Punk is supposedly showing up on Raw.

If he does, they should take the time to have fun with it.

Barrett should come out to Punk's theme and have some bad news..

AJ Styles should change the name of his finisher to "The English Neckbreaker" :shifty:

Malfeitor 03-02-2014 07:25 PM

SummerSlam tickets go on sale next Saturday. Excited to get them.

Another one injured because of a botched Styles Clash...

Swiss Ultimate 03-02-2014 09:02 PM

That sucks. Although, it seems like if anyone is to blame for a botched clash it's the guy taking it.

Someone with training school me on this if I'm wrong.

Droford 03-02-2014 09:08 PM

Looks like that guys head got knocked off

Yeah, both guys taking the Clash were blame for the botches. Roderick Strong was hurt in January too, but that was clearly Strongs fault as he tucked his head at the last minute for whetever reason.

Purgatory 03-02-2014 09:26 PM

Lionheart was the latest victim, neck broken in two places last night, I believe.

Droford 03-02-2014 09:40 PM

The guy can now rip off Kurts "broken freakin neck" routine

Swiss Ultimate 03-02-2014 11:08 PM

I will say this much...I always thought the Clash was a bit of an unimpressive way to end his matches. Especially back when he was super flippy-McHighspot. A lot of his move-list is more high-impact and visually appealing than the clash.

Purgatory 03-02-2014 11:18 PM

Yeah, my presonal fave was the Peyley kick out of nowhere.

I remember it was in one of the smackdown vs raw games and it was super weak even as a finisher

OH MY GOD YES.

Seriously it doesnt look like it hurts at all. Sure thats me sitting on my couch. But to watch him kick out of a canadian destroyer then hit a 450 splash and then a pele kick and then a "Air something flippy of the top" and then to end it with the Styles Clash? No thank you.

The only time I like it was it was a Smackdown vs Raw 2004 move I could give my CAW that had a built in PIN animation.

Hanso Amore 03-02-2014 11:36 PM

And the fact that so many people get injured...Shit Mabel off the top rope hurt less people. Its not that cool. If people cant take the fall safely SHIT CAN it

That corkscrew splash Styles does would make a great finish. Think he has won some matches with it.

That said I don't have a huge problem with the clash. It does have an awkward setup, but to Styles credit, he's found lots of cool ways to transition into it over the years.

Always enjoyed Styles work. I have his best of set from TNA, and his matches with Abyss are particularly great. Those two had great chemistry.

Feel sorry for him that this keeps happening, but I think he should turn this into an "I break people's necks" gimmick.

Bad News Gertner 03-03-2014 02:24 AM

Undertaker should be facing The Miz at Wrestlemania: streak vs streak.

GD 03-03-2014 03:22 AM

The Miz was so hot a while back. Damn, he dropped the ball like crazy.

Lock Jaw 03-03-2014 03:42 AM

By "awhile back", do you mean three years ago?

Swiss Ultimate 03-03-2014 03:44 AM

Miz didn't drop the ball. He ran a successful heel gimmick that made me love him, beat Cena in the main event at Wrestlemania etc.

That he rose to those heights in the first place is a testament to how hard-working and talented he is.

GD 03-03-2014 04:00 AM

I would love nothing more than to see him succeed. I've heard (via podcasts) that he relies a lot on script and isn't good at improvising.

Swiss Ultimate 03-03-2014 04:02 AM

Which podcasts?

Swiss Ultimate 03-03-2014 04:03 AM

I dunno, I've SEEN him improvise. He was really good with the crowd when I was watching.

GD 03-03-2014 04:07 AM

Live Audio Wrestling and Review-A-RAW.

That hilarious fuck up aside, I like The Miz. I don't think he dropped the ball as much as WWE's inability to keep characters interesting for more than a couple months came into play.

And as much as people hated him as a face and he just didn't quite fit the role, I wanted to see him work on it and eventually find his niche as a face. WWE needs a new "cocky prick" face character since most faces nowadays, much like the heels, tend to be booked in the same generic fashion.

Swiss Ultimate 03-03-2014 05:09 AM

Heh, that was painful. He really developed himself on the mic significantly after that.

Bad News Gertner 03-03-2014 06:50 AM

Anyone remember when Trish Stratus managed Val Venis and he came out to this theme? Watched a Raw from 2000 and did not remember this one bit

A tweener would make a nice change, hate that as soon as someone turns face they become all smiley and bland, I don't think the Miz works as a face at all but if he were to keep his smugness and still play the babyface role I could buy into that. The figure four doesn't suit him though.

Just had an idea for a 5-on-5 WWE vs NXT elimination match at WrestleMania to get some more guys involved in the show while also promoting NXT.

Tomorrow night on Raw they build up the amazing performance of Sami Zayn on NXT Arrival and how Triple H was so impressed he's giving him a match on Raw. Zayn faces Alberto Del Rio and pulls off a huge upset which pisses off ADR and gives Triple H the idea that more NXT stars should get the chance to prove themselves on the big stage at WrestleMania. Triple H himself will handpick team WWE and JBL will handpick his NXT team.

I'm thinking something like...

Alberto Del Rio, The Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and Fandango
vs
Sami Zayn, Alexander Russev, Adrian Neville, Bo Dallas and Tyler Breeze

#1-norm-fan 03-03-2014 07:35 AM

I've been posting a lot of mini-Noid post fantasy booking scenarios lately. I feel dirty.

Purgatory 03-03-2014 09:04 AM

Thank you for leaving CJ Parker out of that booking, tho.
