But hey, they're getting paid for all this, so it still sounds like a pretty sweet job to me. They're all probably laughing their way to the bank, or at least chuckling anyway.

...none of those people have good hair really

Dolph Ziggler - looks fried and greasy

Roman Reigns - looks greasy

Xavier Woods - looks really dry

Seth Rollins - looks greasy

Luke Harper - frizzled

The Miz - looks too gelled

Justin Gabriel - donut really remember what his hair looks like

Jack Swagger - does not really have much hair

Sheamus - ginger devil

I still think that Harper & Rowan's theme would be much better without the kid at the start. Though, I do get an "Attitude Era" feel from their theme.

As for Ambrose's theme, it sounds like something you would hear during the early days of the name change to WWE and The Brand Extension, or a BGM from one of the later game in the SmackDown series.

Droford 07-31-2014 01:00 PM

very interesting list here.

not sure I'd consider Ed "The Bull" Gantner to be all that good of a worker.

I'm sure myself and most folks here have heard of these names. I'm guessing this is more targeted towards younger folks.

http://www.wwe.com/classics/classic-...nown-wrestlers

Used to be enough to know that Del Wilkes was the guy under The Patriot mask to best your buddies at wrestling trivia. Nowadays, with internet back alleys playing home to all manners of ring obscura, you look like a fool if you can’t name drop self-styled Nigerian saxophonist/demigod “The Great” Power Uti or acromegalic 1940s sideshow attraction The French Angel.

And that’s a good thing. Professional wrestling truly is one of the world’s richest subcultures — a distinction which has populated it with one-of-a-kind personalities, while, at the same time, making it difficult for all of those one-of-a-kind personalities to stand out. We wanted to give the limelight to a few talented performers who don’t always get the credit they deserve, so we went to locker room experts like Jerry “The King” Lawler and William Regal to learn about the ring’s unsung heroes.Give it a read. If you dig it, we'll do it again sometime.

1.)Ray Stevens
2.)Mark "Rollerball" Rocco - another outstanding british talent that in my mind is one of the very best british wrestlers.
3.)Jackie Fargo - Jackie was truly the King of Memphis before Lawler. He was such a great and funny guy.
4.)Brad Armstrong - another guy that was phenomenally talented that never got his due in the biz.
5.)Jos LeDuc
6.)Pepper Gomez
7.)Johnny Saint - this guy was probably one of the top three best british wrestlers ever imo.
8.)Austin Idol
9.)Les Thornton - this guy was truly a talented worker who never got his due.
10.)Ed "The Bull" Gantner

Vastardikai 07-31-2014 06:33 PM

Disgusting lack of Sputnik Monroe.

#1-norm-fan 07-31-2014 06:47 PM

Brad Armstrong seems out of place on that list.

Vastardikai 07-31-2014 07:10 PM

Granted, he was a great hand in the ring, but I wouldn't have put him in a spot where Sputnik Monroe should have been.

I mean, Sputnik only integrated sporting events in the South.

Apparently, AJ is pulling an "Avril Lavigne", as she now has a "No Touching" policy, when it comes to taking photos with males.

http://38.media.tumblr.com/0f83e1d38...1yolo1_500.jpg

It's being said that this is all because of a male fan that inappropriately touched her when taking a photo with her recently.

Fignuts 07-31-2014 07:39 PM

God, can't stand Bret anymore. Gave him the benefit of the doubt for years, as if anyone had reason to be bitter, it was him with all the shit that's happened to him and his family over the years.

But at this point, at his age, I feel like he should have moved on and stopped talking shit about literally everybody.

Bad News Gertner 07-31-2014 08:17 PM

Gonna watch it tomorrow night. It's a very interesting year in the company, but it's going to be 2 and a half hours of " so and so held me back, so and so sabotaged me, so and so wasn't as good as me" typical nonsense from Bret.

Lol I love the opening line of "the fans were sick of the big muscle guys". Clearly they were, because business tanked after the "muscle guys" left.

WWE Hall of Famer and former NWA World champion Harley Race was injured in a fall earlier today in St. Louis and will miss the final Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest.
Race slipped and fell on his left hip but still tried to brave the drive from St. Louis to Charlotte for his scheduled appearance to promote a new DVD documentary released by www.highspots.com. After about 35 miles, Race decided the pain was too great and returned home.

Race will be getting examined shortly as there is fear he may have broken his hip. Race's right hip was replaced some time ago.

Wrestlers with the most world heavyweight championships

Ric Flair (22-time champion, retired)
 • 10 NWA championships
 • 8 WCW championships
 • 2 WWE championships
 • 2 WCW International championships
Which of these make Flair a “sixteen-time world champion” is a matter of endless debate. Basically WCW lost count in the early 1990s and WWE just used their number.
Sting (14-time champion)
 • 2 NWA championships
 • 6 WCW championships
 • 2 WCW International championships
 • 4 TNA championships
The WCW International title is not commonly acknowledged as a “real” world title, but I’m including for the sake of completeness.
Triple H (13-time champion, semi-retired)
 • 8 WWE championships
 • 5 World championships
John Cena (12-time champion)
 • 10 WWE championships
 • 2 World championships
Of the guys on this list, I think Cena is the most likely to approach Flair’s record before the end of his career.
Hulk Hogan (12-time champion, retired)
 • 6 WWE championships
 • 6 WCW championships
Edge (11-time champion, retired)
 • 4 WWE championships
 • 7 World championships
Jeff Jarrett (11-time champion)
 • 4 WCW championships
 • 6 NWA championships
 • 1 AAA championship
Kurt Angle (11-time champion)
 • 4 WWE championships
 • 1 WCW championship
 • 1 World championship
 • 5 TNA championships
At times, Angle has claimed a higher count by including his 1995 FILA gold medal, his 1996 Olympic gold medal, and a disputed version of the IWGP title.
Verne Gagne (10-time champion, retired)
 • 10 AWA championships
The Rock (10-time champion, semi-retired)
 • 8 WWE championships
 • 2 WCW championships
Randy Orton (9-time champion)
 • 6 WWE championships
 • 3 World championships

Pointless trivia fact: WCW Accidentally showed Cactus Jack as an entrant into the Georgia Brawl during Clash XVI. Which is notable for 2 reasons.

1. He wasn't in the Brawl.
2. Jack hadn't actually made his formal return yet (he would show up to jump Sting later in the card.

Also, Clash XVI was the best major event to ever take place in Augusta, GA.

Just got home from an indy show in NY that was outside at a baseball stadium. Fun times. The last time I went to a promotion for that show in, like, 2010 the main event wound up being Eugene vs. Justin Credible.

This one was way better. A really good Mike Bennett/Matt Taven opener. Awesome Young Bucks/Hardyz main event. Matt Sydal wrestling in a really fun triple threat match for the title. Brodus Clay wrestling. Booker T managing Brodus Clay for some reason so I got to see the Spinaroonie in person. Oh and Jerry Lawler vs. Kevin Steen in a Piledriver match.

Say what you will about King still wrestling...I don't blame WWE at all for not allowing him to get physically involved on TV anymore, but the man looked like he was having the time of his life. Dude was taking back body drops, throwing dropkicks, and I shamelessly marked the fuck out when he planted Steen with a Piledriver.

Thats a lot of "name" talent for an indy show.

So, it seems Sin Cara is so bad that there is an entire botchamania dedicated to him.
Not going to post it. If you've seen it, lol. If you haven't you'll either be interested and look it up yourself or go back to looking at porn.

Poit 08-03-2014 02:39 AM

Sin Cara Uno or Dos?

screech 08-03-2014 08:57 AM

Why wouldn't you just post it?

"Here's something funny I saw, but you have to look it up for yourself." F you, pal

He thinks our only option is to watch botching Sin Cara or porn. He forgot the 3rd option- Demon Kane!

Was there ever a thread made just for botches on this forum before?

Vastardikai 08-03-2014 04:44 PM

"Sin Cara, Eva Marie, and Death Match tournaments, the Thread"?

There used to be a wrestling YouTube thread, so I guess they went in there.

But that thread got merged with this one so he could have just posted it here when he mentioned it.

screech 08-03-2014 10:35 PM

Or you can post that kind of stuff here if that's why you were asking. I feel like if you/someone made a botch thread it may just get merged here anyway.

ron the dial 08-03-2014 10:36 PM

if a botch thread got merged into here, that would be shoddy moderating.

Emperor Smeat 08-03-2014 10:46 PM

Unless the botch thread was from someone who kept spamming the place, don't remember a botch thread being merged in here or the previous wrestling 100k one.

Used to have several threads merged in the 100k before the Supreme initiative (I think that was its name) took effect. Now those threads get merged as their own dedicated spam/horrible poster thread.
