Cyclops is supposed to be tall and Storm is tall for a chick

Fignuts 03-03-2011 02:49 AM

Storm is african. She is probably mad tall.

Jeritron 03-03-2011 02:58 AM

Wolverine is definitely way too tall and the costumes look quite lame, but I'm not really going to harp on it since I don't have interest in anime anyways.

BigDaddyCool 03-03-2011 11:44 AM

why did you ruin my color?

See storm is the tallest. No, I don't understand preservative and foreground/background artistic techniques.

Fignuts 03-03-2011 12:52 PM

Your logic is flawless.

I should probably point out that not all Africans are 8 foot Sudanese people. In fact, most Africans are not tall at all, what with the no food thing.

BigDaddyCool 03-03-2011 01:07 PM

But she is one of them Sudanese people.

Lock Jaw 03-03-2011 01:26 PM

I bet she's real good at basketball too.

Reavant 03-03-2011 02:54 PM

considering she can fly to the hoop yea

BigDaddyCool 03-03-2011 02:58 PM

well good at basketball for a girl. Probably can't dunk.

Reavant 03-03-2011 03:47 PM

again... u realize she can fly?

Miotch 03-03-2011 03:49 PM

His point is that she's a girl, and that even the ability to fly only allows her to do layups and jump shots.

Reavant 03-03-2011 03:51 PM

yea i got that i just like making him feel stupid way to fuck it up

BigDaddyCool 03-03-2011 04:20 PM

Anyhow, she can't flying, she glides on gusts of wind or some bullshit.

Reavant 03-03-2011 04:29 PM

McLegend 03-03-2011 05:20 PM

Awesome

Blitz 03-03-2011 05:23 PM

Fuck he looks awesome.

Jeritron 03-03-2011 08:28 PM

When I scrolled through, I thought that was one of those high-end sculptures based on the comics.
Then I realized it was actually him from the movie.

That looks incredible. I can't believe how authentic it looks to the character.

Giant Size represent.

Red Skull looks like the ultimate bastard.

dronepool 03-03-2011 09:46 PM

I love Red Skulls jacket.

And like this, Jeritron?

Jeritron 03-03-2011 10:56 PM

Yes, basically.

I really love every bit of news that comes out about Captain America. Usually these things tend to sound worse and worse, but this keeps getting better and better.

There hasn't been much talk about it in here, but I'm thrilled about Alan Silvestri doing the music.
He just has the perfect style. When they announced this, I hoped the tone of the movie would be a mix of Raiders, The Rocketeer, and Back to the Future.
Seems like everything is working towards that.

I guess my only hope I'm still not sure on is whether or not they will stick to practical action/stunts/effects for the most part.
I'd rather see real, rough action like Raiders of the Lost Ark. It just suits the character better, and most importantly, the time period. Something about using a boatload of CGI in a movie set in WW2 just magnifies the shittiness of it. I know there will obviously be some CGI, but hopefully not uneeded amounts.

Joe Johnston seems pretty good about that though. I was really pleased with the use of makeup and practical effects in The Wolfman.

Fignuts 03-03-2011 11:22 PM

Holy fuck Red Skull looks amazing.

Funky Fly 03-04-2011 12:48 AM

Cap is looking to be a great film here.

The Avengers:

SPOILER: show
Quote:

Before The Trailer (via Screenrant) tracked down the complete information for the upcoming New Mexico casting call. The interesting part is this description of the story:

"A superhero team called 'The Avengers' do battle against two separate alien extraterrestrial humanoid life forms. The Avengers are a superhero team, consisting of a group of Marvel Comics heroes aka 'Earth’s Mightiest Heroes'. The aliens that The Avengers will fight are called 'The Kree' and 'Skrulls'. These two extraterrestrial races become embroiled in a war for ages that ultimately makes its way to Earth, and the Avengers unite to intervene with all their power and might combined."

Lara Emily 03-11-2011 03:21 PM

Fucking sweet choice for The Avengers antagonists

The Destroyer 03-11-2011 03:46 PM

Assuming it's actually true. I have my doubts.

Fignuts 03-11-2011 05:44 PM

Damn, didn't think they'd go with Kree-Skrull war right off the bat. Not that I'm complaining, as It's arguably the best Avengers story ever.

David Slade, who directed 30 Days of Night (2007) and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) will direct a new Daredevil film for 20th Century Fox. Slade had been one of the finalists to direct the new Wolverine movie, but lost out to Darren Aronofsky.

According to Variety, the new Daredevil movie won’t be a rehash of the rather pitiful 2003 Fox Daredevil epic that wasted the talents of a great cast that included Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Garner, Jon Favreau, and Joey Pants (Joe Pantoliano). Certainly there are plenty of Daredevil comic book sagas that could translate well to the screen given the right creative team. No writers or other members of the creative were announced except for producer Peter Chernin.

The 2003 Daredevil movie, which was directed by Mark Steven Johnson, cost $78 million and earned just $102 million domestically, which means it didn’t make money for the studio. Still, it earned nearly $80 million overseas, so it probably came close to breaking even—and with Marvel’s “use it or lose it” clauses in its movie rights deals, Fox has evidently decided to role the dice again for a second Daredevil film rather than let the rights lapse back to rival Marvel/Disney.

Lock Jaw 03-15-2011 11:29 PM

Figured this was coming. :y:

Rammsteinmad 03-16-2011 02:28 PM

I really liked the Daredevil movie, so I'm happy if another one is being made.

In a blow to Fox’s Wolverine sequel top tier director Darren Aronofsky has bowed out of the production. A significant part of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine sequel, which will be called simply The Wolverine, would have been shot overseas, most of it in Japan. In a statement announcing his intention to leave the project Aronofsky said: “It became clear to me that the production of The Wolverine would keep me out of the country for almost a year. I was not comfortable being away from my family for that length of time.”

According to Deadline, Aronofsky’s breakup with actress Rachel Weisz and custody issues concerning their son are behind his decision to leave the project, which has nothing to do with the script by Christopher McQuarrie. In his statement Aronofsky expressed his disappointment, “I am sad that I won’t be able to see the project through, as it is a terrific script and I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Hugh Jackman again.”

In its statement Fox expressed “understanding and respect” for Aronofsky’s decision. The studio also noted that “Hugh Jackman and Fox both remain fully committed to making The Wolverine. We will regroup and move forward aggressively.”

The project has not yet officially been greenlit, but the start of filming had already been postponed from this spring due to Jackman’s promotional schedule for Real Steel and the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Jeritron 03-17-2011 03:54 PM

Jesus that is a huge bummer. That will now be renowned as one of those "what if" movies. Especially since it's highly unlikely they're going to find a replacement on his level.

Lock Jaw 03-18-2011 02:23 PM

JK Simmons to voice J. Jonah Jameson on the upcoming Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. :y:

Inadequacy 03-18-2011 02:38 PM
