Cactus Sid 06-08-2004 06:39 PM

btw, why did the face burn the heel?

Cactus Sid 06-08-2004 06:39 PM

Besides the obvious "because he's evil"

The One 06-08-2004 06:40 PM

I havn't played any Sim games in about a year...but when I left off in my EWR I had ECW (I had to edit it in there ;)) up to the Golbal level....had well over $100,000,000...and Raven was over 100. (Note: I did not use a single "big name guy" like Rock, Austin, Goldberg, Hogan, Savage, Hunter, Angle or anything...I just built the entire company around Jerry Lynn/RVD's 2 year fued and Taz and Raven continually battle for the World Title)

In the process of turning Taker into some evil dude, but I wasn't sure if the heel turn would happen before or after the burning. I now know it wouldn't, so I gotta wait till next week to turn him

PS SPOILERS!

Trading HBK to Smackdown, along with Steiner full time.

Serious backstage politics in the WWE

William Regal was named as head booker, and has booked himself to win the IC title AND the World Heavyweight title.

Disturbed316 06-09-2004 08:20 PM

I smell a 'Kevin Nash' :o

Cactus Sid 06-09-2004 08:46 PM

He just got injured BWHAHAHAHAHAHA

Jericho won the IC belt

Disturbed316 06-09-2004 09:01 PM

LOL

Cactus Sid 06-09-2004 09:20 PM

He just jobbed it to Christian :(

Cactus Sid 06-09-2004 09:25 PM

I'm desperate to sign JBL so I can do a Hitler gimmick

Maybe add a few other hosses, or even better, guys like Shannon Moore (weak cruisers) to form the Nazi party.

Cactus Sid 06-09-2004 09:25 PM

Everyone knows the gimmick has money written all over it

Cactus Sid 06-09-2004 09:56 PM

FU</>CK OFF

I didn't realise if you don't run a show for 3 months, you get closed down

BOLLOCKS

The Mackem 06-10-2004 09:27 AM

You haven't ran a show in three months?

Disturbed316 06-10-2004 11:32 AM

The idea was I had a huge show on Boxing Day, to reannounce WCW.

Instead I have to have The People's Wrestling Federation holding a card on Boxing Day.

Cactus Sid 06-10-2004 07:18 PM

CHRISTIAN JUST WON THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

Cactus Sid 06-10-2004 07:43 PM

Benoit just won it back

c4g2 06-11-2004 08:58 AM

I took over WCW in June 2004 with a 'small' rating and 25% public image and now I'm in May 2005, WCW is cult with a 45% rating... ;) Miracles within a year!

Cactus Sid 06-11-2004 12:31 PM

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

TPWF STEAL RIC FLAIR FROM THE WWE

Disturbed316 06-11-2004 01:06 PM

nice steal

Cactus Sid 06-11-2004 01:11 PM

went for Angle, even offered a 100,000 a month contract and a 500,000 signing on fee

BUT HE REJECTED

Disturbed316 06-11-2004 01:27 PM

boo

Is this the game that Mackem was going to do?

tucsonspeed6 06-11-2004 07:55 PM

How does one go about going from cult status to National? Is it an issue of your ratings, or the number of wrestlers you have?

c4g2 06-12-2004 05:48 AM

^ Public image. When your public image hits 100%, you automatically rise one level.

c4g2 06-15-2004 03:00 AM

WOOOOOO I got WCW from small and 25% rating (Last out of 19 promotions) to golbal and 58% rating (2nd out of 13) within 2006! :D

c4g2 06-16-2004 07:22 AM

*bump*

Triple post. :D

My WCW is global at 46% public image now. WCW is in war with both NWATNA (14% public image) and WWE (96% public image :( ). I just signed Rob Van Dam, Chris Benoit, Charlie Haas and Edge from WWE. Nearly got AJ Styles from NWATNA and Eddie G from WWE but they said it wouldn't be a good career move :nono:.

Cactus Sid 06-16-2004 06:41 PM

Not happy.

Total Extreme Warfare is now.....Total Extreme WRESTLING

Disturbed316 06-16-2004 06:43 PM

I suppose it makes sence though :-\

Cactus Sid 06-16-2004 06:46 PM

If you thought he sold out before, he has truly given in to the establishment :nono: :'(

Disturbed316 06-16-2004 06:49 PM

I have never thought that :|

Cactus Sid 06-16-2004 06:51 PM

Neither have I.

But dropping the Warfare :(

Cactus Sid 06-16-2004 06:52 PM

It was one of those general things, where everyone was like "YOU BASTARD, WE WONT PAY FOR YOUR SH</>ITTY LITTLE GAME"

and then did.

Disturbed316 06-16-2004 06:53 PM

lol yeah, all over the boards, including me, were like 'fuck that, i'm not paying for a text based game'

Now look at us :'(

If anyone has sold out, its us, the public :'(

Cactus Sid 06-16-2004 06:54 PM

I was always open minded :shifty:

Disturbed316 06-16-2004 06:55 PM

:shifty: yes...

Cactus Sid 06-16-2004 06:58 PM

Speaking of TE WRESTLING, I haven't played it in ages, especially when my WCW game went up sh</>it creek.

May open up the old TNA game after General Studies tomorrow. I had something hot going on. I needed more Lesbian angles. I'm tempted to come up with "TNA PORN TV"

Kinda similar to that Bang Babes on the wrestling channel. That is hilariously bad.

Disturbed316 06-16-2004 07:13 PM

Yeah, I haven't played it for about a week now, although I have had exams etc :-\

Cactus Sid 06-17-2004 07:02 AM

Haven't got a "proper" exam until next Friday now.

Seeing as how General Studies doesn't count.

Cactus Sid 06-17-2004 07:02 AM

Aside from taking up my time

The Mackem 06-21-2004 06:22 AM

Booked a Raw show last night.

c4g2 06-21-2004 06:32 AM

How did it go Mackem?

The Mackem 06-22-2004 07:33 AM

It was alright but I'm waiting for a few guys who I've offered contracts to to sign. I'm not going to debut Jose Maximo without Joel Maximo

AJ Styles, Raw or Smackdown? Can't remeber if I've debuted him yet :$

Danny Electric 06-22-2004 08:33 AM

Did my best show the other night.
85% for Bad Blood!

The Mackem 06-24-2004 05:42 AM

Started a game with TNA last night becaus WWE is just too much. Sorted a load of crap out. By the time I done that, I only got to do one Impact show. Gave Jarrett the belt, poor Ron Killings :'(

c4g2 06-24-2004 07:46 AM

What are you all talking about TEW?

Has the name changed from Total Extreme Warfare to Total Extreme Wrestling?

The Mackem 06-24-2004 07:56 AM

I'm talking about TEW, don't know about the name change.

The Mackem 06-26-2004 10:51 AM

TNA game is coming along OK. Hogan is going to debut next week. I'm never going to use hype videos ever again, they always get crap ratings.

loopydate 06-28-2004 08:26 PM

With my TNA booking career hanging by a thread (I'm losing money like someone who took JBL's stock advice), I decided to take drastic action.

I signed Steve Corino, Sean O'Haire, and Devon Storm and put them together in a stable called The Invasion. The trio immediately attacked AJ Styles, and I'm building for a Styles/Corino match at the next PPV (I'm doing monthly PPVs now with a weekly Impact). Depending on how the feud turns out, Corino may take the gold.

The Invasion also picked up the Lords of the Ring as new members, leading to a renewed LOTR/AMW feud.

I also signed Jimmy Yang, Jinsei Shinzaki, Joey Matthews, and Harry Smith to fill out the undercard a bit.

Lo and behold, things are looking up again. Of course, Elix Skipper is still out five more months with a torn calf and Jeff Jarrett is seven months away from his broken leg healing (he broke it the DAY before his big feud ender with Styles). Once those two are back and Raven and Shane Douglas get themselves through rehab, I might be able to claw my way out of the hole I dug myself with early stupid decisions.

The Mackem 06-29-2004 10:04 AM

Ric Flair is going to sign when his WWE contract expires WOOOO!

Getting good ratings for TNA, ditched Explosion so I've only got Impact and the weekly PPV running.

I've got 3 Main event feuds running at the moment which all sort of interlink in matches *guy 1 messes in guy 2's match with guy 3 etc*

Hogan (yes I signed Hogan) and Jarrett's feud is at like 95% although Hogan can't really wrestle so I'm using him in other ways. I'm glad I only signed to a 3 month contract, I might actually let him go when it expires.

AJ Styles is feuding with Juventud Guerrera (heel) which is in the mid 80's or something.

Dustin Rhodes (heel) and Killings are feuding in the mid 80's as well.

Overall I'm doing ok. I've still got Team Canada, Japan, Mexico and UK going but I'm gnot using them much at the moment. Dynamite Kid is the leader of Team UK, Bret Hart is the leader of Team Canada (they're both managers though). Problem is none of the other workers are over much to start some kind of a program with the teams.

I've got lower level storylines going as well to get people into the midcard.

Cactus Sid 06-29-2004 10:07 AM

1 More exam, and I'm back baby...

The Mackem 06-29-2004 10:20 AM

Oh yeah and I'm trying to get Tracy Brooks and Kristi Myst over by them having a feud, which is mainly pre-show segments involving the two of them.

Cactus reminded me there what with his attempts to get Lolipop over.

Cactus Sid 06-29-2004 11:30 AM

It worked

The Mackem 06-29-2004 12:20 PM

Sid did you ever find a use for Watts and Douglas because I'm not seeing much point in them. Might release them.

Cactus Sid 06-29-2004 12:29 PM

I had Watts around in case of Battle Royals or if I need someone relatively over to make up the numbers to do a job.

Douglas was getting really over when I had him, but I kept jobbing him out (he had 2 hot matches against Raven and Sandman) and then he quit.

I'd work with Douglas, he can be good.

The Mackem 06-29-2004 12:42 PM

I've got 7 people in the main event

Low Ki wants there too plus a few others joining I can imagine wanting to be a mian event. Plus if I make Sting active, he'll want to be there. Might keep Bret Hart inactive as a manager because of his injuries.

loopydate 06-29-2004 03:53 PM

The week after my Invasion started, WWE and FLI signed Jerry Lynn, Kid Kash, Raven, Nick Dinsmore, Devon Storm, Frankie Kazarian, and CM Punk to written contracts.

Suddenly, my top draw (Raven), two key members of the Invasion (Dinsmore and Storm), three cornerstones of the X Division (Lynn, Kash, and Kazarian), and one-half of the Tag Team Champions (Punk) are all gone.

How did I make up for it? I signed Rene Dupree, Sylvain Grenier, Perry Saturn, and Test for the Invasion and got Billy Kidman and Nova for the X Division.

So, :p to the McMahons and Rougeaus.

Cactus Sid 06-29-2004 06:14 PM

I think they'll be laughing in your direction :(

I doubt they even know I exist at this point, I've done such an effective job of running the company into the ground.

The Mackem 06-30-2004 09:23 AM

I sign my best workers to written contracts as soon as somebody else offers them. The only people I've lost that I didn't want to, left to be Head Bookers (Daniels, Raven, Russo, Konnan, D-Lo).

The Mackem 06-30-2004 09:26 AM

Signed a few (and offered a few more) women workers last night, going to put them into training so that someday along the line I can have a good womens division.

Cactus Sid 06-30-2004 10:34 AM

My god, when they leave as bookers that is quite possibly the most fu</>cking annoying thing ever.

The Mackem 06-30-2004 10:43 AM

It was the first week as well. I wanted to use Raven and Daniels as well

Disturbed316 06-30-2004 10:50 AM

I hate McMahon, I want to sign Raven but the bastard wont let me. WHATSUPWITHTHAT!?

I cant remember them having any problems IRL?

The Mackem 06-30-2004 10:56 AM

I don't know but I remember having a similar problem in my WWE game.

I want to get rid of one of those Harris brothers I've got in TNA but he's like best mates with Jarrett  I'll just have to wait until his contract expires or somebody offers him a written contract.

Cactus Sid 06-30-2004 11:08 AM

If they'd been stolen on my game, the whole course of my history as owner of NWA:TNA would be different, that is seeing as how they have been (besides Jarrett at the start) my only NWA Heavyweight Champions.

MLW signed AJ Styles to a written contract :'(

Now, in the last month, I've had one-half of the World Tag Team Champions and my World Champion signed away from me.

Oh, well. Guess it's tournament time again.

Ferocious 06-30-2004 02:26 PM

I have started a new WWE game on EWR 4.0 with no changes to the original set up aside from having an 'Undisputed Champion'. I had to find a way of having one guy at a time who can float between shows. Amazing hack called Klosure was used to emulate this.

Current Champs after 15 weeks of play are.

Smackdown:

WWE: Undertaker
Cruiserweight: Matt Hardy
US: Eddie Guerrero
Tag: Rey and Kidman (Filthy Animals baby)

Raw:

World Title: Jericho
IC: Edge
Tag: WGTT
Womens Title: was scrapped and all women fired
European Title: Resurected and given to Rhyno after a 10 man battle royal.

Undisputed Champeen: Kurt Angle

Yes all females fired, they have no place in wrestling although I do wish I'd kept a couple of them as valets.

Evil Vito 07-01-2004 08:15 PM

<font color=goldenrod>I haven't been able to play my EWR game in quite a while now, but now I've got some free time.

For the hell of it, here's a recap of the major storylines of a show I just booked, the October 9th Smackdown:

-Chris Sylvain sucked up to Kurt Angle, in exchange he got a European Title match against Simon Diamond

-John Cena cheated to defeat Sean Casey. Later on in the show he was seen attacking Casey again backstage to the point where he needed paramedics, not worried at all because Ken Shamrock had the night off

-Mordecai squashed both Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio in one match, looking more dominant than ever

-Sylvain cheated at every chance he got against Diamond, to the point where Ian Moore (of all people) had seen enough. He thwarted Sylvain's attempts to cheat and it enabled Diamond to get the victory and retain his title.

-To end the show, Angle came out and reprimanded Moore for his actions, comparing it to running out on the field during a baseball game. As a result, Angle had Moore arrested.</font>

Cactus Sid 07-02-2004 07:39 AM

I'm tempted to play this now everything is over and done with.

I'm also tempted to make a TV show dedicated to softcore pornography.

Evil Vito 07-03-2004 01:40 AM

<font color=goldenrod>I'm still a week and a half away from it, but here's my proposed card for Raw-exclusive PPV, No Mercy 2025:

<u><b>WWE Title: Goldberg vs. Jason Collins</u></b>
After retaining his title at Unforgiven, there has been one man who felt the need to get under Goldberg's skin: Jason Collins. They have been at each others' throats since, and that's how this match was set up.

<b><u>WWE Intercontinental Title - Ladder Match: Brian York vs. AJ Styles</u></b>
These two have been feuding over the strap since the beginning of September, and it all comes down to this in a ladder match.

<b><u>WWE Women's Title: Vixxen vs. Nicole Durgan</u></b>
Basically another feud that's been going on since early September.

<b><u>WWE World Tag Team Titles: 24/7 vs. The Uprising</u></b>
24/7 hand-picked The Uprising as their opponents for this match, and they've feuded ever since.

<b><u>Eugene vs. Jason Cross</u></b>
Cross is practically the only guy that Eugene hasn't lost to yet since becoming Eugene. Eugene's manager M-A-G seems to get more and more upset each week, and we'll have to see if he can stomach another loss unless Eugene can cause a miracle and win.

<b><u>Sean Criss vs. Matt Hardy</u></b>
Basically a make-shift feud started sometime after Unforgiven.

<b><u>Oracle vs. Jodie Marie</u></b>
Same as above.</font>

c4g2 07-03-2004 02:39 AM

WCW Heavyweight champ - Kane
WCW Lightweight champ - Ultimo Dragon

Then I find something else to do.

Cactus Sid 07-04-2004 07:17 PM

Ok....I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do some cards, and write up a PPV.

Cactus Sid 07-05-2004 12:27 PM

He wasn't on mine.

Don't forget, I started this ages ago, with TEW Zone 3.

Cactus Sid 07-05-2004 04:09 PM

Slight edit to the card, when I realised Credible was in the tag title match. Sapp will now face Abyss.

Cactus Sid 07-05-2004 04:30 PM

Bret Hart came out and stated that everyone was to stop, and that if anyone interfered in the next match they would be suspended, and at the PPV, the Tag Titles match, and War Games, would become Handicap matches - 77.9%
