Had a set with my brother (some may remember a Wicked Bison) for the first time in a million years. It's funny, he hates SFxT and I sweep him up in it. Then we go to SSF4 and while I'm not too crazy about it, he's just riding on my rust really. Really weird adjusting to this game, but one thing that comes to mind most is how much safer it seems to jump in or rush somebody down.

Focus Attacks was really tricky putting back into service.

Chun Li may make the return since I've been rediscovering her in SFxT. May drop Vega all together. Looking at Makoto.

Makoto is a fucking whore to get good with, but if you can even get just decent with her, you can body people, as they aren't typically used to fighting her.

Capcom states PSN will get Ultra first on June 3rd, followed by XBLA on June 4th, disc versions on August 5th, and Steam on August 8th.

Why the fuck is Super the Game with Gold release for the 16th instead of the 1st? Wouldn't releasing it now prompt more people to buy Ultra on Tuesday?

You should do what I'm doing. I'm gonna play mostly Makoto, Gouken, and other characters that aren't in SFxT. Then once I'm back in the SF4 groove, I'll go back to the others. Easier to break sfxt habits when you're playing as someone you've never applied them to.

Fuck though, 6 gig download and then ultra on my shitty mountain internet.

Just in case it decides to speed the fuck up, can I play you guys if I only have Super or do I have to have Ultra? Seem to recall with the last update you could play A.E. people without having it yourself.

I've been rocking E. Ryu and just getting the more 'commit heavy' gameplay down. I should be less embarrassing by the time you jump in, and of course once Khuntry and the guys get some sessions in.

Also get your YouTube channel in gear. Online and offline battles are saved for optional upload to your YouTube. While I do have a capture device anyway, I will be testing it to see quality and such. In any case you may not have to wait on me to upload some matches.

Yeah but, if I get the physical disc, I'll get all the costumes and those weird new ones for Hugo etc. I'd also rather have a disc over a download whenever possible.

I'm the opposite. A disc can break or get lost, but you can always just redownload a digital game if it gets deleted.

I keep my games on a shelf so I don't have to worry about that. Though Scribblenauts Unlimited vanished in January and my nephew and I spent the entire day looking for it. Still have no idea where it's gone.

I'm pretty much going digital unless there's no digital version. All X1 games launch digital same day so I'm only going to stores for controllers now.

You both clearly have a greater trust in the technology than I do. I let friends/family borrow games too, so that's another advantage.

Saying all that, I download a lot. I currently have 80+ games downloaded to my Wii U alone. That's not counting Wii downloads.

The most wear and tear I seen a controller go through was those damn DBZ games. Every sub-mechanic was designed to destroy your controller. 360s (that you had to 'race' against another player), mashing, stick tilting, constant trigger pulls, everything.

I guess it's better than Mario Party that would destroy your palms.

At the very least Nintendo controllers have a decent lifespan.

I've had every Nintendo console and only two controllers have broken. One was a Snes pad that my sisters friend mutilated by pulling out the start button and the other was a GC controller that just seem to jam. The stick is always going up-right.

Other than that, the pads are nearly indestructible.

We have GCN controllers used mostly for Smash, like three of them. From two gaming generations ago. As a point of comparison, I must have went through six 360 controllers by now.
