyx triaD 05-02-2013 10:31 PM

This strip is SO FUCKING GOOD.

Smallville Season 11 comic continues to make me wish it was on TV.

VSG 05-10-2013 10:26 PM

I just read all 123 of those comic strips- that guy is a genius.

Kalyx triaD 05-10-2013 10:29 PM

The New-52/Legion of Bullies arc was awesome.

Lock Jaw 05-13-2013 11:59 PM

Original New 52 series, "Demon Knights" and "Legion of Super-Heroes" canceled. No effect on the cancellation pool.

The Glass is half full. Love this strip more than I love anything else DC is doing right now.

Lock Jaw 05-15-2013 12:09 AM

Man, I didn't even get that "glass is half full" message until I read your post. I was just like "Yo, what's up with this dramatic shot of his drink? Is this foreshadowing of a drinking problem?"

Kalyx triaD 05-15-2013 12:37 AM

lol

Yep. Kid Supes gets drunk from spiked punch and splits in two, then destroys his "evil half" in a car crusher.

Same here.

Krimzon7 05-15-2013 09:34 PM

Sorry, if I ruined it. Maybe shoulda added spoiler tags.

DaveBrawl 05-15-2013 09:47 PM

Not at all. It added so much more when you told me what they were going for.

Holy fuck.

Shadow 05-17-2013 12:58 AM

And she's already breaking out the bondage gear.

Lock Jaw 05-17-2013 01:09 AM

Thought the birthday party saga was finally over with that last strip. Guess it continues.

mitchables 05-17-2013 01:27 AM

arrow finale was good. they may have tried to wrap up too much too quickly in the space of one episode, though. just felt very intense the whole time. i really enjoyed it, but a couple of times i was like 'jesus, are they gonna slow down at any point?'

oh, well, i guess they did - lot of "there's no time for this but let's make out while we're racing to stop a disaster" moments, which irked me a bit. but generally, i must say, it's done a great job of picking up from being okay at the outset to actually being a show that i'm excited to see each week.

also,
SPOILER: show
did not expect them to kill tommy. genuinely thought he would survive and do the harry osborn thing of replacing his father as arch-enemy but then they started reconciling and everything and then boom, impaled. i DID think they were going to off detective lance, though, which would have made room for the mum to come back, i guess.

also, can't tell which of thea or roy is supposed to be speedy/arsenal/THE SIDEKICK. like obviously roy is gearing up to be a sidekick guy but (and really it's the only thing in her favour) ollie did call thea "speedy" early on. unless roy just becomes arsenal straight up.

really glad they did not kill diggle.

Nowhere Man 05-17-2013 01:23 PM

Apparently DC's doing a tie-in comic if you do the pre-order thing with the Man of Steel DVD/Blu-Ray pack. Normally this wouldn't be too significant, except for two major things:

1) It's written by David Goyer, and it's considered canon in the new continuity.

And

2) One of the major characters we see in it?

SPOILER: show

Motherfucking Kara Zor-El.

There you have it, folks. Kara Zor-El is confirmed in the new Superman/DC movie-verse, which means it's damned likely that we'll see Supergirl in the inevitable MoS sequel.

Kalyx triaD 05-17-2013 01:50 PM

omg

Krimzon7 05-18-2013 01:15 AM

Mind BLOWN. it's literally oozing outta my ear right now

Lock Jaw 05-18-2013 02:16 AM

James Robinson leaving DC Comics. Too bad. His Earth 2 series has been one of the only New 52 books I can stomach keeping up with. Was looking forward to him having a lengthy run on that book and building that world.

I hope whoever takes it over is not crap.

Nowhere Man 05-18-2013 05:02 PM

Seems like DC is just bleeding talent these days. Pretty soon it'll just be Geoff Johns and whatever abominations Scott Lobdell churns out.
