I know there's a chance that it happened, but it's hard to believe a guy like Benoit would do something like that.... based on what people have said about him. Not just not, but well before he died. He seemed like a quiet, decent, human being. He's so well respected.

I know it's hard to believe, and tough to take in, but it looks as though Benoit may have killed his wife and child. That's going to put him in an entirely different light.
Of course, you can't rule out Nancy as the killer. But most news outlets are running with the double-murder/suicide right now. |

Woah. I'm having a real hard time swallowing that it could have been Benoit. That doesn't add up to, doesn't make sense from anything I know about the guy especially from what people have been saying today.

Fayette County, Georgia police are investigating Benoit's house following the discovery of the bodies. Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department reported to ABC News that it was being investigated as a "possible double murder-suicide". Investigators believe that Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend and then himself sometime on Monday although the cause is unknown. Fox News is reporting "Detective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being investigated as a murder-suicide" and "WAGA reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend, and then himself sometime Monday." I'm not sure if anyone else has been refreshing the testimonials section of WWE.com, but, they pulled Stephanie and Dean's videos for about fifteen minutes. Really strange, but now they're back up.

It's not our place to speculate on what has happened and I think if you have any respect for Benoit at all you will all just leave the speculation to the side for now. Benoit has been scrutinised personally and professionally by the wrestling community for fifteen long years now and never once has there been a doubt about his character.
