Seemed like they were legit pissed about that. Sonny onoo being part jew, apparently.

Sonny Onoo does not speak Japanese lol. That mask is so cool. The angle was a complete bomb and it's still cool as hell.

No reason he couldn't have, he was already capable of a moonsault, ssp is basically just flipping the other way.

Vader was very iffy on a lot of standard moves let alone turnbuckle moves, i've seen him german suplexing people and them landing on the top of their head, sometimes he'd chokeslam people and they would end up landing hard on the back of their head etc. That guy he hurt badly took a bad chokeslam landing first then the hard powerbomb landing high on his shoulders.

Destor 06-27-2022 09:46 PM

yeah thats what made him great

Destor 06-27-2022 09:57 PM

that first clip vader had to fuck that kid up.

first the kid doesnt bump off the vader attack. vader hits the kid. he gives it away but honestly doesnt sell it half as much as it actually hurt. vader choke slams the kid on his head. why? the kid is no selling him. he's the world heavy weight champion and this bum aint workin with him. its ignorance on the kids part but that cant matter. so the kid gets up from this outragoues choke slam in seconds. fuck. ok i guess. vader has to keep going. not like he can not keep working. so he bombs the kid. as hard as he can.

when youre in this position internally youre praying the idiot hears what your actions are saying. he should know what each of us is getting paid to do. this idiot didnt. not on vader. and vader isnt taking liberties either.

I think it looks great and I didn't even know what Puroresu wrestling was until I started posting here and I got put on to the awesomeness of Japanese wrestling. I also notice the non Japan wrestlers in that video are guys llke Mick Foley and Rick Steiner who also have wrestled in Japan so many times and are accustomed to that style. I don't think that video illustrates the same point as the first video at all.

But he is far from the only one to do that lol I was actually just watching a video the other day of several wrestlers obliterating jobbers...I think it might have even been posted by Gertner or someone else on here

Destor 06-28-2022 12:06 AM

job guys used to get paid really well. better than a lot of the boys. they could only make money for a short ammount of time and you needed to pay a guy pretty well to get utterly obliterated. the jobbers knew the score.

you were going to be beaten and badly. and the talent knew they needed to fuck em up pretty good too. the other guys were going to annihilate them. the same marks are mentally going to compare how you handle random job guy no.2 to how the other named talent did. they think this is real after all. if you want to get over youve gotta kill the guy. that the deal. its not like it was a con on some poor unsuspecting halfwit, those were in the stands...well most of the time anyways.

not like we could've predicted in the future guys unfit to lace the job guy's boots would be the only ones still watching.

Fignuts 06-28-2022 02:35 AM

Yeah that's what I mean, you have to admit everything has gotten a lot "softer" nowadays with this generation in the business. I feel like you're right about that last part and there's definitely a lot of people who wouldn't be able to cut it or handle breaking into the business during that time.

Crippla 06-28-2022 09:37 AM

I also should have mentioned Rick Steiner's reputation for fucking up not only job guys but even wrestlers who could be on the upper card as well although I really didn't need to because everyone is well aware of it.

As we reach our one year anniversary of the watch-along, we celebrate The Steiner Brothers!

Tune in for the pre-show at 8:30 for some early singles action from both Rick and Scott!

Then, it's epic tag team wrestling and jobber deaths galore as we look back at the career of arguably the greatest tag team of all time including four brick walls colliding in the main event as The Steiners face "Bam Bam" Terry Gordy and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams!

But that's not all!

Stay tuned for a post-show treat! Rick Steiner meets his most terrifying adversary ever and two poor fucks get paid in free Faygo at a Juggalo event to get the living shit kicked out of them by Scott Steiner and Vader!

DON'T MISS IT!

He weirdly looks like Schiavone's son for the cup of coffee he was on the AEW roster.

I have put up with a LOT over the years from WWE but putting Finn Balor in pants, they have gone too far.

On Independence Day of all days, enslaving Finn's thighs and ass to pants, this is truly a new low.

I think it says more that Raw is still several times more popular the world over than AEW, yet if you look at online engagement you’d believe AEW was taking over. There’s a magic disconnect between the internet audience and what the larger wrestling crowd enjoys.

It's either titty honking or not titty honking.

Pick your side.

I quite enjoy the honking of mammaries.

will there be titty honking matches at summer fest this year?

He had more matches on TV leading up to WrestleMania 19 the following year.

Mr. Nerfect 07-05-2022 02:42 PM

At SummerSlam, Adam Pearce’s new co-official Alexa Bliss should come out in a bikini to announce a match between Alpha Academy, The Mysterios and The Dirty Dawgs in a match where the winners and losers get to honk her titties.

drave 07-05-2022 02:42 PM

We're talking about SummerFest

Mr. Nerfect 07-05-2022 02:45 PM

I want titty honking in all the major promotions. Except AEW because it sucks.

drave 07-05-2022 03:03 PM

I fucking loved the WCW tag division around that time. Some incredible “thrown together” teams. Steamboat and Douglas were great too.

Netflix is doing a docuseries on OVW

It's focused on current OVW and began shooting late May

- Fightful

slik 07-06-2022 01:39 AM

Netflix retains 'first look' rights at any new OVW series in the future as well

Hmmm

Jordan 07-06-2022 12:26 PM

OVW production is pretty good to be honest. I haven't watched a full show but I am interested. The regional name hurts them but also it is their legacy so it's a bit of a conundrum.

Mr. Nerfect 07-06-2022 02:34 PM

Weird @ the OVW/Netflix story. I mean, I can understand a “life in the day of a wrestling student” and how OVW’s legacy and where it is now creates an interesting context for the show. I’m doubtful an actual wrestling series gets picked up over something WWE though.

Evil Vito 07-06-2022 02:56 PM

To the surprise of nobody, 52-year old Buff Bagwell does not actually have the social and political viewpoints of a 28-year old progressive. It's been confirmed that his Twitter account was being run by someone else.

Oh well, it was fun to play along while it lasted.

#1-norm-fan 07-06-2022 03:07 PM

Damn. Buff Bagwell being horny for Nyla Rose was the feel good wrestling story of 2022.

Authors of Pain are con-artists too

They booked a bunch of wrestlers for their debut show, then never gave any followup info to the wrestlers so most of them assumed the show wasn't going to happen....now they've cancelled and aren't offering refunds to fans and blamed all the talent they booked instead

Kobashi is literally the only one who can do those rapid chops in the corner.

Anyone else tries, it looks stupid as fuck.
