I would love that card. Lesnar vs. Johnson is a Rock match I would like. Punk vs. Austin is my current WWE dream match, and Cena vs. Taker would be a fantastic match.

Rammsteinmad 04-05-2012 05:54 PM

Really not thrilled about any of them to be honest. They'll be cool matches, don't get me wrong, but if that's the three main events, then what do guys like Ziggler, Barrett, Sheamus, Bryan, Orton, Kingston, Miz etc get? More crappy squash matches or clusterfuck tag matches?

Corporate CockSnogger 04-05-2012 05:56 PM

Daniel Bryan would move up one more step on the ladder and be involved in a 4 minute multi-man throw away tag team match.

Given that this is on the front page of wwe.com... yes?

But he'll be the guy who gets pinned immediately after being tagged in.

barring Orton, work to make themselves even half as valuable as the guys in those spots

Would Austin be able to get himself in any shape to perform with his neck or is it purely hopeful speculation? I know Punk could help him get through a match well enough but still.

The problem is, in my opinion, to really define themselves as 'top names' they need their Wrestlemania moments, since a lot of top guys/legends really 'made themselves' at Wrestlemania. Getting the pinfall in throwaway tag matches or squashes isn't really the way to do it.

yeah but it's not like guys randomly get put into the Mania matches and hope the moment is what makes them, they have to "get there" first. Ziggler should be a in a much more "prominent" position come 12 months time

He should have been this year imo.

CSL 04-05-2012 06:15 PM

I dunno, they gave him the little test run around the Rumble, I think they pretty much just couldn't find a spot for him, they're clearly "high" on him. think Cody might be up next tho

If that's the case then I'm all for it.

Also, Ziggler should probably just be in every single match at next years Wrestlemania.

Corporate CockSnogger 04-05-2012 06:19 PM

OR PUT HIM IN A MATCH WITH BILLY GUNN

Exactly. They 'couldn't find a spot' for some of the top, rising stars in the company. Ziggler and Rhodes are more or less 'there', but need that big payoff. The big Wrestlemania match/moment that will validate them as top stars.

I've said this in another thread, but when Rock, Lesnar, Undertaker, Austin, Michaels etc are all well and truly finished, who will WWE call up as a big Wrestlemania draw? John Cena?

Don't get me wrong, if these are the matches we're getting, they'll be good matches and the hype will get me into it, but I just kinda feel that WWE are making WCW's mistakes now by relying too much on 'old guys'. The roster right now is fantastic and full of so much incredible talent. I just hate seeing them bust their asses all year only to go into Wrestlemania in the matches that don't really mean anything.

but it's a numbers game, the show was sold around 3 matches that were booked some time in advance. I guess they could have put him with DBD and Sheamus but that's clearly Sheamus's vehicle/he's "ahead" in the line. As for Rock vs. Cena vs. Ziggler, Taker vs. Triple H vs. Ziggler, Jericho vs. Punk vs. Ziggler etc, he's just not on those guys level yet no matter how good he is. he can compete bell to bell but he's not really quite in the same ballpark when it comes to being "a complete package" on that level yet. He'll get there.

He exaggerated his personality. He didn't play a character and he struggled to be average on the mic in WWE. Go away already you dense retard.

Correct, for the same reason Haggar and Zangief can never be in the same game. (Pallette swaps/alternate "cosplay" costumes and MUGEN don't count.)

Those two in the same ring would be the wrestling world equivalent of crossing the streams.
