His goal was a beaut, if my memory serves me correctly, Melchiot scored the first goal, then you went 2-1 up, your fans were singing loads and getting all cocky, I think "Champions League, your having a laugh" was one of the songs they were singing, as well as taunting Jimmy for being a sub.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-15-2005 08:57 AM

Yeah Melchiot pretty much strolled through our defence :$ Then again he went past on Lee Naylor's side so that's not saying much.

I fucking hate that "xxxxxx you're having a laugh" chant, it's like complete overkill now. Ok yes it's I can see how it's good that it can be adapted to fit almost anything but it's a fucking annoying tune

Dazz 02-15-2005 09:20 AM

You would love to come to a Chelsea game then, we used that tune to sing the following stuff:

Petr Cech, Cudicini
William Gallas, John Terry
Franky Lampard, Makelele
Arjen Robben, Damien Duff
Toppa the league, Aving a laugh
Champions League, Aving a laugh

Jacko 02-15-2005 09:32 AM

But that's some good chants.

Better than Arjen Robben, Arjen Robben.

We get two for the price of one.

Plus Maka and Billy get their names sung deservidly.

Even The East Stand and West Stand can do that. Abliet not to loudly.

Dazz 02-15-2005 09:37 AM

Your back at last, I was wondering where you'd gone. Someone suggested we sing (to the same tune):

I told my mate, the other day
That I have found, the White Pele

My mate said who? Who is it then?
I told him that, it's Arjen Robben
Arjen Robben, Arjen Robben

Personally I like the on MHL sometimes sing:

Robben's Good, Robben's Good
Running down the wing

Robben's Good, Robben's Good
Watch him do his thing

Wanted by the reds, bought by the blues
Robben's Good, Robben's Good.

aenima 02-15-2005 02:40 PM

Match is about to kick-off soon. I'm expecting Stevie Gerrard to give everybody a good kicking, including his own teammates.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-15-2005 03:18 PM

What match :wtf:

El Capitano Gatisto 02-15-2005 03:37 PM

The Tsunami thing, probably.

aenima 02-15-2005 03:39 PM

It's alright so far. 2-1 to the dark fellows. Ronaldinho, Kaka and Eto'o have been taking the piss.

He's quick, and black. That's all he has going for him as a footballer.

Did ya think of me when Camara scored twice and set up another :naughty:

I know there was no tackling, but come on, the guy has some serious talent.

Dazz 02-15-2005 06:40 PM

Oh yeah and Zola's goal was a beaut, I wish he didn't go, but then, he left after his best season, so I guess that was good.

Also, I am really glad Ronaldinho never went to United, the guy is class and so loveable, his skills, his body language, his smile

Rob Ban Fan 02-15-2005 07:55 PM

he was trying harder than everyone else on the pitch put together. For the 2nd goal he was sprinting through and the defenders just couldn't be arsed to get knackered or risk injury so didn't bother going after him.

The commentators said it looked like he was trying to put himself in the shop window.

Zola's goal was nice though.

Dazz 02-15-2005 08:05 PM

Yes Owen, I know, I am not an idiot, trying harder or not, he still has a good touch and a good finish.

One of the worst players in the Premiership??? Nigga what? No one remember dickheads like Jason Lee, Weah's 'cousin', Slavisa Jokanovic, Stephen Bywater, Diego Forlan, David Bellion, Pascal Cygan, Giles Grimandi, Arjen De Zeuuw. I bet Bolton have a shitload of shit players too, I just can't remember them

Danny Electric 02-15-2005 08:16 PM

Liverpool have had some duffs too. Igor Biscan, Torben Piknik to name some.

Rob Ban Fan 02-15-2005 08:18 PM

Id say he's about on par with David Bellion really since they're both black and pacy. Only Bellion is like 6 years younger.

Diego Forlan is doing really well in Spain, incidently.

The point is, the only thing Camara has going for him is his pace.

Dazz 02-15-2005 08:19 PM

Oh yes, Biscan, lolz. You've had a few horrible nig nogs too, shame the names aren't coming to my head right now.

Dazz 02-15-2005 08:20 PM

Owen you blind Doofus, I think I know what this comes down to, he is only a poor lil scummer, once he moves to a team you don't envy, you will like him. He has skill and a great shot.

Rob Ban Fan 02-15-2005 08:24 PM

Biscan isn't that bad. He was quite a good player until Houllier signed him and ruined him by playing him out of posision, id love to sign him.

well, that certainly is true. Apart from all of it.

I didn't rate him when he was at Wolves, as my post on the previous page about how I didn't want us to sign him in the summer proves. Plus the way he treated Wolves was gay.

I wasn't bothered when Southampton signed him, I was just glad they missed out on Andy Reid. Henri Camara's finishing makes Yakubu look clinical (Yakubu is a really poor finisher, I thought i should point that out incase you didnt get it, sorry Dazz :$)

Dazz 02-15-2005 08:40 PM

19 goals in a season and has some skill, the Yak is the man, but fuck off to ten million for him. Look RBF, Biscan is shit, De Zeuuw is fat and slow, other then your blackburn rant, you are always wrong.

Danny Electric 02-15-2005 08:47 PM

Please take Biscan off our hands. He's had one good game against Olympiakos, since that and before that he is and has been terrible.

Dazz 02-15-2005 08:56 PM

Mr Electric, did you cheer on Mehdi? I most certainly did.

Danny Electric 02-15-2005 09:01 PM

Was Mahdavikia playing tonight?

Dazz 02-15-2005 09:04 PM

Yeah, thats who i meant (I think), I didn't know which one is his first and last name

Danny Electric 02-15-2005 09:07 PM

Mehdi is his first name like me. I just wish I could play football like him, one of Hamburg's best players and was wanted by Spurs but they were scared that he would miss too many matches in playing internationals for Iran.
I still rememer his goal against the USA in the 98 World Cup, my house went mental. :)

Dazz 02-15-2005 09:11 PM

I see, my name is too fecking English for my liking, I wish my middle name was something cool, even Rischard would have done, there are so many great paki/irani names to choose from and I didn't get one .

I don't remember his goal, but I wish there were more (or at least any) Irani's in the premiership.

Danny Electric 02-15-2005 09:27 PM

Only Iranian I know to play in The Premiership was Karim Bagheri a couple of seasons back for Charlton but they hardly played him.
I remember Ali Daei scoring twice for Hertha against Chelsea in the Champions League a few seasons back.

Mr. Monday Morning 02-16-2005 01:19 PM

4 RBF

Forlan? Joint 3rd top goal scorer in Spain. Fair enough. Where's that gypo Kezman though?

Nig nogs? Did you just say that?

aenima 02-16-2005 01:37 PM

He should have said coloureds, really.

El Capitano Gatisto 02-16-2005 01:55 PM

Camara is crap. See his goal last night, where he played it through the defence and ran onto it? He meant to trap that ball, seriously.

He's awful, and a charity match won't change it.

He's quick, I'll give him that, but his technique is terrible and he is not a good finisher. A good finisher would have came away with more goals than he did last season, given the amount of chances he skied or sliced.

I'll never forget seeing the shape of him in the Champions League for Celtic, against AC Milan. Ball coming across the box to him, he's free on just inside, just needs to put it away to become a hero in the San Siro. He was probably thinking about that as he completely missed the fucking ball and caught the air with his wild swing, like the spastic kid who has never played before and just tries to boot it as hard as he can.

Probably because I didn't see it. Unlike some round here I won't wade in and comment on something I've no clue about ;)

Dazz 02-16-2005 07:25 PM

EH???!!!!! Bollocks don't I know what I'm talking about, just because you disagree with me MMM, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about, you don't like him yet he scored goals for you, and has been good in the couple of games for the saints.

I said the premiership, not the world, in his time in the Premiership, Forlan was a joke. I wanna give Kezman more time first, plus he is the man, so I refuse to slate him yet, and don't make me nick MMM's statistics.

Where did I say you specifically  Paranoid :p

Alex Rae scored goals for us yet worked his ass off all season long and didn't bitch when we went down, everyone knew he wanted to go to Rangers and he did it in the right way and for that he is still liked.

Steffen Iversen scored goals for us (not many mind you) and tried but he was still not good enough.

He scored some flukey goals toward the end of the season, for 2/3 of it he wasted some genuinely good chances that often didn't make it onto the highlights show and if we'd had someone like a, I dunno, say an Alan Smith in that position instead, I can guarantee you we would've had a *lot* more goals and a *far* better chance of staying up.

Plus the whole '"I wanna leave thing" and then saying he wanted to play at a bigger club than Celtic (while *at* Celtic no less) just gives me no reason to like him.

Dazz 02-17-2005 06:24 AM

Yeah and I have said Camara's attitude stinks, and of course you meanr me

Rob Ban Fan 02-17-2005 07:20 AM

be interesting to see what his goal to game ratio was like before about march.

yeah but he's still a poor finisher, take it from me.

and out of all our defenders, de Zeeuw is probably the 5th thinest out of 6. Unsworth, Primus, Taylor and Griffin all being fatter than him.
