Is that Verge report even considering the fact that the Android account owners might already have games on their account?

Fez II has been cancelled according to tweets sent by Polytron studio and confirmed by Phil Fish.

It's with a heavy heart that we announce that FEZ II has been cancelled and is no longer in development. We apologize for the disappointment
— Polytron (@Polytron) July 27, 2013
Fish also revealed on Twitter he's leaving the video game industry as a developer. http://i.imgur.com/TmY8raH.png http://www.theverge.com/2013/7/27/45...plodes-in-rage |
Hooray!
|
It's a good thing that the one man development powerhouse Polytron, consisting of Phil Fish, confirmed the cancellation or we might just think it was Phil Fish up to his old tricks.
|
Quote:
In any event, it probably needed clarification. I've seen people who think that Polytron pulled the plug on Blowfish due to his comments being too offensive, so there is some confusion and people might have been waiting for polyconfirmatron. |
Fish should just drink all of that Polyjuice and allow Polytron to have full control over his body to avoid further Polytical issues.

He is quite polymic.

Today's News:
1) According to Activision Blizzard, World of Warcraft managed to drop by around 600,000 subscribers since the last fiscal quarter (April-June). The game currently has around 7.7 million subscribers left. http://www.destructoid.com/cue-mass-...s-258886.phtml 2) The director for Kingdom Hearts 3 states the game will not be the end of the series and instead will go in a new storyline direction for future games. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...the-franchise/ 3) Based on recent domain purchases by Disney (24 in total), "Star Wars Attack Squadron" could end up as one of the next Star Wars games made by EA in the near future. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...red-by-disney/ |
7.7 million x $15/mo. = still a shit load of revenue.

A company that big loses sight on something like that. If they're not a worldwide phenomenon they're probably thinking they're failing. I know a few companies would wish for numbers like that.

The new Mortal Kombat game ties in only in a cross-marketing way, not in narrative. Here's the show and here's game sort of thing. They would still be two separate universes.
While my own thoughts on MK are well documented, I've been eager for the tenth game a long time. There's some mythology connotations there. |

It's always kind of annoying when people think a company will reveal a new game at Gamescom and a bunch of Americans (but not all, obviously.) say they wont, purely because the show isn't in America. They do the same for magazines, too. "This new info must be fake because the source is a foreign magazine!" or "They wont reveal anything new because Gamescom is a German show!".
It doesn't matter how many times companies show new things to non-US magazines or debut things at non-US shows, every year a bunch of Americans say the same thing. |
