love the short film idea. great way to test the market. perhaps open doors for some of those characters.
I originally thought Hawkeye would be a great one, but if it's appearing on the Captain America DVD, I would have thought it'd make more sense to be someone from Cap's 'world' (unless Hawkeye has a cameo in this somehow).
Maybe Nick Fury? Dum Dum Dugan? Sub Mariner? |
I think Nick Fury's getting his own full movie.
Netflix just sent me X Men Origins: Wolverine...praying it doesn't suck as bad as I hear it is.
I'd bet money on Hawkeye for the second one. Widow already got some time to shine in IM2, while hawkeye was in action for about a minute in Thor. To anyone who didn't know that character was hawkeye, he was probably an afterthought.

Marvel Studios will release Thor 2 on July 26, 2013, according to Deadline. Like the original, the sequel will star Chris Hemsworth in the title role; unlike the original, Kenneth Branagh won’t direct, although he will reportedly have a producer role.
The movie has performed solidly, with a worldwide gross of around $437 million. |
Marvel Studios has tapped Don Payne, who was one of three credited writers on the first Thor film, to write the screenplay for Thor 2, which is slated for release on July 26th, 2013. Payne, who is a co-executive producer on TV’s The Simpsons, has a number of superhero screenwriting credits. He wrote the comedy My Super Ex-Girlfriend and also contributed a rewrite on the as-yet-to-be-made Lobo based on the DC comic book series (Guy Ritchie was set to direct the Lobo movie, but chose to helm the Sherlock Holmes sequel instead).
Oh a Lobo movie! I'm sure that'll put butts in seats! (In 2032).

It seems Marvel Comics is subtly getting Jubilee and X23 together. I love this.
like... romantically?
Yeah.
Does Jubilee still have no powers?
Still depowered, aside from the typical vampire abilities.

So, she is a vampire now. Way behind on Marvel stuff.

To compete with DC, all Marvel characters are now getting Tron Speed-Lines?
Was that a DC thing?
Well, DC's new redesigns seem to have a lot of speed lines. They just aren't glowing.
I think the glowing lines/symbols thing is just for the crossover event.
Nice.
Reminds me of a basketball.
I'm sure it's just for the cameras/lighting etc... but what with all the black shading inbetween the black lines. Thought Spidey's costume was meant to be red and blue.
However, X-Men: First Class has taught me not to discriminate a film for it's Twilight-Generation Reboot Crappy Photos until I've actually seen it. |
Oh shit, I kinda love how you can actually see his eyes. Hope that will be how it is in the actual flick.
I doubt you'll be able to see his eyes on camera.
Kinda looks like a lady's the one in that suit - the shoulders are unusually boney for a guy.
Some guys are thin.
Spidey oughta be slim and wiry. Built for speed.
i dunno hes been looking jacked in comics lately
That's art man. It's not a science.
Spidey's been known to be more lean than the common superhero look. |

Fuck Jubilee sucks! I mean seriously Jubilee the fucking vampire? |

You would think it's cool.
 |
Hey, I dig the dark chicks.
Also: http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/im...4001706313.jpg Web shooters, ugh. |
It's interesting that they're saying comic fans will 'appreciate' the old-school web-shooters, whilst at the same time completely changing the costume.
What's with the crazy gloves and the red stripe down his legs? On a positive note, at least the web shooters appear to be 'sticking out' of his wrists. Always bothered me in the comics/cartoons etc that his web-shooter would never stick out or bulge out when he was in costume. |
I actually dig both the shooters and the costume.
Artists like to streamline costume details.
