Apparently Netflix recently bought the rights to a Hogan-Gawker documentary that is in the works.

I have no memories of this

GD 01-24-2017 11:58 PM

I remember it. Also remember Kurt Angle versus Mark Henry for the WHC closing the show with the Undertaker returning to end the show.

Big Vic 01-25-2017 10:19 AM

Remember when Kane was winning matches over Bray and Harper for no reason?

Yup. That's the last time they didn't have the Rumble itself close out the program, which is always ill-advised.

Rock vs Punk closed it out few years ago. I remember being let down. Even with Rock winning the title, having to sit through a regular match after the rumble feels "bleh".

I honestly forgot all about that despite actually going to Mania that year. Shows how bad of an idea it is to not close with the Rumble itself.

A.J.K 01-25-2017 04:21 PM

Okay, i was looking at the progress that has been made in WWE as far as the Women's Division. So WWE has had them in Hell in a Cell and Main events of shows, if WWE want to keep closing the gap of WWE Women and Male Wrestlers, have the Women compete against the men.I know it seems a bit crazy yet, but Wouldn't mind seeing Women compete in the Royal Rumble and win it and go for the WWE title.

Big Vic 01-25-2017 04:25 PM

Alexa vs John Cena in an INFERNO match.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-25-2017 04:25 PM

Not happening anytime soon.. Pretty sure Triple H went on record saying he doesn't feel the fan base is ready for women to start competing with the men. I'd have to say I agree with him. It'd be a big jump.

At least have kind of a one off event, once a year where the women do compete with the men.

Charlotte vs Seth Rollins could be a good match if they were to chance a one-time deal. Just to see how the crowd reacts to the potential idea and if it is well received , keep slowly building from there.

So after seeing SmackDown Live this week can someone please remind me again how Cena is supposed to be a face? Like seriously, everything about his promo and mannerisms screams heel. If literally anyone else said the stuff he did they'd get booed out the building. WWE really needs to sort their shit out. Also, what was up with him busting out the rapper persona? Just felt... weird.

Emperor Smeat 01-25-2017 06:58 PM

http://www.pwponderings.com/wp-conte...16/01/yano.png

Real reason is just the WWE being too afraid to actually turn Cena heel because they are that scared of his merch sales going down. One of the really bad side effects of revolving the company solely around one guy for over a decade while ignoring building up others to be his equal or near equal in status.

Him being the arrogant gatekeeper and constant shrug of his opponents being worthless would work way better if he was a heel. Especially when his opponents keep bringing up valid points against Cena and his antics.

Cool King 01-25-2017 07:07 PM

Who did he say that to before, CK?

#1-norm-fan 01-26-2017 12:03 PM

Looks like Christian on the night he got drafted to Raw for the first time.

Cool King 01-26-2017 02:15 PM

It sure was.

He said the line during his "diss rap" (or whatever the kids call it these days) on Christian.

I was so happy to see Christian get main event status... Then I stopped watching WWE for a while and watched TNA like a good little peep.

Vastardikai 01-26-2017 02:43 PM

I am sure I mentioned this before, but the problem with burying a guy's or girl's accomplishments is this: if you beat a nobody, who cares? You beat a nobody. If you lose to a nobody, why should I care about you? You lost to a nobody.

I mean, is it that difficult to understand that you have to make people care about the outcome?

*looks at the lack of attendance and ratings.*

I guess so.

Evil Vito 01-26-2017 02:44 PM

With a PPV in a couple days, Poit's last day on here was over a month ago. Pretty much the last thing he did was post the final 2016 Tipsters standings (and he won) but he hasn't logged on since.

I dunno, they stopped doing the podcasts a while ago and most of the TLP had left.....think Poit might've been waiting to wrap up the Tipsters year before leaving himself.

Unless someone else takes up the mantle I'm guessing there will be no Tipsters this year.

I think its funny WWE..WWF in 1997 could sell out the Alamo dome but 2017 WWE can't.

Damn.....

Was just "assuming" that Poit would swoop in and show up........ feel like he rarely posts anymore, but seemed to always reappear to do Tipsters......

But yeah, he could be "not bothering" with it this year.....

They only sold it out in 1997 because they gave away free tickets to anyone in San Antonio who ate at taco bell as a promotion. "Buy a Burrito, Get a FREE ticket" type of thing.

They supposedly actually sold 48000 tickets though. Close to 40000 this year. Depending on how they go about it id imagine it'll still look impressive and better than when TNA booked the one corner for Lockdown in 2013 but I bet this makes them rethink non Mania Big 4 shows in bigger venues
