LMGs are useless in this game. No advantage at all.

The mobility on all of them is the worst downside. On regular core matches, getting more than 2 hit markers with the M60 is a joke considering it does the most damage out of all of them. If you add rapid fire to it, which I did with all of them, there shouldn't be hit markers at all. And then adding a grip? With quickdraw? It should be the most lethal combo in the game. Except that's not how it works in Call-of-Duty-Land. Had rapid fire and grip on the MK46 and the sights go all over the place if you hold the trigger for more than a second.

Guess I'll have to stick with assault rifles from now on. And "now on" is only going to be like 2 more weeks or so. Gunna prestige one more time and then cool off with this.

Still gotta finish spec ops too.

Maybe you're just not good with LMGs, because MK46+grip+silencer is killing bitches for me right now.

I find using Marksman with the LMGs is pretty good as you can spot from further away and take advantage of the huge mag size and lessen the impact of the lack of mobility. People get confused as fuck if they're getting hit from a distance rapidly and don't have anything on their mini map.

Maybe I just shouldn't be using rapid fire. I find it ridiculous that I fire 10 shots with rapid fire into someone and I get either a bunch of hit markers or don't get anything as the other guy has already killed me.

rapid fire seems to be useless on most guns, with exception to the UMP.

Roxer, what match type are you playing when you use the LMG's?

The only time I use them is on CTF and I just defend our flag with it.

Yeah, obviously LMGs are better suited for defense. But even on offense, they should prove lethal. I should not die to any enemy using an assault rifle when I only get two hit markers.

In real life, a gun is a gun. If you get shot, you get shot. Fuck anything about fire rate or damage or mobility or any of that shit. You can complain to God when you're dead that your death is bullshit because your gun had a higher fire rate. I get that.

But in Call-of-Duty-Land, they've set it up so that (not including sniper rifles) the MK14 (the single shot assault rifle) and M60 are the guns that deal the biggest damage. You should rarely get more than 1 hit marker with those guns. If I get the same amount of hit markers with the M60 as I would with any other LMG, then what's the point? Even if I add rapid fire, which would make the M60 the deadliest gun available, I still get the same amount of hit markers if I die from someone using an assault rifle.

I love LMG's and I've just given up on using them because they're extremely situational. They might as well have just taken them out of the game, because they clearly don't care about them.

I searched Crossfire on YouTube to see which map between it and Ambush I was thinking of. The first video that is suggested is a glitch video.

Having a recoilless L86 would be tempting for a lot of cheaters me thinks.

So what, work around it then. You act like you are actually going to see someone from 25 feet away from you with no recoil. The only time you would see it is if you watched the killcam...something an experienced gamer spends little to no time doing

Does anyone know why we can't add attachments to the Model 1887 shotgun? You can add attachments to all other shotguns, just not that one.

You can even unlock the attachments proficiency which allows for 2 attachments.

It doesn't matter that much. The initial classes all have some later level perks and weapons for you to try out, but even the starting stuff is pretty good. One of the starting SMGs, the UMP45, is considered one of the best weapons in the game. It's more about finding the weapon and perk setup that works for you.

Also, unlocked the AK today and you guys are nuts. It's as beastly as ever in this game.

What the hell would be the point of that? I have nothing to prove and I never said MW3 was a bad game. I just stopped enjoying it. I got Skyrim and enjoy it immensely.

I see no reason why I cannot have a civil discussion on glitches. With as many players that this game has and the numerous asshats looking for them, glitches are bound to be found eventually. I want to see how long they take to patch the time around though.

Though none of you seem to be too bothered by the recoil glitch or at least not saying you are.

I really do not have much reason to discuss gameplay. I will say this much though, with this game coming out year after year, I wish they would test it more so these sort of things do not happen.

Supposedly the CM901 has an increased rate of fire when it has an under barrel attachment. Haven't tried it because I hate the reloading animation for the gun, takes to long.

Not for long. Patch coming that's gonna rebalance/fix some stuff, such as the CM901, dual FMGs, Type-95, and Fallen Angel's dreaded no recoil glitch, among others.

In other news, MP7 is killer. M60 is pretty hot too.

Pretty happy that I picked this up over Battlefield 3. Seem to have a ton of fun so far, while I think BF3 would have frustrated me already (not a fan of large maps). Still learning the weapons and the perk/killstreak system, since its my first COD game since COD 2.

The second playlist change is the addition of Hardcore Headquarters Ricochet to the Hardcore playlist. Furthermore, all Hardcore modes will now feature ricochet, meaning that all friendly fire will be reflected back to the attacker. In other words: Shooting a teammate is basically shooting yourself.

In Hardcore SD. Someone earns a care package and you stand under it. It lands on you killing you in the process. Except it's ricochet and it kills them instead. Giving you a free care package.

A. Fired up my Xbox last night and got a message in my mailbox saying since I was having "difficulties" with Elite, Microsoft and/or Activision tacked on an extra 30 days on my subscription for free. Don't even recall having difficulties. Anyone else get this?

B. Opened up my mail on the net here and and got a message from Elite. They were nice enough to give us a free prestige token and an extra 2 hours of double XP. Just a heads up.
