level 26. Feels extremely repetitive at this point. The leveling is great and i have a clear plan on a build so that keeps me going...will take another 25 to have it pulled off tho...and its taking lots of xp to level...i dunno...never ending fetch quests. Go here, shoot what spawns and come back. Not enough enemy types to keep that interesting.

If you're talking about the original, be sure to give 2 a try, if you haven't before...it blows the original out of the water.

Don't burn yourself out on that first playthrough. When you start to edge towards level 30, just start going after story missions and ignoring the ones that are low level unless they have a specific reward you want. You can catch all those other missions on a later higher level playthrough when the rewards are better and there is more of a challenge to it. When you get through the story and start over, quests and enemies will give you way more experience and it will pick up the pace of your build significantly.

Im a completionist at heart...it would drive me crazy to leave things undone...but there is no way Im doing a second playthrough....it will be a grind just to finish I think...

Ive got the bundle with 1, 2 and pre-sequal. I'll prob play other games after this and come back in a few months or so and try 2.

Destor 08-21-2017 09:39 PM

Taking Sephs advice once the missions got back above my level it became much more engaging. Might resist my urge to complete and just stick to the story...as dirty as that makes me feel.

Can never do this. Of course, it also means that many games are on my backlog unfinished.

Destor 08-21-2017 09:56 PM

Can never complete or never not complete?

Fignuts 08-22-2017 03:07 PM

I can never just focus on the main story. Have some sort of ocd thing where I have to do all the side quests.

I KNOW. I must see everything. But not only that I must be time efficient. Systematically doing everything in the most structured way possible...I think it's why I love DA:O so much...

Destor 08-22-2017 03:24 PM

but it def improved borderlands. The side quest ruined the game I think. I wll use them for grinding purposes if I find something I cant beat but other than that Im full steam ahead.

El Vaquero de Infierno 08-23-2017 04:29 PM

I've been playing Witcher 3 quite solidly for the past few months; completed the Heart of Stone DLC last weekend, and I am in the early stages of Blood and Wine. I still need to complete the main quest of the base game, but that can wait for awhile.

I think W3 is probably the best game I've played in quite some time.

Destor 08-23-2017 05:11 PM

The end of blood and wine comes after the end of the base game. Fyi. Actually all of blood and wine does but you wont notice till the end.

What im saying is go finish the main game.

Also W3 is the best game of this console generation hands down.

Sepholio 08-24-2017 08:26 AM

Witcher 3 is one of the best games I've ever played. Maybe the best.

Destor 08-27-2017 04:08 PM

Dumped Borderlands because Rabbids drops TUES. Playing Sonic Mania until then...it has mean bean machine...WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME

Destor 08-29-2017 07:32 PM

Mario + Rabbids. So so good

ClockShot 09-01-2017 04:50 PM

Finally got my Sol permit in Elite Dangerous. Gonna make the journey there and park it at a friendly space station for the time being.

Going to start Just Cause 3. See if I can blow through that pretty quick then maybe jump into Hellblade.

ClockShot 09-03-2017 11:26 AM

Alright, so didn't dig Just Cause 3.

Moved on to the Game of Thrones Telltale game. Pretty tricky compared to some other Telltale entries. And also has it's usual bugs & graphics issues like every tell Telltale game.

Destor 09-09-2017 03:10 PM

Starting Pillars of Eternity. Ill post in this thread once ive made my PC...bet it takes atleast an hour :y:

Destor 09-09-2017 03:45 PM

30 min later...i have chosen my gender...so many fascinating race and subclass options...cant decide...

Destor 09-09-2017 04:37 PM

Goimg with an elven cipher...nearlyt done with attributes...

Destor 09-09-2017 04:48 PM

Done. Hour and half..not bad, character appearance editor was so thin it took 2 seconds though otherwise id have had another 30 min easy.

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-10-2017 12:08 PM

Finished the main game of Witcher 3 (Ciri became a witcher, so I consider that a happy ending), so I will finish Blood and Wine now.

Destor 09-10-2017 01:47 PM

That was my fav ending. I personally feel thats the best ending really...

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-10-2017 04:18 PM

Ciri definitely looked happy at the end.

Geralt also went off with Yen, so happy ending there too. Sadly, Radovid went on a burning spree after winning the war.

Destor 09-10-2017 04:47 PM

My Geralt ended up alone aftwr Triss and Yen staged a 3 way in order to expose him as a letcher

Destor 09-10-2017 04:48 PM

He fucked absolutely everything he could tbh

ClockShot 09-10-2017 04:52 PM

Finished Telltale Game of Thrones.

SPOILER: show
Goodness, what a depressing game. Don't think once during the entire game I had the upper hand. Either that or the writers for this are total heels.

Ended up being among the 34% of players who played "by instinct & nobly".

Ultra Mantis 09-10-2017 06:12 PM

SPOILER: show
Yeah the whole thing was just piling on misery and no matter what choices you make everything goes to shit. The finale just made the whole game feel futile to me.

The only real way to play The Witcher.

Is it important to the plot?

I always found sex scenes in games really, really sad. And the thought that some people jerk off to them is miserable.

Destor 09-10-2017 09:24 PM

I mean you can build a very geniun relationship with multiple women but at some point you have to choose or you will end up alone. But it fits his character and is authentic to the novels adaptation. I think it belongs in.

Sixx 09-11-2017 02:47 AM

Read recently Sapkowski only got a bit of money from this. He had a choice - get some money upfront or percentages. He was sure it's gonna fail, as all Polish games do and chose the former. Must be bitter now.

Sixx 09-11-2017 02:48 AM

And about sex in games. I remember the hot coffee mod. That was awful.

Sixx 09-11-2017 02:48 AM

Is the sex in The Witcher also mini-games?

Ultra Mantis 09-12-2017 02:01 PM

Finished going through the Dark Souls 3 DLC, not sure if it was super hard or just tough because I'm on NG++ and it's new to me. Struggled most with Freide in the first DLC, total three stages of hell. The third stage works more like a Bloodborne boss, which makes it a nightmare to deal with when youre lugging around an Ultra Greatsword. Probably manageable on NG, but much not fun here.

Last boss of the Ringed City was tough at first but not too hard considering he is essentially the final boss of the series. Very cinematic though.

Midir on the other hand is fantastic, I don't know why they can never get dragons right in the main game but always deliver with the DLC. Started out hating it since I was doing chip damage and getting one shotted for ages but getting good enough to take him down was the most satisfying victory since Nameless King.

I picked up Dark Souls 2 Scholars of the First Sin also since I never got the DS2 DLC first time round. This series is not finished with me yet.

ClockShot 09-12-2017 03:57 PM

Started up Telltale Tales from the Borderlands.

Funny as hell, graphics are top notch, much more relaxed than Game of Thrones. Voice cast is great, too. All the hallmarks of a Borderlands game.

Should have this done before the week is over. Recommend you guys grab this on the cheap or FREE if you get the chance.

Emperor Smeat 09-12-2017 05:22 PM

Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

Been playing it in short bursts since my nephew uses the Switch the most for his games and this one.

Destor 09-12-2017 05:25 PM

ITS SO GOOD

ClockShot 09-16-2017 06:26 AM

Finished Tales from the Borderlands last night. By far the best Telltale game I've played. Will most definitely pick up Season 2 if it comes out.

Got Metroid: Samus Returns and I'm only hearing great things. Will stick with that until Marvel vs. Capcom comes out Tuesday.

TFtB is most likely done, since it didn't meet Telltale expectations with regards to sales. Now, on the other hand, we could focus on Borderlands 3 news...feeling cautiously optimistic that maybe 2K will officially announce it finally sometime in the next 6 months.
