Cool King 06-25-2014 09:11 AM

So far there's only four matches, but I get the feeling another one will be added on the night.

Probably Rusev vs Big E or some jobber.

Anyway, the matches:

Alberto Del Rio/Bray Wyatt/Cesaro/John Cena/Kane/Randy Orton/Roman Reigns/Sheamus - Ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

The Usos/The Wyatt Family - WWE Tag Team Championship

Bad News Barrett/Dean Ambrose/Dolph Ziggler/Jack Swagger/Kofi Kingston/Rob Van Dam/Seth Rollins - Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship contract

Paige/Naomi - Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

Cool King 06-25-2014 09:12 AM

As Barrett is injured, he'll probably be taken out of the MITB match.

road doggy dogg 06-25-2014 09:14 AM

Awesome, thanks.

Seems a little light of a card. I suppose the MITB matches tend to be long though so that makes sense.

Can probably see them throwing some filler in there (El Torito etc)

I've read a couple reports that said WWE announced that Barrett is definitely out of the MITB match to the live audience after the Smackdown taping finished. Don't know if it's confirmed yet, though.

This is terrible news

Cool King 06-25-2014 02:11 PM

Also, with Mathews gone now, that means there's now a space as the pre-show presenter.

The only positive thing that can come from this is more Renee, via her becoming the new presenter.

Give Tom Phillips Renee's old job.

There is already unhappiness since even though houses are slightly up from last year with higher ticket prices and pretty much the same attendance, house show pay is significantly down. The wrestlers are mostly talking about it being a function of network losses, and there may be something to it, but another factor is that the house show expenses are up so the profit end, which the wrestlers are really paid out of, is down about 20 percent.

Extreme Rules was the second PPV of the Network era, creating an intersection of people watching the PPV on the Network, major satellite and cable providers dropping WWE PPVs, and Extreme Rules being the first PPV after the expensive WM30 event. The result was a 54 percent decline in PPV-only buys from Extreme Rules 2013. Whether or not WWE made up for that drop through Network subscriptions is in question until WWE releases their next subscriber count and revenue totals when they report Third Quarter 2014 earnings later this summer.

Recent WWE survey about the WWE Network had these as new possible features with it being likely they all get added at some point in the future:
Quote:

-"Bookmarking" programs to pick up later where you left off

-"Watch list" that allows you to select shows to watch in the future (similar to Netflix Instant Queue)

-"Recommendations" for shows you may enjoy based on what you have already watched

-"Editors Picks" list of shows to watch programmed by WWE's own staff

-"What's Hot" listing of the most watched programs on WWE Network

-"What am I watching?" feature telling you detailed information on the program you are watching with the click of a button

-Multiple cameras choice feature which allows you to select different camera angles for viewing.

Thursday night's Impact Wrestling taping in New York City was one of the best tapings the company has had in years and in speaking to a number of people who work for the company after the show, it was being praised as one of the top three or five best TNA events in the company's history.

Scott Fishman, Senior vice president and executive producer of Spike was in attendance at the taping. There were some Spike employees at the taping yesterday, but Fishman is a top level exec with the cable network and has had a long standing relationship with TNA.

Company morale was extremely up after the taping. There was a feeling that the crew had accomplished something special and that it was a night where a lot of talents who had worked hard but hadn't been spotlighted as stars received a star reaction. I would say that was a fair assessment as there were names like The Wolves who received a homecoming welcome from the audience that made them look far more important than they had been coming off. TNA staff who had never really seen how loud and passionate the NYC fans could get were blown away.
