Do you realize it is 2016? There are 9 year olds who can google search "asian blonde anal gangbang with carrots" and incur accurate results and get educated on that particular subject. If you really think that people who have seen AJ Styles in WWE and have liked his shit (who hasn't?) ARE NOT going online and pulling up his old infamous indie/TNA matches, then you're crazy. |

Lots of fans are interested in the here and now of WWE, but I think it is fair to say, and obvious to look at numbers, that the vast majority don't watch wrestling outside WWE. Sure, some are probably looking at a few older matches out of interest, but I would still maintain that the vast majority know 90% of AJ Styles from how he has been presented in the WWE. Even if they did look at matches from the past, it would have little to no effect on how they perceive him in WWE. |
I'm also iffy on the timing of the AJ heel turn and putting him back with The Club so soon. The more I think about it, the more I think that Ric Flair should still be with Charlotte too. Jason Agnew had a great point about it on one of The LAW's podcasts. Charlotte is already a heel and getting great heat. The Charlotte/Dana dynamic worked better with Flair in there too.
|
fun fact, one of the original co-hosts of the LAW (this is literally from like 17 years ago) Big Daddy Donnie Abreu was a substitute teacher at my high school as well as a basketball coach in the community. He was also kind of a dickhole.
|
I think Jason Agnew was either the fill in producer or regular producer when Donnie was on the show.
Jeff Marek used to host it as well with Dan "The Mouth" Lovranski. Jeff went onto become a hockey guy, but he was really fucking good with wrestling... but it was nice ot have a legit sports journalist do wrestling. The LAW was the reason I became an internet wrestling mark. |

Ric Flair has been one of the most entertaining things about WWE television recently for me. I think it makes sense to have him out there and cause distractions that allow Dana to get physically involved. |
