Appears I gave WWE too much credit. At the time, I was sure they were shoehorning him in to TAKE ADVANTAGE OF any Guardians Of The Galaxy rub. I hated it, but could see how it made business sense to try to hotshot him over people the crowds actually wanted to see. However, the bit about them not thinking it was going to be a very successful film makes it fall back to the "we'll tell you who you want as your favorite, dammit!" thinking that hasn't really been doing them any favors for like the last decade. |
