New digital series called Lil' Gotham will be starting on October 31st. It will apparently be monthly and be mostly about celebrating various holidays of the month. Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain are in it. |
Ha.

Do I spy with my little eye...STEPHINE BROWN!?
|
Yes.

So I reread The Dark Knight Returns again yesterday, and I like it more then I did. It's growing on me.
However the DVD is still better then the book. The whole 2 face chapter comes across way more powerful and deep on the DVD. |
Read Superman Earth One Volume Two. It was "alright", which means it is stellar compared to most of the New 52 stuff.
I would enjoy it more if I did not have to wait a few years to read the next volume. Especially since this one seemed largely there to set up the next story, it felt like. Which is all fine and dandy if it were a monthly ongoing series.... but with having to wait a few years in between each volume.... each volume's story should have a big impact and story. |

You got to be fucking kidding me.

As the article says, the hair colour change has been confirmed, but the stripe removal is still up in the air. Even so, changing the hair colour is stupid as fuck. Looks amateurish and petty. See and a few pages ago you all thought I was overstating DC's vendetta against its benched characters, especially Steph. She is copping it.
The strange thing to me is that even though clearly people want her, DC isn't budging. OK, she might not move a million issues a month on her own, but she's a strong supporting character and I dunno. I feel like DC is just being stubborn and antagonistic for no really justifiable reason. |
These are the same people that made Batman TAS villains cock-blocked from the Justice League 'toons (mostly) despite how awesome some encounters would be. Very pointless.
|
Don't get me started on Wayne and Diana never appearing in Smallville, even after it went full superhero mode.

My guess the phone call is from Kreeblim. http://www.perma-bound.com/ws/image/...06980/m?ref=vd "No, Susan, you can't be Batgirl. They'll think you're someone else and change your hair color. Now shut up before he sees us!" |
Someone should alert DC that they left an old-costume Jay Garrick in Li'l Gotham. Needs to be changed to his new getup POST-HASTE!
|
|
I've never been a huge DC guy. With that said, I'm loving Arrow.
|
Laughed at pretty much all the scenes with his new bodyguard in the last episode.
Ollie: "I have to go to the bathroom" *several moments later* Diggle: "Oh he's long gone. Pffft." |
I also like that tech geek girl who has been in a few episodes. Show needs more of her. Ollie should bring her into the fold as his "Oracle" down the line. Theoretically he should not have become a computer wizard on a "deserted" island. So he will need someone to do tech stuff for him.

It isn't entirely inexplicable he's not inept on computers... he was just more concerned with blowing money and banging anything with a uterus. He just isn't 100% up on pop culture. But, having more extensive help couldn't hurt. |
Unrelated to what I just said: everytime the stepfather is in a scene, I keep thinking that he would somehow make an awesome Darkseid in some other incarnation of a Superman show. He just kinda has that presence.

DC has announced 52 variant covers for its upcoming Justice League of America #1. Gotta catch 'em all.
|
Well damn.
|
Count Vertigo will appear in Arrow. Unlike Smallville, this is turning into a who's-who of C-D level villains, which is cool.
|
|
Ah yes... Martian Manhunter and his love for Oreos.
There was an entire issue of Martian Manhunter where Blue Beetle and Booster Gold stole all of his cookies, which caused him to lose control and go on a rampage. |
admittedly, I'm new to the DC universe ( I only started paying REAL attention after playing DCUO), but I never heard of this. Must Learn.. More...
|
During the early 90s, the Justice League International was often times lighthearted and humorous in nature.
During that time, the Martian Manhunter gained a fondness for Oreo cookies. In his own series much later (2000? 1999?), there is an issue with a flashback to the JLI days where he tells the story of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold stealing his cookies, which turns him into a Hulk-like monster on a rampage for cookies. |
|
Miss old JLI :( Booster and Beetle were amazing together.
|
It was also referenced in Smallville, an oreo cookie literally preceded his reveal.
|
Jesus this is awesome. Im going to make a small confession. I purposefully refused to watch smallville. kinda feel like a dumbass now. gonna fix this soon.
One reason I'm realizing the error of my ways is this new show Arrow. Fuck it's good and I just saw somebody really awesome from the rogues gallery. |

It was only five years ago, I think he can catch up on iPads pretty quickly.
|
But all the hacking and digital tracking and stuff... that isn't easy to learn. Probably not something he knew anything about before the island either.
Anyways.... Isn't Eddie Fyers an ally of Green Arrow in the comics? |
Not too versed with Ollie in the books.
