12 Rounds 2 on TV. Had no idea Randy Orton was in this.

Bad News Gertner 05-30-2016 06:12 PM

Remember the amazing song "Rasslin" performed by Glen Goza? Well here's another video of Glen performing the song, only this time he forgets the words to his own song and gets booed out of the building lol. It's hilarious.

Or maybe they just washed it.

Just saw the Ospreay vs Richochet match. First time seeing either guy, saw it cuz of the hype. Was an amazing spectacle given the day and age. Love the different form of wrestling that it is. Obviously it wasn't "believable" in like "wow this is a real fight" but believable in the sense of watching a movie or playing a video game and 2 guys with awesome attributes and skillsets match up and play off of those vibes and know each other so well and counter each other counters and do holy shit moves the whole time. Enjoyed how it was mic'd up and I didn't have to deal with commentary, it was just 2 guys painting their own canvas and telling their own story. Scintillating stuff that I'm happy to have as its own entity and not be in the WWE, because otherwise it would no longer be unique. What helps with these 2 is unlike say a 140 pound Juvi vs a 120 pound Rey Misterio is these lads look like they can hurt you. Very believable cruiserweight hybrid types. A lot of fun to watch.

Rumor going around the net at the moment regarding NXT's future involves the WWE considering the idea of canceling the brand/promotion.

Basis for the rumor revolves around the WWE suddenly pulling NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2016 off of their Ticketmaster schedule leaving just the upcoming Takeover: The End as the only NXT ppv left.

People have been asking the Observer's Dave Meltzer about it and at the moment he's unsure about why it was done.

Calling bull on this one. NXT's been growing exponentially, and it's clearly doing its job in making stars who are ready for the main roster upon their premiers. Unless WWE really is as stupid as we all think they are, and actually do in fact hate making money, there is no way they're actually doing this. The Takeover Brooklyn event being cancelled was likely just something to do with the venue or something.

Droford 05-31-2016 09:12 PM

If they call up even half the NXT Talent for the draft I dont see how NXT would be viable for a while..

I don't see how the cancelation could be about the Venue since its was at the Barclays Center the night before Summerslam

Triple A 05-31-2016 09:32 PM

Damn... I hope that NXT Takeover in Brooklyn isn't really canceled... wanted to go to that :-(

Simple Fan 05-31-2016 09:37 PM

Isn't NXT a money loser? I could see why they would drop it if that was the case but with them starting to tour more you would think that would change.

For some reason, I picture Cena wearing these, and the production truck instead plays the Wrestling Isn't Wrestling version of his theme.

On Tuesday, WWE officials said that Ticketmaster would be updating the page with new logos and information and that the show is still on.

When it appeared that the next major show had disappeared, there were performers in NXT concerned yesterday because they haven't been told anything, and the 6/8 TakeOver show is billed as "The End".

There is renewed interested by WWE in bringing back John Morrison.

He is someone Vince McMahon has asked people around him about, at least to find out if he’s under contract to a wrestling organization. Morrison is under contract to Lucha Underground and it is not publicly known when a deal would even be possible.

Morrison, who performs as Johnny Mundo for Lucha Underground, said in January that he could see himself returning to WWE one day.

“When I was at WWE I wrestled everyone on the roster and I left because I felt it was time for me to go,” he told Channel Guide Magazine. “I did have plans on going back at some point. I still think that could happen. You never know what could happen in professional wrestling.”

According to Ringside News, Vince wants The Undertaker to appear at WWE SummerSlam at the end of the summer. He did work the event last year in a match with Brock Lesnar, but he’s apparently not willing to work SummerSlam this year; at least, that’s the impression. Undertaker has not returned any of McMahon’s phone calls regarding the situation ...

He is reportedly telling those close to him that he is not willing to work another match after McMahon asked him to lose to Shane McMahon at WrestleMania. Undertaker refused to job to the boss’ son, which resulted in the weird storyline result we ended up getting. Due to the issue over the match, Undertaker is not interested in working another match for the company ...

However, most within the company felt that The Undertaker would want to work again after a bit of time away. Vince McMahon hoped this more than most, and although Undertaker is a professional, he did get upset with the ordeal at WrestleMania. Vince respected Undertaker enough to not have him lose to Shane after he decided against it, but the fact that it got so heated likely means there is more to the story than this.

McMahon is apparently trying to smooth things over with Undertaker, but the Deadman isn’t really allowing him to do so as he is allegedly ignoring the Chairman at this time. The former World Champion has an interesting contract that requires him to work only one match a year minimum to get his downside guarantee. Basically, his contract asks him to perform once and he’ll get paid for the rest of the year.
Recent rumors regarding Taker-Vince relations souring. Suppossedly the way Taker's contract was done means the WWE can "freeze" the contract similar to what they did with Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan to prevent Taker from leaving. http://www.inquisitr.com/3143446/wwe...r-likely-over/

So all of these things by normal standards of decision making, you go "you know what, he's not the guy, we thought he was the guy but he's not". But they are bound and determined that he's the guy to the point of muting Seth Rollins, turning AJ Styles. I mean I loved the turn, but at most of the house shows AJ Styles was getting the better reaction than Roman Reigns. I mean there were some shows were Roman got better reactions, but generally AJ was getting a better reaction. And on TV it's night and day who's getting better. We can all come up with excuses night and day on why something is gonna work but the litmus test on who's gonna get over is if you give them a chance they get over, and that's it. Everything else, whether it's saying some women will like him or he's got a good body or he has a good promo, all these things are factors but not as important You can learn from it, but to go in there and just say because he's a good looking guy and he can be a role model for the company so he's gonna get over, I mean they've had a year plus and it's just not working Maybe Seth would be better, and if it didn't work for Seth then you can turn him back heel. This isn't the time for Seth to be heel, and now people are being told to hate him it's just falling flat

From a recent Observer Radio episode on why it was dumb of the WWE to make Seth Rollins a heel and Reigns struggling carrying the company. The last line looks even worse considering the recent documentary the WWE did for Rollins.

Some other sheet news includes:
  • RAW ratings and viewership numbers for this week are delayed due to yesterday being a holiday. Likely won't be good considering early numbers for last night's NBA playoff game was the highest ever on cable.
  • Enzo and Big Cass were this week's guests for ESPN's WWE/wrestling segment.

  • Recent media appearance John Cena had on The Today Show included debates on if a hot dog is a sandwich and the status of the taco in terms of delicacy foods. http://www.f4wonline.com/wwe-news/jo...-return-213666
  • According to the Observer, if the WWE wanted to drop the 3rd hour for RAW, it would cost them around $26-$30 million in lost revenues and tv money.
  • WWE announced the next public tour of their Performance Center will occur on July 25th. http://www.pwinsider.com/article/102...-2k17.html?p=1
  • In a "WWE Did You Know" type fact, baring any sudden changes/injuries, Roman Reigns' will end up tied for 3rd in WWE history for most main events in a row at 8. Will tie Cena (did it twice) and Stone Cold (did it in 1998) while Rock is #2 at 9 main events in a row (2000) and Stone Cold is #1 at 11 in a row (1998-1999).
  • In another "WWE Did You Know" type fact, Charlotte is currently around 47 days away from tying Nikki Bella's record for longest Divas/Women's champion reign in modern WWE history. Baring any sudden decisions, she'd break before Battleground 2016 ppv.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-31-2016 10:17 PM

What about Roman makes Vince not want to give up on him? I mean he is definitely talented but what about him makes him THE GUY

Emperor Smeat 05-31-2016 10:35 PM

Something about being related to The Rock and Vince being a big "I'm A <s>Paul Heyman</s> The Rock Guy" the past few years.

Reigns path to stardom is almost the same it was for The Rock in terms of being too forced as a big face star. If I remember correctly, The Rock and not Stone Cold was Vince's original choice for being The Guy going into the Attitude Era. Biggest difference between the two was at least The Rock and WWE were smart enough to realize quickly it wasn't going to work without drastic changes and being open to having someone else take over that role.

There were rumors a few years ago about Vince wanting Cena to be his last big hand picked mega star and let Triple H/Steph decide on the next one before going all in on wanting Reigns being Cena's successor.

Droford 05-31-2016 10:39 PM

Lol Vince doesn't know who Morrison is now

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-31-2016 10:43 PM

I don't see Rock taking it personally if they change Reign's path a little bit and don't book him like such a vanilla top guy :-S

Emperor Smeat 05-31-2016 10:53 PM

Doubt The Rock would care either especially going by recent social media since he cares a lot more about Nia Jax and his uncle Meng. Same for the Usos people think get the constant pushes or attention because of the connections to The Rock.

Nia is actually related to him while Reigns and Usos are from his grandfather's "blood brother" ties to the Anoaʻi Family.
