Micheal Jackson: This is It - 7/10

OssMan 01-17-2010 02:24 AM

stranger than fiction - a really good movie with Will Ferrel playing a "serious" role

Juan 01-17-2010 02:44 AM

Yeah, Stranger than Fiction is pretty good and i'm not a huge Will Farrel guy

Droford 01-17-2010 04:59 AM

Stranger than Fiction with any other actor in it would probably be in my top 5 favorite movies ever but he just killed it for me even though its still good.

Ermaximus 01-17-2010 02:37 PM

The Final Destination. Why did I even rent that shit?

Star Trek- 9/10

Wow that was a lot of fun.

D Mac 01-18-2010 12:35 AM

The Marine 2: 6/10
Ted did a decent job. I like the fight scene where he kicks the guys head through the wood.

Triple A 01-18-2010 12:40 AM

The White Ribbon: 3/10

Big Fan: 8/10

Juan 01-18-2010 01:05 AM

Damn, I was about to watch White Ribbon because it just won a Golden Globe for best foreign film.

Triple A 01-18-2010 02:21 AM

I was in a terrible mood while watching it but I don't think I would have liked it anyway. Hate calling things "pretentious" but damn.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - 8.5/10

I need to watch this when I am high.

I'm glad you're willing to look the other way while a band whose existence contradictory to the entire movie is used in the soundtrack of Star Trek (2009). I'm pleased for you.

thedamndest 01-18-2010 01:07 PM

Adventureland - 5/10

No reason for this to have been set in 1987. Hated the main girl. I probably would have turned this off if Martin Starr weren't in the film.

Jon Kano 01-19-2010 03:43 PM

Fantastic Mr. Fox - 8/10

Really liked this film, esp loved the beach boys songs being included.

PorkSoda 01-20-2010 09:30 PM

Blade - 2/10.

Kind of being generous with the 2 rating. .5 for the action scenes, .5 for the martial arts, .5 for the cast, especially Wesley Snipes, and .5 for the line "Mothafuckas always trying to skate uphill." Other than that, typical comic book movie for me....and this one also sucked.

CSL 01-20-2010 09:52 PM

So Pluto Nash is better than Blade?

CSL 01-20-2010 09:53 PM

Must...stop...abusing...PorkSoda

PorkSoda 01-21-2010 01:32 AM

Not exactly. In some ways I enjoyed Pluto Nash, and in a couple ways, I enjoyed Blade. Besides the cool looking gore at times, Blade just bored the crap out of me. Pluto Nash kind of did the same thing, although there was no gore in that movie.

You want a 5 paragraph in-depth review of both movies or something?

Sixx 01-21-2010 01:43 AM

Big Fan 7/10

Pretty good, but I was pissed off he let that Booker T motherfucker get away with it.

Oh, and this actor. Second role I see him in, and the second in which he's a chronic masturbator living with his mom and working in a booth.

Law Abiding Citizen 9/10

Badass.

Ermaximus 01-21-2010 11:19 AM

Smoking Aces 2 7.5/10 Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, but clearly not as good as the first either.

You use some kind of device to rate movies?

The Franchise 01-22-2010 01:51 AM

Book of Eli - 8/10

The Franchise 01-23-2010 01:13 PM

The Pest lol - 6/10

thedamndest 01-23-2010 01:17 PM

Sunshine - 8/10

SPOILER: show
I loved the look and feel of the movie. The only thing I didn't really like is how it kind of turned into a slasher at the end (although I liked how it was done).

Droford 01-23-2010 09:47 PM

Funny People - 5/10 I really didnt have a problem with it being almost 2 1/2 hours (extended) but I kinda felt like it could have been a lot better than it was. It felt like there was a good idea for a movie and it got squandered or soemthing.

PorkSoda 01-23-2010 10:50 PM

Daybreakers - 4/10.

Way better than Blade. When vampires die, apparently they explode or turn into ash. Blade overdid it, Daybreakers did not. Daybreakers was great though.

Kalyx triaD 01-23-2010 11:06 PM

Blade, the movie based on a comic book, overdid something? Lord forbid this fallacy.

PorkSoda 01-23-2010 11:10 PM

No, the Blade based on the childrens picture book overdid something. The comic book movie was just fine.

No, I'm joking. Yeah, it overdid the vampire deaths. It was unoriginal. Cool to look at the first time, but we don't need to see it 10 times. Rewatch it.

Kalyx triaD 01-23-2010 11:13 PM

I remember Blade's vampire kills. Ash in part 1, flames in 2 and 3. Didn't seem like a big deal as the movie tries to invoke a certain style. Doesn't give or take from my view, but 'why not?'. I think vampire movies that have them die normally are under-executing.

But whatever, they sparkle now.

thedamndest 01-24-2010 04:05 PM

Watchmen - 7/10

The Franchise 01-24-2010 04:20 PM

The Cave - 6/10

El Fangel 01-24-2010 10:29 PM

Hamlet 2 - 7/10 - Nothing special but worth the first watch anyways.

Juan 01-24-2010 11:22 PM

Away We Go - 6.5/10

Juan 01-25-2010 01:39 AM

The Fast and the Furious 4 - 5.5/10

The first 2 are a guilty pleasure of mine, so this was not so bad
