I wonder if the Royal Rumble will have larger attendance than WM33

Cool King 09-30-2016 06:16 PM

20 years after first hosting the Royal Rumble, it returns.

Cool King 09-30-2016 06:16 PM

The scary thing is, is at first I thought 1997 was only 10 years ago.

slik 09-30-2016 06:20 PM

According to Wikipedia Camping World Stadium (WM33 - Orlando) seats 65k for football and the Alamodome seats 72k for football.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-30-2016 07:48 PM

I hope whoever whistled all the way through the main event in 1997 is not present.

Well she wasn't the worst then.

Cool King 09-30-2016 08:40 PM

Also, you're forgetting about Kelly Kelly.

These "Where Are They Now?" videos are pretty damn good.

Cool King 09-30-2016 09:15 PM

It's also good to see that Rory McAllister is still wrestling.

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10, legitimately one of the greatest pro wrestling cards of all time, begins airing on AXS TV tonight featuring commentary from WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett.

This will be the first of four straight weeks covering the show, and will include the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship match between Kushida and Kenny Omega, and the Match of the Year contender for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. It was also the second to last match Styles would ever work for New Japan, as he made his debut as a WWE Superstar just a few weeks later.

NJPW on AXS TV airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. EST.

Droford 09-30-2016 09:21 PM

Styles and Nakamura have come a long way in 9 months

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-30-2016 09:24 PM

KINSHASSSSSA!

Kelly Kelly was abysmal, yes - only hightlighted by being the "centerpiece" of the division and having televised matches every night.

Candice Michelle was forgettable. I remember nothing about her except opening her sweater on her entrance, and thinking there are other girls with better tits, so why is this her gimmick? Forgot she was even champion.

Deborah and Kitty were below the basement. They clearly only got runs because of their relationships at the time, and made even worse because of the angle (Deb's shadow or Mini Me Chyna) between the two. Neither of them were even "wrestlers", just valets who rolled around in the ring. They made Kelly Kelly look *deserving* of her reign. However, If one had to be "the worst", it was Kitty by a nose.

I like Taya and she is a fine athlete, but she is the textbook definition of a butterface.

Rammsteinmad 10-01-2016 06:51 AM

Good for Ted. :y: I like that he can still call upon WWE to help with things outside of the WWE.

Who was that in the next episode preview? Eve Torres?

Innovator 10-01-2016 06:54 AM

Yeah, Eve Torres Gracie

Nakamura will never get over in the WWE. Americans still haven't forgotten Vietnam.

Droford 10-01-2016 05:37 PM

The Daniel bryan vs The Bear documentary is funny I guess

You could theoretically slap a title on anybody, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're worth a damn.

DaveWadding 10-01-2016 06:10 PM

I'm bored and watching Triplemania XXIV on Youtube. Johnny Copa Mundial is the rudo Americano vs. Pentagon Jr, who is over as fuck.

Mongo Lloyd 10-01-2016 08:42 PM

What happened to the big show, did he finally retire?

Black Widow 10-01-2016 08:47 PM

I can only hope one of the most boring fuckers ever calls it a day.

Droford 10-01-2016 08:56 PM

Absence doesn't always make the heart grow fonder apparently

No but the sheets teased him and Mark Henry are transitioning more into a backstage or media role for the company. Outside of Big Show's planned Mania match against Shaq, them showing up on tv is going to be a rare thing now.

Mongo Lloyd 10-01-2016 09:39 PM

Shaq having a match in 2017. oy vey

Mr. Nerfect 10-01-2016 11:18 PM

If they're going to do Shaq and Big Show interacting, then at least make it a tag match so it's not as horrible as it could be. Shaq & Cesaro vs. Big Show & Dolph Ziggler or something. Dolph can bump like shit for Shaq and Cesaro gets the rub from being partnered with Shaq and he can body slam Show again.

With the Royal Rumble being in San Antonio, I imagine this is where they'll start the build-up to that epic rivalry between Show and Shaq, with Shaq eliminating Big Show from the Rumble.

Callng it now...Shaq v. Big Show in a cheeseburger eating contest will headline WM 33...:shifty:

Mr. Nerfect 10-02-2016 03:19 AM

It'd draw more than Kevin Owens on top would.

Fignuts 10-02-2016 04:21 AM

Vader seems like a cranky bitter fuck, but Will Osprey seems like a passive aggressive douche pussy.

No winners in this feud.

Mr. Nerfect 10-02-2016 05:36 AM

I couldn't tell who the wrestler was.

Mr. Nerfect 10-02-2016 05:41 AM

Holy fuck, Ospreay is a prick, hahaha. He couldn't tell Vader was trying to get his name out there and be relevant? The idea of ignoring people trying to coast on your fame has clearly not entered the guy's head.

Mr. Pierre 10-02-2016 10:57 AM

Sheesh Ospreay, follow the bouncing ball you idiot. Barely seen the guy work, but it seems he exemplifies a lot of what's wrong with wrestling.
