Yah, as someone who purchased the package, I'm upset.

El Fangel 08-16-2014 06:54 PM

I am thankful no Jays games seem to be on today. Everytime I turn it on I see the last three or four pitches.

El Fangel 08-16-2014 08:57 PM

I start watching as Jays have the Sox tie it at 3 runs a piece. Fuck sake.

Bad News Gertner 08-16-2014 10:00 PM

Can't wait till Daniel Norris gets called up. He's faced 38 batters since getting called up to Triple A and struck out 23 of them. 1 walk.

road doggy dogg 08-16-2014 10:07 PM

Somehow got a good performance against King Felix tonight even though our bats have been bad.com

David Price is the best

Fuck yes. Also, I do not know why RDD but that sig constantly makes me think you are Damn Inator.

El Fangel 08-18-2014 09:41 PM

Thought Jays and Brewers played tonight. Spent like ten mins trying to find it. Watching Angels vs BoSox ATM. BoSox be my second team so I'm half interested.

road doggy dogg 08-18-2014 10:04 PM

how is your "second team" a team in your team's division

so dumB

El Fangel 08-18-2014 11:34 PM

Not so much second team I guess. More like the Bruins in hockey. While not truthfully a fan I'll root for them unless they play Montreal.

And since the Expos had to fuckoff to Washington I'm stuck with Toronto to cheer for.

road doggy dogg 08-18-2014 11:56 PM

Yankees are putting in metal detectors to get into the stadium, "standardized security" for all parks

Evil Vito 08-19-2014 02:21 PM

With 2 outs in the 9th inning and his team losing, a batter gets the 3,000th hit of his career but is thrown out trying to stretch it into a double, ending the game. The closer gets his 400th save and the starting pitcher gets his 300th win in the process.

Comerica tried doing that, Opening Day game was a fucking nightmare getting in. Think they gave up on the idea after like two games because it was fucking awful.

Saves and wins are honestly the two WORST and most over-rated stats in all of professional sports. Ball goes to hitter.

Give it to the pitcher. The 400th save ended up being a fluke because of the batter while the 3,000 hit ended up being meaningless because the batter got greedy.

Surprise suprise, Fangels second arebthe defending champs.

Did you buy your Drew Doughty and Tony Parker jersey yet?

El Fangel 08-20-2014 02:15 AM

Nationals won recently? Dude I think the BoSox won in 04 and broke a curse. Otherwise I can't tell you a single World Series winner lol.

Also the Jays winning one would be nice to watch.

El Fangel 08-20-2014 02:16 AM

Tony Parker. Let's see without looking if I can remenee his position. Wanna say 3rd base for some reason.

Giants win their protest against the Cubs with the groundscrew/tarp snafu.

They'll pick things up Thursday afternoon, bottom of the 5th, Cubs up 2-0.

The historical fact here is that this is the first successful protest since '86.

The funny thing is there's supposed to be terrible storms tomorrow so good luck getting in half a game. It actually still hurts the giants if they have to hang around since they're supposed to be in DC on friday. I'm kind of pissed myself cause I don't know if I'm going to get much touristy stuff done or not if the storms are bad.

Os won tonight the game I went to 4-3 for the sweep. 15,000 people announced and I dare say at least half were O's fans. Wasn't really impressed with the ballpark. Shitty location really and it has like no "character" to it. Will say that everyone in Chicago has been awesome so far, much better than my trips to NY and Boston.

Garrett Richards suffered a pretty serious knee injury while covering 1B yesterday. Hate the Angels but that sucks, he was having a fantastic year.

When does World Series happen? Feel it's November.

ClockShot 08-21-2014 09:25 PM

Yankees avoid the sweep against the George Springer-less Houston Astros.

Heh. McCarthy went the distance. 4-hit shutout. Not bad.

Damian Rey 08-22-2014 12:05 AM

That's been a decent pickup for them. A steal really.

Droford 08-22-2014 01:27 AM

Yankees are still 9 games back.

going to Wrigley Field today, can't wait.

road doggy dogg 08-22-2014 01:40 AM

David Price throws a complete game 1-hit 9K no walks and 1 unearned run game... and loses.

First time a pitcher's thrown such a game since 1914.

This Tigers team is maddening lately.

Droford 08-22-2014 01:45 AM

Back in October of2012 the O's beat James Shields / Rays 1-0 on just 2 hits, one of which was a Davis homer despite Shields striking out 15 in a CG. Not quite what Price did but anyway.

road doggy dogg 08-22-2014 01:48 AM

Yeah this was a super-specific set of qualifiers. Regardless, these types of games are pretty rare.

David Price is the best though. Hope we still make the playoffs at this rate because between him and Porcello and Scherzer right now it'll be a tough team to beat.

Evil Vito 08-22-2014 07:19 AM

The A's seem to have completely fallen apart. Even though I want to see them do well, I have to admit it'd be kinda hilarious if even after all of those trades they have to go into a one-game playoff with Detroit and Detroit knocks them out for the third year in a row.

RoXer 08-22-2014 09:36 AM

There's still plenty of division games including games against Houston left

Evil Vito 08-22-2014 09:42 AM

Yeah it should be a tight race to the end. Just kinda shocking how bad they've been since the break. Big series this weekend.

Evil Vito 08-22-2014 09:44 AM

Weird thing I just realized about the A's - their team leader in batting average is technically now Cespedes at .256, Derek Norris doesn't have enough ABs to qualify for it yet.

Donaldson would overtake him with a couple of multi-hit games though.

road doggy dogg 08-22-2014 09:49 AM

Well Richards going down really hinders LAA going forward. Obviously it will only affect 1/5 of their games going forward but the trickle-down effect of their rotation may see Oakland have a resurgence. Who knows.

In other news though, how about friggin' Washington? 10 in a row, 5 walk-offs in their past 6. Playing some pretty good ball right meow.

screech 08-22-2014 10:37 AM

I hate that Washington is playing well because haha they're our rival, but I love Werth and Strasburg so I "secretly" want them to do well.

ClockShot 08-22-2014 02:37 PM

Red Sox win the Rusney Castillo sweepstakes. 7-years, $72.5 mil.

Wat

Nationals vs Pirates and Nationals vs Diamondbacks... Dbacks one was where the Nationals won on a walk off error, Pirates game was like... August 15th

screech 08-25-2014 10:02 AM

Went to 3 Phillies games this year: vs Brewers (loss), Reds (win), and Diamondbacks (win). Wish I had cash money to go to more.

road doggy dogg 08-25-2014 11:07 AM

How expensive are Phillies games?

Tigers games are nice, whenever we go it's always a cheap affair. Tunnel Bus from dt Windsor to right outside the park is $8 roundtrip, we typically get SRO tickets for ~$15, and drink at a bar a couple blocks from the park. All said and done the afternoon costs about $40 with a decent amount of drinking.

DaveBrawl 08-25-2014 11:10 AM

Parking near Nats stadium is like $20 at best. :'(

Metro is probably cheaper, but such a mess I hate to take it. Last time I tried, one of the other trains derailed and held everything up. Only been to one Nats game this year, supposed to go to one more at the end of next month to see Miami via free tix from work. Was supposed to go to the Pittsburgh games a week and a half ago but gave the seats up because I rescheduled my vacation for that week.

screech 08-25-2014 11:14 AM

Standing room only ~$20, and I have a pass for the transit. Food is ridiculous, but I usually eat big before I go. Issue is I have to buy for the ball and chain and she can't really do standing room.

I guess I could go without her....

screech 08-25-2014 11:16 AM

Good seats run about $45 each

road doggy dogg 08-25-2014 11:31 AM

I'm lucky, my usual group of ballgame friends all love standing room. I prefer it, we're usually always walking around for beers and shit anyway. And in Comerica, SRO spot has perfect view in RF

road doggy dogg 08-25-2014 11:32 AM

Defs would like to do the whole "behind home plate" seats sometime though, feel like that is a necessity for ballgame viewage

Droford 08-25-2014 04:06 PM

Some random O's fan gave me two tix 5 rows off the field at Wrigley on Friday, they were $100 a pop.

DaveWadding 08-25-2014 05:32 PM

Had really good seats at all 3 Dbacks games I went to this year via luck.

1st game we were upstairs and one of the customer service ladies asked if we would mind moving downstairs for free to accommodate someone else, last 2 games I went to we were right behind the plate because we won 2 free pairs of tickets at Fan Fest.

So pretty sweet.

El Fangel 08-25-2014 08:29 PM

I kinda wanna go watch the Blue Jays lose live now. Seems like a fun time.

El Fangel 08-25-2014 08:37 PM

Figure if I'm going watch them lose I might as well be drunk and able to heckle them for being down 3-0 to a team that's almost twenty games under .500.

Fucking infuriating that I started watching them as they are screwing their post season chances ala Toronto Professional Sports.

Is this what its like for Leafs fans every year? Ive only begun watching the Jays and I'm beyond frustrated watching. Can't imagine having watched all season.

starting to set in the o's are going to win the AL East (as predicted by yours truly back in March *pats self on back*)

O's are 7 up on the Yankees with 32 games to go. O's can play .500 ball and finish 91-71. The Yankees would have to go 23-9 to tie the O's if they play .500, and for fun and giggles the Blue Jays would have to go 25-5.

Edit O's are actually on pace to win 94 games though. .500 would be a bit of a letdown

El Fangel 08-27-2014 03:38 AM

Fuck the Jays. Seriously. I do not know if I cannot rooting for them next season. I think I went with them solely due to them being all over Sportsnet. I like many players but I feel like I really should have sought out a team that I liked instead of going with what's plastered on TV.

I always like Lincecum. He still play for the Giants? What about McGwire? I seriously doubt he is still playing and lastly is Randy Johnson still pitching. Guy killed a bird accidentally with a pitch. Might be my favorite player ever because of that.

El Fangel 08-27-2014 03:39 AM
