They only cover the new characters really. They don't address any of the new possibilities with the old characters. I did find a couple hot combos with makoto, but they are FADC and the timing is pretty strict. Can't really rely on them atm.

Yang is working pretty damn well for me. Had a few excellent matches today, including one where I just beat the living hell out of a high 300 ranked Sakura.

Honestly, I agree with Roxer that this is mad overpriced. The updates to the existing roster should have been a free patch.

2 new shotos and 2 other characters who have similar styles, plus some new replay options that I couldn't give a fuck about should not equal 15 bucks.

I play this more than any other game, so of course I got it anyway. (I bought it for both ps3 and 360 ffs)

But it would have been nice if they included a couple more characters, or at least some costumes and new stages.

Since this is the last major update we're going to have to wait for street fighter 5 for some new blood. I don't count sf X tekken, since that is going to play quite a bit differently.

I think the update and replay enhancements are free. Only the characters were premium. This was reported quite a few times in this thread.

Alex and Karin should have been in this. Even if they were in the place of the 2 shotos I think the price would have been more reasonable, since they would have brought completely new gameplay.

Oni is different, but he is not Gouken or Sakura different. Still mad shoto.

The balance updates were only in the DLC anyway, you can't pick AE balance without buying AE.

E. Ryu has a couple cool things going on.

Think he may take more damage than akuma tho. And the teleport sucks.

I think Oni is the more interesting one. So many different ways to hit his fireball ultra too.

So I know that with Evil Ryu you can Shoryu > FADC > Ultra 1.

But can you do jumping m. kick > crouching l. kick > l. tetsu > H. Shoryu > FADC > Ultra 1 ?

I know you can throw in a Shoryu at the end, but is the ultra even possible? Been trying unsuccessfully to land it.

On one hand that could work, as a subversion of the 'ascended form' archetype seen in fighting games and anime. On the other hand he could hilariously over powered, which could also be a parody of sorts.
