Had a session with Drakul. Still has a beastly Gief. First match was played with default controls, pretty much embarrassed myself. Later on, he perfected my Vega pretty bad.

I've still got a little rust to shake off with Zangief. Playing as anyone else, I'm very rusty as you could probably tell. I couldn't even remember how to do Seths Ultra or how to oil up as Hakan.

Kinda hoping MS might discount the price for AE like PS3 did this week, but I'm not keeping my hopes up. After watching 2012 matches for the past few days, I can definitely tell its worth my purchase. The balance seems much better, and I like some of the character changes a lot.

Sakura's VA is HOT. Ibuki's VA is cute, kinda bizarre her voice is pretty much Ibuki all the time.

Oh yeah, Capcom confirmed at PAX that there will be another update for SF4. PRETTY SENSUAL.

SFxT pretty much replaced SSF4 in every which way for me.

Depending on the content of 2013, I may go back to 4. Especially if there's actual new stuff, rather than a balance patch, though I doubt that.

Is it a "Now this move does 1% more damage" update or a "Now you can play as Birdie" update?

I'm guessing it's the first one.

Balance update only. Square with that now and at best you get a nice surprise of some new characters coming in. And even then accept here and now they will be the SFxT Capcom characters.

So, the 6 new stages are from Street Fighter X Tekken. I'm a little disappointed at that. I'm hoping the new character is actually a new character and not just someone from something else. No Bad Box Art Megaman or Haggar, please. Someone totally new.

He would be if he's not another Ryu. That's my only concern. I don't care if the new character is similar to T.Hawk, Makoto or Vega and I never use him/her. I just don't want another Ryu to clutter up the game.

It wont be Alex because they said it was someone who has never been in a Street Fighter game before. They also confirm it's not Bad Box Art Megaman or Asura.

What I'm hearing just might bring me back to this game, at least for a little while.

People are thinking it'll be Haggar because the rest of the FF cast are in minus Sodom.

I'd actually rather it wasn't. I really really want a 100% new character, as long as it's not another Ryu. You know the spiel.

SF4 finals hype so far.

I'd be happy to see another grappler but, he's a little too close to Zangief. After all my talk about Ryu being in the game in multiple flavours, it would be a bit hypocritical of me to say "Yeah, another Zangief. Awesome!". I now have Zangief, Hugo and Hakan. All grapplers but pretty different.

You know what would be cool? A female grappler. Maybe a big beermaid from Germany called Hilda or even an American Gladiator style woman.

If they wanted another grappler and it had to be a guy, for some reason, I'd like a Scottish wrestler.

His "thing" can be he has to grab someone and physically grapple them. Then he has multiple choices from that grapple. He can sweep them down, throw them overhead, etc. If they can make sumo, a sport about pushing, into a Street Fighter character, they can do it with Scottish wrestling.

This video gives you a rough idea. Multiple types of slams. Imagine the move at 1:49 with a Street Fighter twist to it. The video has a woman screaming in it so you might want to turn the volume down.


It's the internet so theres always the chance someone wont have wanted to know whatever info I just posted and I know how annoying it can be when someone just says something that might ruin something for you.
A new TV station over here called Ginx (read as jinx) is really bad for that. It's a 24 hour gaming channel and, I swear, they can't talk about anything without telling you the twists and ending. That's if you're lucky. Sometimes they'll actually show you the ending and tell you it's the ending. Even in reviews.

Get Tekken Tag 2 and pick King.

And I wouldn't call him a grappler in xTekken anymore than Abel is. They're close-range strikers who just so happen to have a few special throws.
