I actually really like the new uniforms. Makes them look more like a "crazy-super-science-bullshit" task force.

Not sure about Spider-Man being on the team, though. I don't mind him being friends with them and maybe filling in for an interim position, but Spidey just works better as a solo guy to me.

They could have plucked out a c-lister and gave him a push on the revamped team, but damn Spidey looks good in that suit.

Used to think so too, but the chemistry he has with his teamates on the avengers, has proven that he works great on a team.

Spidey dialogue has been one of the best parts of the past few avengers books, and I expect similar greatness from his interactions with the thing.

Hate anything with kids in it, and they have been featured prominently in ff for a while now, so I probably won't pick this up.

Speaking of avengers, if you are not reading Avengers, New Avengers, and Avengers Academy, then get off your ass. You're gonna want to read them. Especially Avengers.

OK, then, if not Reilly, how about Anti-Venom? It's the right color scheme.

It's Peter, 100%. Johnny and Pete were good friends. It does fit the Anti-Venom scheme but having Eddie and not Peter team with them makes no sense and don't forget Spider-Man does change outfits for different situations and I'm sure Reed Richards designed it for Peter, for whatever mission they need it for.

Fair enough - I'm just trying to find an excuse for it NOT to be Peter.

I don't mind though, actually even if he's on 3 teams+soloing, it's not all happening at once so I'm cool with it, plus remember Johnny's death was just the end of the first big chapter (out of 3) the writer has planned, so this isn't forever I think.

I read the issue Johnny dies. He goes out like a champ, and it's very well done. Though it should be noted, it doesn't actually show him dying. I can see him coming back a while from now.
