It was fine. I came to know about the movie after the whole kickstarter thang happened. |

Garden State? Meh...
Watch it with a gal to get the most out of it. Fn hate the scene where he's listening to music and SPOILER: show |
I think this weekend I might watch The Hobbit since I downloaded it two months ago
|
Lunopolis. Netflix told me about it so I watched it. Fn cool. Enjoyed the Hell out of it. If you like sci-fi / philosophy / conspiracy theories, youl love this.

Lords of Salem - Weird. It goes from being really atmospheric and creepy and claustrophobic to really corny and silly. It's like Rob Zombie's technical proficiency is a hindrance. He's really bad at directing actors too. I don't know it was interesting, nothing out there really like it. 6/10

Iron Man 3 - 8.9/10

Iron Man 3-10/10
See my long post in the Iron Man 3 thread. Short story, it was fucking awesome, and I loved it almost as much as the first one. |
Iron Man 3 - 67
Found it quite enjoyable despite a few issues with the crazy shifts in tone. And Iron Man has never been my favorite so the usual problems I have with the character bugged me. Pearce and Kingsley  EDIT: was just thinking about how cool I found Ben Kingsley's Mandarin and would've enjoyed more of that |
Star Trek Into Darkness - 8/10
Enjoyed it a lot, although some shaky-camera shots did my head in a bit. |
Bruins vs Leafs Game 6 - 0/10
|
Day of the Dead (original) 5/10
Olympus Has Fallen 8/10 - loved it |
Taxi Driver 7/10

Pulp Fiction (In its entirety) - 8 / 10

Mosquito Coast - 7/10
American Grafitti - 8/10 Shame - 6/10 |
Joshua Tree, 1951: A Portrait of James Dean - 8/10
James Preston does a fairly decent job of portraying Dean in this one. I found it odd that they never mentioned his roommate William Bast by name - he is just credited as "The Roommate" I also have never heard of this Violet women that is in a large part of the film. They also refer to Rogers Brackett as just Roger. I was glad to see a film that explored Dean's sexuality as we see him having sex with both men and women. Most films have just mostly hinted at it. most of the scenes taking place at Brackett's home are shot beautifully. |
Star Trek into Darkness....3 out of 4. Sooooo much action.....never stops for anything. That's good and bad. Some things I don't get but its entertaining. Not a Hell of lot to think about and ponder other than the lines pulled from the first "timeline" which was cool, but not a mind blower.
SPOILER: show |

Cabin in the woods was great. I give it two hard cocks out of a possible 1.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut - 8/10
Pretty sure I saw the original theatrical cut years ago and didn't like it. Was too young to really appreciate it, but wow. Didn't feel like a 1982 movie at all. Has really stood the test of time, and was still culturally relevant. Pretty great, kinda creepy sometimes. Really cool feel to the whole thing, just really enjoyed it. |
Looper - 8/10
|
Star Trek Into Darkness 9.5/10
|
The Watch 7/10
End of Watch 8/10 |
Hangover: Part III 8/10
Wanted to uppercut the woman in the row behind me, one seat to the left of me, she had that annoying laugh that no one dreams of sitting by. The person with her laughed so hard one time and kicked my chair on accident. I also wanted to uppercut that person in the vagina. |
Silver Linings Playbook 6/10
Stick with the book. Gangster Squad 8/10 |
Now You See Me - 4.5/10
A perfect example of making a below average film with an amazing star cast. |
Now You See Me - 66
I enjoyed it, but the twist was ridiculous. I want to have Melanie Laurent's babies. |
Of course you enjoyed it, square.
|
Iron Man 3 - 2/5
|
The Game-8/10
Old Michael Douglas movie I happened to catch on Showtime. Really good, though, at times, pretty far fetched. Michael Douglas is great. Star Trek 2-8/10 First one was amazing for me. This one falls a little short, but everyone was great. Spock/Kirk chemistry was great, great set pieces and action sequences, and KHAAAANNNNNN kicked all kinds of ass. Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country-8/10 Randomly saw this on SyFy, and stuck with it. Really good. Loved seeing the over the hill cast get their hands dirty one more time. William Shatner is the fucking man. Well paced, well written, and well shot despite not having a whole lot of different set pieces. Never was into the old school Star Trek, but after this one, might go back and watch a few more. |
Hangover 3: 3/10
Iron Man 3: 6/10 |
Now You See Me: 6.5/10
Entertaining for it's running time, but pretty forgettable. Twist was ridiculously predictable, but the cast seemed to be having fun. |
Gangster Squad - 8/10
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters - 7/10 Jack Reacher - 7/10 |
Silver Linings Playbook - 9/10
I really enjoyed it. |
I watched The Guilt Trip and Broken City.
|
I also watched the movies Warm Bodies and Killing Them Softly.
|
42 - 7/10
|
Fast and Furious 6 - 4/10
What a waste of money. |
getting real tired of your negativity, Guru Dave

Hangover: Part III
7/10 It was different enough to the first two to be enjoyable. |
Ruby Sparks 7/10

10/10. Despite I never saw the 1st one but I will, this one was good. Everything is in 1st person view cam and I love how most of the segments are like Walking Dead-ish style plotline. My fave segments in V/H/S/ 2: The Indonesian cult plus the alien abduction that seemed like a darker side version of Spielberg/J.J. Abrams Super 8 version. Go see it. The 1st part where the guy gets an eye implant, the plot reminded me alot of that Asian horror flick, THE EYE. |
wait you didn't see a horror movie?
|
Hangover: Part 3: 6/10
It was alright, not great but not totally awful. |
The Notebook - 8/10

Today has been a total fuck off day for me. 4:13pm..... Sure I can fit a few more movies in today.
|
I'm gonna watch warm bodies tomorrow. Came in the mail with the new spider man.
Amazing Spiderman 5/10 - was better than the last sequel but not as good as the first one. |
Can't stand The Hobbit.
Gangster Squad wasn't good. Will watch A Good Day To Die Hard tomorrow. Low expectations there. |

Behind the Candelabra - Liberace seems terrible in a million different ways but also comes off as weirdly likeable. Good gay acting by Damon and Douglas, pretty good movie.

This is The End 8/10
Needed more Micheal cera tho, he was the funniest cameo |
The Adventures of Tintin
8/10 I really liked how it started, but I thought the end was kind of "weak". |
This Is The End: 8.5/10. Laughed the whole way through, heartily.

10/10 Sooo much better than the shitty ass 2007 version. I like how they even made Superman weaker aside from Kryptonite it had something to do with SPOILER: show The new Superman doesn't sport a curly hairlock or a nerdy look and we have a hobo 300-ish Spartan Warrior Leonidas style at the start of the movie. As for General Zod well, we didn't get to hear him say, "KNEEEEEL BEFORE ZOD!" But Faora his hottie Krpyton sidekick bitch ALMOST stole the spotlight from him when it comes to kicking Supes ass all over the place ala Dragonball Z/Injustice Gods Among Us beat em up brawl. Unless you can get used to the usual shaky cams during those scenes. The planet Krypton looks more like a hybrid of the Matrix Machine or better yet, think of the scene in Chronicles of Riddick and Avatar-ish scenery with the flying alien dragons again. There's even a Mass Effect reference where they mentioned one of the stations in Krypton was called, "THE CITADEL!!!" I marked out on that one. And even Superman had a "codex." Still, Snyder delivered this franchise all types of ass kicking and laser blasting that will make your pulse pound faster... Snyder, I salute you. P.S. The only thing that's totally missing in this one is the iconic theme from John Williams himself in which the 2007 version used it. Oh well. Who knows. the new theme from Hans Zimmer may take time to grow on me. Meh. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LaxqxfpSzMQ" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe> After giving it a listen for awhile now, the piano intro and the rest of this theme almost felt like it belongs in a Mass Effect 3 soundtrack.. It's all too familiar with the depressing piano tones. Beautiful stuff. |
This Is The End - 7/10
If you like movies made by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, this is a no brainer. P. S. The story is garbage. |

A Good Day to Die Hard - 6/10
nowhere near as terrible as made out to be. "Standard action flick" with added John McClane, which means bonus points and retarded grins and "BRUCE" noises from me for the first 10 minutes. Jai Courtney was/is pretty bad tho. have seen The Place Beyond The Pines, Snitch and Side Effects over the last week or two. Enjoyed all 3. Best "new" things I've seen recently have both been documentaries tho, Richard Pryor: Omit The Logic and the 30 for 30 doc "Survive and Advance" about Jim Valvano/the 1983 NC State national championship team, both of which were outstanding. |
Man of Steele-5/10
Immensely disappointing. Wasn't anywhere near the film it could have been. SPOILER: show Ultimately, just a huge let down here. It felt like Zach Snyder couldn't get away from rushing into the loud madness of the action scenes, and short changed the most interesting aspect of the film. Meh. |
Star Trek: Into Darkness - 8/10
Saw it in IMAX 3D and was absolutely blown away. Chris Pine owns the role of Kirk and his interactions with Spock makes the whole thing work. Incredible action sequences, a great villain and effects that were just mind blowingly awesome. I've never been a Star Trek guy, but the first JJ Abrams Star Trek got me good, and this one did it one better. |
Man of Steel - 7.5/10
Underwhelming. I understand that it had a lot of hype to live up to, but it was just lacking something. This is the End - 9.5/10 Seriously laughed my balls off. This is one of the funniest comedies since the first Hangover. |
Man of Steel 8/10
Someone pulled out their cellphone three seats to the right of me, I wanted to slap the popcorn bucket out of his hands and face fuck his lady in front of him. My brother was the voice of reason and advised me that I would miss out on the movie. |
Reavant would have done that. Pussy.
