Ubisoft confirms Beyond Good & Evil HD will arrive on PSN at some point this May. Pricing for the game is expected to be $9.99 based on the XBLA price being $10 (800 MS points).
Bonus content for the PSN version will be 2 free avatar pictures for a customer' PSN account as long as the game is bought within the first two weeks of its release. XBLA already received this game on March 2 as part of a small timed exclusive and the fact PSN still requires developers to pay for bandwidth or storage space. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/pics/be...4_expanded.jpg http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/8...etwork-in-may/ |

Great, more hand holding and even less of an ending.

The more I think about the moral choice system in fable, the more it starts to hack me off.

River City Ransom 2 confirmed to be in development with a release in Japan this summer and potential news of a worldwide release at a later date.
The game is in early development but the studio behind the project, Miracle Kidz, hasn't announced which console(s) the game will arrive on. As of right now its not an exclusive or else it would have been confirmed in the initial press release. http://i.screwattack.com/content/ima...1300474166.jpg http://screwattack.com/blogs/ScrewAt...tting-a-sequel --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Square-Enix announces that the Xbox 360 exclusive game has been officially halted and canclled. No actual reason by Square-Enix was given for the cause of the cancellation. The game was set as a Third Person shooter and a mid to late 2011 release date before the cancellation was confirmed. |
So will RCR2 be 3D or stay close to the original?
All for retro games. :y: |
The website for the game showed off NES style sprites for characters.
Its safe to assume the sequel is going to follow the retro NES style for gameplay and not the modern "retro" or SNES/Cell-shaded like a few River City remakes were. |
The world of Milo was shown off in a talk at GDC by Lionhead. It's a new engine they built, I believe. If Milo really is cancelled, they'll use this in other 360 games, I'm sure. Looks good.

Monday Night Combat is free on Steam this weekend...

The best version of Tetris was on the official site all along.
Sign up and send me a friend request (KalyxtriaD). The whole suite puts the last few console releases to shame, and it's all free and ready to stream. You have to watch ads between games but whatever. |

Was playing Tekken 6 last night and started feeling it a bit.
Still not as good as VF5 and it's more pattern recognition on defines than anything special, but it's fun not playing at a high level. |
Hacked PS3's can now use Kinnect as a controller.
Pointless, but kinda cool. |
Got rid of like 90% of my videogame collection. Kept saying "oh I'll get to all those backlog games, and I'll go through the games I've beaten again, and play it a different way."
Was never gonna happen. |
Instead of the usual announcement of the person or someone from the winning Super Bowl team for the cover of Madden, this year EA is holding a mini-tournament to find their next player for the cover.
Every team is represented by a player except if Seattle wins, then the fans (The 12th Man) would be on the cover. If the fans win, it would also be the only time non-players have been on the cover since the switch from John Madden to NFL players. The fan voting takes place on ESPN Sportsnation website and ends April 27. EA is even holding bracket predictions that let you predict the whole bracket and join groups like the NCAA tournament on ESPN Fantasy games. http://cache.gawker.com/assets/image...etrevised4.jpg http://kotaku.com/#!5783817/maddens-...e-fans-are-one ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Concept art, videos, and other stuff related to a canceled Perfect Dark sequel game called Perfect Dark Core was released today. It turns out the project was in development once PD 1 was finished and only was canceled in 2009. The game would have let you pick between a male character or Joanna Dark but like Duke Nukem Forever, Rare had no clue on how what their final vision for the project would be. The game was changed multiple times with the original change occurring when Rare canceled the Gamecube project, another when PD Zero was lackluster, and the final change somehow included a lot of mech-combat and scripted action scenes with no relation to anything in the Perfect Dark series. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...re-new-details |

Hopefully the Internet would somehow purge those fucking meme faces and make the internet a more humorous and less morale draining.

Didn't think it was possible but Activision found a way to be shittier in selecting a video game cover than EA when it announced its own Cover Tournament to find the character to be on the next Call of Duty game.
Most of the names are generic (ex. US Army Guy Backlit) and while Activision is allowing people to predict and "vote", its not a true fan voting system like EA's bracket using ESPN Sportsnation. Activision's version of the fans spot in this bracket would be "asshole xbox live players". http://cache.gawker.com/assets/image...covervote2.jpg http://kotaku.com/#!5784280/call-of-...e-fans-are-one |
Tough decision between exploding helicopter and exploding helicopter #2.

For me it's between Burning Ground (Dark) and Mark Wahlberg (Circa 1999)

Activision? In a good and hilarious marketing campaign?
I'm SHOCKED. |

You realise this is just a kotaku joke right? |
I did after noticing the Kotaku 2011 mark but not initially when posting the report. Kotaku's new layout makes it a bit tougher to view images than before.
Would not be surprised if Activision really did something like this for their next cover. |
Capcom announces plans of bringing 2 past Resident Evil games to get the HD port/remake treatment. Resident Evil 4 HD and Code Veronica HD are expected to arrive on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in a single collection being called Resident Evil Revival Selection.
No new gameplay features or stuff will be added to the games but Resident Evil 4 is expected to get another Ada mission mode to go along with Assignment Aada and Seperate Ways. If it does indeed occur, this would make Resident Evil 4 arrive for the first time on a Microsoft console (no Xbox version) and the 2nd time the game has been enhanced this generation (RE 4 Wii Edition). It would also make it the 4th RE game in the series to have a remake/port this generation (RE 1, RE Zero, RE 4, and RE Code Veronica). http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/pics/re...1_expanded.jpg http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/8...-and-xbox-360/ ------------------------------------------------------------- Things not looking good for Hudson after their buyout from Konami as Konami announces that three upcoming 3DS games from Hudson have been canceled to go along with a few others Hudson had hoped to release. Included in the canceled games were Omega Five, Bonk, and Bomberman for the 3DS. |
