It's apparantly a full length DLC so it's not just a couple of levels slightly rejigged and sold for £15.

Yeah, it showed a shot of a whole new overworld. I hope it's a little harder like some of the NSMB2 DLC apparently is. I've 100%'d the original game.

Also, Nintendo announced another 3DS Direct for next week concentrating on 3rd party Japanese games.

I don't think it'd be even remotely smart for them to go without BC early in the hardware cycle. I could see them pulling a Sony later on, but this early would be hurting their sales.

Bought Half-Life on Steam for £1.75. I played HL breifly on PS2 but I can't remember anything beyond the first little while.
I'm hoping it lives up to its reputation and I'm hoping the controls aren't ridiculous with this like Esc for jump and Tab+ALT+Enter to pause or whatever.

I had Half Life on PC when it came out and again on PS2, I'd love for Valve to put a high resolution version on the PSN sometime, to go with my Orange Box disc.

As for Aliens, it's my favourite movie ever ever, so I still want to get Colonial Marines, just not when it's at full price. I had a lot of fun playing AVP a few years ago and that game didn't get great reviews either.

Tried the game for 30 seconds. Audio is weird. Like there is a rapid TLK-TLK-TLK noise as someone talks. Like someone is flicking through a catalogue.

Don't like the controls but I could probably customise them.

Downloaded the 30 day trial of RPG Maker XP from the official site. I've no idea how to do anything.
When I had RPG Maker on my PS1 it was a basic drag and drop game etc but this XP game seems to require coding and everything. I can't manage to figure out the most basic things.

I remember putting 24hrs into RPG Maker 2 (PS2) which translated to about 15mins of gameplay. But shit; I had branching dialogue, a working shop, a boss battle, secret items, and even a mechanic where picking fruit from a private garden sent you directly to jail and taxed for your trouble (something that required a lot of time and Event mixing gymnastics).

Part 3 was eh. I was gonna screw with Fighter Maker 2 as well but I heard it was too limited for the ideas I had back then (more like Fighter Editor). I still should have tried it longer than 30mins, though.

Back then, I was around 11 or 12 and I had dialouge and events etc.

This XP game is from the official site. It's not by Agetec but by someone else. Not sure if it's a new name for Agetec or if they sold the rights to someone else.

RPGMXP seems much more of a "pro" tool in terms of what you have to do but the results can't possibly be better than what we saw on PS1.

The PS2 game had game examples of what you can do, just a simple scenario made with the game's options. Surely this program you're dealing with has something similar?

I can't access a demo to see how well a game can turn out. I can't even get things to appear in the play test. I genuinely can't figure out how to do anything. I can open menus but no clue what 99% of it means. I can place things on the map but that removes the grass around it unless I place it on another layer but then that doesn't seem to do anything.
I can't add any characters etc. Everything seems to be done through actual coding.

Either it's broken or you need a damn manual.

I still haven't beaten Revelations or even thought about 3 probably done with the series once I beat Revelations. I wouldn't even worry with that one if I hadn't already bought it. The 2 before that didn't really do anything for me and the little I saw of 3 didn't seem that interesting either.

Grand Theft Auto 5 being pushed back really fucked with me, as I enjoy playing them in the summer time.

Feels pretty standard so far, granted I'm not far into it and chose soldier so I don't really have many "abilities" that the other classes have, but it hasn't felt like anything special from any of 100 other games.

Getting to grips with the game slowly but surely. Figured out hot to add BGM, how to build a map, how to change the character sprite and how to set up basic events.

Aliens Colonial Marines is turning into Alien 3, in that the behind the scenes problems are much more interesting than the game/film itself.

WWE's next game, now running under the 2K Sports label, will indeed be called 'WWE 2k14'. As suspected 2K will allow Yukes to do the heavy lifting, while 2K themselves will supervise THQ's old branch that usually handled the localization and 'WWE-ing' of the product (specifically Visual Concepts who are often on point). It will also launch in the usual Fall time frame. I believe they are on that shit as we speak, and may have something to show next E3.

So there you have it, WWE 2k14.

I've been playing the Amazing Spider Man movie tie in game released last year. I enjoy the gameplay enough, but it has to have the most cringeworthy script and acting I've seen in a long while. Spidey is straight up obnoxious and I actually feel ok with dying because it shuts him up for a second.
