For the first time in years I actually defended ARod to to friends last night. 4 fucking pitches thrown at him only to get a warning? That was horrid judgment by the ump.

I watch as the top of the giant A-Rod head slowly splits opens to reveal a smaller A-Rod. An A-Rod torso mounted on a horse's body.

It's holding a bow.

And it fires a tiny fireworks arrow that explodes over the house.

Bob Sheppard's voice booms through the mansion again.

I put a pillow over my head, roll over, and go back to sleep.

Braves losing Heyward (possibly for the early playoffs) is awful. He's been the only decent leadoff hitter the Braves have had all year. Schafer is going to have to produce, and BJ needs to figure his shit out right now.

I expect no such thing, it's what any Braves fan wants right now. It's not like he's going anywhere for the next four years (most likely).

I just don't like players like him (and frankly this goes for any sport) who seem to blame their troubles so much on stupid things like the umpire calling strikes that they think are balls. That mentality is basically evident every time BJ comes up to the plate.

But, you know, BJ figured himself out in the second half last year, so it could happen. It's just not likely, having watched 95% of his at-bats this year.

Also, at this point, I fully expect a Mets fan to accidentally murder Chipper Jones in a hunting accident to complete the trifecta of unintentionally taking out Braves players this year.

According to ESPN its because the Indians still weren't willing to offer Dice-K a spot on the main roster and the Mets top prospects are too close to their innings limit. Nobody else was really interested in Dice-K besides the Mets once he became available.
