Who the fuck cares about a steak jacket?

Anyway, I came in here to say that EC3 is incredible. He's completely owning it.

I've heard a few stories in the past, but as they've came from the internet, you can never really believe them 100%.

I've heard stories that Orton is a dick in real life, or at least he used to be until he became a father. I've heard stories that Cena is a dick, along with Del Rio and Sheamus. Big Show is apparently supposed to be a dick to you when you're new in the WWE, and I've heard that Goldust is a dick online, with Twitter and so on.

Also, as we all know, Punk is a huge dick. I get the feeling that I would absolutely hate hanging out with him.

Speaking of Punk, I actually came across a story about him last week or so but I don't know when it was from, but apparently he was complaining about the WWE going to Japan and the wrestlers getting Ribera Steakhouse jackets. I think it was because Justin Roberts got a jacket one time.

I'm paraphrasing here, but he said that most wrestlers now just go to Japan, have a match, go to the steakhouse for the jacket, then go home, and that nobody really lives/works in Japan in order to get the jacket anymore. He went on and said that the jackets have lost their meaning and tradition and that they aren't special anymore and because of that, he no longer wants the one he got. Then Colt Cabana agreed with him and said that he doesn't want his jacket either, because of that reason.

But again, it was on the internet so take it with pinch of salt. Though it does sound like something he would say and do.

I'd imagine a lot of the guys are fine if you know where to draw the line. These guys can't go to the shops with their family without being hassled, I bet it grates on you pretty quickly.

As for Punk, he seems like the kinda guy that if you're a friend he'd repay your loyalty, etc in kind. If you're a dude trying to get a signature or picture at 1am in the airport then, yeah, he's gonna be off with you.

Anybody Thrilla 07-18-2014 02:16 PM

TNA's Brittany is waaaaaaaay better as a heel. Pretty solid match with Madison Rayne on Impact. Thumbs up. :y:

Agreed. They're one of the best pure tag teams with all around chemistry I've seen in a long time that don't come off as two random-ass throw togethers (or siblings). They play off of eachother in promos, each have their strengths in the ring, and are still enough of their own character for the inevitable singles run (this is WWE, they will get split up at some point, sadly). Hell the only thing they don't have is a marketable tandem name.

And for all the comparisons of Enzo and DDP, Cass has that something that reminds me of Edge if he had that WWE approved tallness.

Eva Marie had a very rough night at the WWE NXT tapings from Full Sail University on Thursday night. Actually, I'm in favor of Kane winning, because it would be a different option. Reigns isn't ready just yet. Orton has been done death. Cena has been done to death, reanimated, and done to death again. Kane is kind of a rare one.

She draws comparison with Kaitlyn who was terrible when she debuted in NXT Season 3. That's pretty much where the in-ring similarity ends.

Saw these at the local Landmark (which is a brick and mortar retail chain for books, audio / video, games, etc). Surprised that out of the 5 titles available, one is for Ryder. Checked if they had any other WWE DVDs across any of their other stores / in the warehouse, and the answer was no.

CM Punk, Austin, The Rock, and HBK (not pictured here) i get. Didn't realise Ryder was SO popular to warrant an official DVD distribution here in India!

Tazz Dan 07-20-2014 10:57 AM

They did a series a couple of years ago with him (Ryder), Mysterio, Cena, Kofi I think, and a couple of others. Just cheap DVD's with a few matches on them. I don't think they sold well in Australia, they seem to be getting cheaper every few months at our DVD/CD stores.

Tazz Dan 07-20-2014 11:01 AM

We've got some good deals here at the moment at Sanity, our major DVD/CD chain. I picked up the latest Ultimate Warrior DVD, nWo Revolution DVD, and Best of Nitro 1&2 DVD's for $50. They normally sell for $26.99 - $36.99 each.

Asmo 07-20-2014 11:14 AM

WWE India's finally getting its act together. We just got the first official merchandise store on an Indian e-commerce portal (Myntra.com) last week, and most of the toys are being distributed at popular stores.

Hope the interest continues, and we get more licensed merch, faster. Sucks having to pay colossal shipping fees, and it deters me from buying more.

Apparently Spike TV is really upset at TNA right now and all because TNA deceived them about Vince Russo's status with the company. They only found out recently he got rehired because Russo accidentally sent the wrong email to PWI when he tried to disprove rumors of him working for TNA.

Quote:

For months, Russo hid in plain sight (due to his hallmarks being all over TNA Impact's storylines) behind duplicitous denials, but the truth exploded in hilarious fashion when Russo accidentally emailed PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson announcing instructions meant for Mike Tenay. Initially, Russo pretended that the email was a hoax designed to prove that the dirt sheets would print anything without checking into it first, but was forced to publicly come clean about his TNA status when Johnson threatened to publish the email if he did not.
Quote:

Why they would want Vince Russo to work for them, I mean, you know, speculate, I don't get it, but, whatever, but for whatever reason they hired him, they wanted to keep it a secret and they wanted to keep it to a degree from the fans, but the ones they wanted to keep it a secret from were Spike. Spike knows. You know what I mean? You know and the Spike thing, I mean the timing couldn't possibly be worse, obviously. I don't know that its going to make a difference, but obviously they're kissing Spike's ass by sending Bobby Lashley over there [to fight for Bellator].... But just think of it from the side of Spike, you know what I mean? It's not a good thing that that happened."

Quote:

The reason why the timing of this news breaking couldn't possibly be worse is that TNA's television contract with Spike TV expires in the autumn and a renewal still hasn't been signed. Clearly the delay in a deal being made suggests that there was already some dissatisfaction in Spike's corner with TNA to begin with and finding out that TNA has been intentionally misleading them regarding Russo isn't going to help TNA's case in getting Impact renewed.
Besides Spike TV being upset, the lockeroom is also upset because TNA mislead them as well about Russo's status.

<font color=goldenrod>PW Insider are reporting that Cena giving the World Heavyweight Title to Flair actually was WWE's way of getting rid of the big gold belt. They've also ordered new plates for all WWE titles as the new logo is coming the night after SummerSlam.</font>

Cool King 07-20-2014 05:55 PM

I did hear that news about the new plates today, along with the logo news, but not the Flair thing.

I guess we'll see if the Flair thing is true tonight when Cena makes his way to the ring with one or two titles.

Cool King 07-20-2014 05:57 PM

Also, when the new logo is made permanent after SummerSlam, I wonder if they'll replace the giant WWE logo that's on the stage, or just get rid of it completely.

Vastardikai 07-20-2014 06:43 PM

Two really weird ideas I had:

1. There is only one compelling feud for Adam Rose that I can come up with right now. And that involves them turning the rabbit. Not the guy in the rabbit suit. I mean have actual matches between the Rabbit and Adam Rose.

2. Have Prince Devitt debut whenever. After this debut, have ominous segments talking about how "We Destroyed Japan, and we're coming for WWE..." Then, as a way to permanently put an end to the Rosebuds, have them face Prince Devitt and mystery partners. Out comes... the Bullet Club. Mainly give the Bullet Club a brief WWE run, and one last hurrah for AJ. End of the run comes with a blow-off against a returning Wade Barrett (who's a face) and a team of his choice. Naturally, he chooses the Nexus. It then leads to a formal Devitt-Barrett feud.

Ryders was only 10 bucks new.

Don't see how Eva Marie is "hott", but AJ is "an underage girl" and Mickie James is "fat". None of these statements are true, but to each his own, I guess.

I suppose if she's a big enough bitch on their bullshit crossover reality show they don't vote her off the island that is WWE programming, but yeah, if she is the drizzling shits in the ring... why go there?

There are far better looking women than her who are at least halfway decent between the ropes (except Charlotte. Incredible athlete, but she unfortunately looks exactly like her dad in his prime but taller. Nattie doesn't look nearly as much like Anvil as Charlotte favors Ric.). Eva botches more than Sin Cara #1, and has no mask (well, not counting all the caked on makeup as a mask) or mood lighting. Kelly Kelly is better and she was fucking abysmal. I'm surprised she hasn't Jack Swagger'd anyone yet. Even herself. She makes everyone in the ring look that much worse, and I'm including the ref.

But more to the point, "looking good" over "ability" is one of the reasons why women's wrestling can't get over. You get a decent, watchable match out of a couple guys, then to women get in the ring that can barely arm drag and if you don't get up to piss you're only watching hoping for a nip slip. People have fond memories of Trish and Lita for reasons other than masturbation fodder. They could actually (and were able to) put on matches that were fucking watchable ON TOP OF them being something decent to look at.

WWE can relegate the non-working bitches to arm charms, and they elect not to. I guess especially now that there is already Lana, they don't want to "confuse" people by having more than one female heel manager. Give the women who can work time to work, ship the rest down to NXT or give them other shit to do. WWE can step the game up, TNA proved that a few years ago, they just don't seem to want to.

Fignuts 07-21-2014 01:54 AM

So stupid that they're making KENTA change his moveset. Losing the Go2Sleep because you think your fans will just forget that CM Punk worked there, whatever, fine.

But he should keep the running knee and yes lock, as it creates a story for him, and gives him the perfect set up for a feud with Bryan once he comes back. KENTA can be all pissed and claim that Bryan owes all his succes to his stolen moveset. It fucking writes itself.

#1-norm-fan 07-21-2014 01:55 AM

I don't find Eva Marie all that hot (not by diva standards at least) but that's irrelevant. If I found her to be a 10, I'd say that's a reason to keep her on TV... just not a reason for her to wrestle. Have her stand in someone's corner or on camera in backstage segments and look pretty. Don't put her in the ring to move around awkwardly and sell like she's never seen a wrestling match in their life. It actually makes her less hot when she gets in the ring and performs like a retard. I am actually turned off by how dumb she looks in a wrestling match.

The Usos are like the larger versions of London and Kendrick. Read the results and am quite shocked by the result of the Jericho / Wyatt match.

I still can't tell the Uso's apart.

I loved that Funaki was with Kenta in that video.

It just makes me want to see Funaki as Kenta's manager.

Also, on Eva Marie, I really don't find her attractive at all. She reminds me of one of those slags you see on Geordie Shore, and in some studio shots of her, she looks like she used to be a guy. Like a post-op transsexual.

It just boggles my mind why she keeps being given televised matches when she's clearly not ready. It must be some sort of rib, or maybe Kevin Dunn thinks he has a chance with her if he keeps giving her TV time.

It's quite obvious that she has absolutely no idea what she's doing when she's in the ring, but to her credit, you can see that she's trying. I think maybe a year in NXT would do her the world of good, and during her stay there, she can learn more than just how to wrestle. She can also learn some history, as I get the feeling she has no clue about anything historical about wrestling other than Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, The Rock and maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin.

From what I've heard, ROH had an event that was pretty much right around the corner from that stadium and it was practically sold out.

And to think, TNA and OVW had a thing going not too long ago, and apparently now, OVW is doing so much better than TNA right now, and TNA only ended things with them around eight months ago.

TNA must be kicking themselves.

According to a new report published over at SEScoops.com, original Intercontinental Title battle royal match plans at Battleground called for Dolph Ziggler to win the bout. Creative plans were reportedly changed last Tuesday at a WWE producer’s meeting, during which the decision was made for The Miz to go over in the match, and eliminate Dolph Ziggler for the IC Title win. It’s being said WWE decided to have Miz win the bout since he will be doing a ton of media appearances in the near future to promote the upcoming WWE Studios film “The Marine 4.” It appears, however, as if Dolph Ziggler is not completely out of the IC Title picture, as future creative plans call for The Miz to feud with Sheamus, before moving on to a feud with Ziggler.
Quote:

There has been speculation that the upcoming Sheamus vs Miz feud might be to unify the United States and IC Titles, and personally I think it would be great to see both Ziggler and Sheamus chasing Miz for the unified mid-card Championship until the “sands of time” finally fall. Sheamus, Ziggler and Miz all prominently featured in the IC Title picture would continue the hot streak the title seems to be enjoying as of late.

Late last week, PWInsider.com reported WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat had been released from WWE due to budget cuts, as he recently accepted several non-WWE related appearances. In the past 48 hours, however, it appears as if WWE might have changed its mind and re-hired Steamboat, as he has since reached out to the non-WWE promoters and told them that he would no longer be able to appear for them unless they reached out to WWE for approval.

There are no new episodes of WrestleMania Rewind and WWE Countdown on the WWE Network this Tuesday night. One week after WWE loaded up the Network for the free preview week, it appears they're airing nothing but replays this week. There's still a chance they will premiere a new Legends of Wrestling episode on Friday night and a new Beyond The Ring on Saturday night but the schedule hasn't been updated that far.

John Cena broke his personal record of his longest television and PPV win streak at WWE BattleGround last night with 14 straight wins, per ProFightDB.com. His previous personal record of 13 straight TV and PPV wins was in early 2007.

Droford 07-21-2014 07:15 PM

Hey, look..another streak for Brock to conquer. I dare Heyman to mention Cena's won at 14 straight PPVs.

Cool King 07-21-2014 07:20 PM

I had a nap today and I had a weird dream that Heyman's Plan C was actually CM Punk.

He returned tonight and the crowd went crazy, and he came out with a new theme and he was wearing a bunch of new CM Punk merchandise. T-Shirt, Hoodie, Beanie/Skully/whatever you want to call it and so on.

He then spoke about he had us all fooled into thinking that he had left the WWE and retired.

WWE would blow up every single one of Twitter's servers if that happened.

The problem is it makes no sense. When we last saw Punk he was still on the outs with Heyman. There'd have to be a pretty crafty storyline reason why Heyman would go to Punk instead of Lesnar.
