We're doing well beating ourselves down in Miami right now.

road doggy dogg 08-18-2013 05:41 PM

Miggy is just a bad, bad man.
crossrine

DaveWadding 08-18-2013 05:57 PM

Every time Max pitches these days, I want to stab a fork in my eye. Worst trade ever.

The Condor 08-18-2013 10:07 PM

Ryan CumDumpster

screech 08-18-2013 11:01 PM

Cumming all over A-Rod

screech 08-18-2013 11:01 PM

Holy shit the Phillies won

McLegend 08-18-2013 11:12 PM

Lol A-Rod is the man

McLegend 08-18-2013 11:25 PM

That's one of the greatest FU Home Runs ever.

Emperor Smeat 08-18-2013 11:30 PM

 Dempster tonight.

RP 08-19-2013 02:01 AM

Ive watched Dempster several years. Establishing his fastball my ass. Lol

Agreed. That was two middle fingers and a crotch grab basically.

SammyG 08-19-2013 02:26 AM

The Dodgers are good and will win the WS.

For the first time in years I actually defended ARod to to friends last night. 4 fucking pitches thrown at him only to get a warning? That was horrid judgment by the ump.

Innovator 08-19-2013 12:38 PM

I hope the Yankees can get the next Commissioner in their payroll. It must be nice to continuously hit other batters and never get ejected.

The Fraze 08-20-2013 03:00 AM

Well, damn.

ClockShot 08-20-2013 01:21 PM

Yankees with a rare Tuesday afternoon game today.

Just weird.

Oh, doubleheader today. Nevermind.

Emperor Smeat 08-20-2013 05:59 PM

Swept a double header last night. Jayson Nix as the surprise hero. The WildCard is within reach somehow.

There's a stretch Hummer in my driveway. Mounted on top of the Hummer is a giant fiberglass head. Wearing a Yankees hat. The head is smiling. I can see that because it's illuminated by spotlights.

"Hey, Jetes," booms a voice from the speaker in the giant head's mouth.

I speak into the intercom. "Are you in there, Alex?"

"Nope. Still in Boston. Did you see the game tonight?"

"I did."

"They hit me, Jetes."

"I know they did."

"Hit me for playing baseball."

"It might be more complicated than that."

"I'm just exercising my collectively bargained right to play, Jetes. They know that."

"It was very upsetting."

"Did you see my home run?"

"I did."

"Total bomb. A-bomb for A-Rod."

"Very impressive."

"I'm back, Jetes."

"That's great, Alex."

"They've awakened the sleeping giant."

"OK."

"The sleeping giant is me, Jetes."

"That's good to hear. We could use it."

"Centaur mode."

"A centaur's not a giant."

"It's a giant centaur."

"I'm going back to bed, Alex."

"Giant centaur mode activated."

"Yeah, I got it. Can I go back to bed now?"

"Fine."

"Good night, Alex,"

"Sweet dreams, Jetes."

I watch as the top of the giant A-Rod head slowly splits opens to reveal a smaller A-Rod. An A-Rod torso mounted on a horse's body.

It's holding a bow.

And it fires a tiny fireworks arrow that explodes over the house.

Bob Sheppard's voice booms through the mansion again.

"Num-ber Two, Der-ek Je-ter. You are in grave dan-ger."

"Num-ber Two."

I put a pillow over my head, roll over, and go back to sleep.

screech 08-21-2013 07:22 PM

Lol what the hell?

Adder 08-21-2013 08:19 PM

love it

Boomer 08-21-2013 10:17 PM

Braves losing Heyward (possibly for the early playoffs) is awful. He's been the only decent leadoff hitter the Braves have had all year. Schafer is going to have to produce, and BJ needs to figure his shit out right now.

Skippord 08-21-2013 10:19 PM

that was not the most pleasant hit by pitch I've ever seen

Boomer 08-21-2013 10:22 PM

It looked like it could have been worse, too.

Skippord 08-21-2013 10:25 PM

Jason Heyward's quite a tough dude apparently

feel like most people would not have gotten up as quick as he did.

DaveWadding 08-21-2013 11:09 PM

Boomer expects Bossman Junior to figure his shit out...

The Condor 08-22-2013 12:41 AM

Jayson Nix goes from hero to DL casualty tonight. Yankees season has been hilariously and ridiculously karmic for the previous seasons of dominance.

The Condor 08-22-2013 12:57 AM

Can we say that BJ Upton has an offensive form of Steve Blass Syndrome?

I expect no such thing, it's what any Braves fan wants right now. It's not like he's going anywhere for the next four years (most likely).

Boomer 08-22-2013 01:04 AM

I just don't like players like him (and frankly this goes for any sport) who seem to blame their troubles so much on stupid things like the umpire calling strikes that they think are balls. That mentality is basically evident every time BJ comes up to the plate.

But, you know, BJ figured himself out in the second half last year, so it could happen. It's just not likely, having watched 95% of his at-bats this year.

Boomer 08-22-2013 01:06 AM

Also, at this point, I fully expect a Mets fan to accidentally murder Chipper Jones in a hunting accident to complete the trifecta of unintentionally taking out Braves players this year.

DaveWadding 08-22-2013 01:11 AM

I hate BJ so much. Hate his guts.

J Up is still my favorite though <3

Pretty much my sentiments. Justin is a fine player.

Mets sign Daisuke Matsuzaka and he is starting against the Tigers tomorrow.

Heh. That came out of nowhere.

Boomer 08-22-2013 08:37 PM

Brandon Beachy going to see Dr. Andrews next week. Better not be out a year again :(

According to ESPN its because the Indians still weren't willing to offer Dice-K a spot on the main roster and the Mets top prospects are too close to their innings limit. Nobody else was really interested in Dice-K besides the Mets once he became available.

Skippord 08-23-2013 12:46 AM

Rafael Betancourt has blown two saves in two nights and has also probably blew out his elbow. So that's not cool.

The Fraze 08-23-2013 03:32 AM

19 games back in the West, another loss tonight, still going and sitting 1st row on Sunday. This is just part of being a genuine fan, you don't give up on your team when they're not winning.

Helps being in love with the city your team is from.
