It brought genuine emotion out in me as well. Namely disgust for whoever in creative sent them out there to do that angle. Also pity for Ric and Charlotte having to suffer through airing something as legit as that in public when they clearly weren't comfortable doing it.

And it does matter if it comes out perfect or not as well. Otherwise Roman Reigns is gold on the stick because screw the fact he stumbles on his words and repeats himself.

I am sure Ric and Charlotte were okay with doing it. Regardless, I found it boring.

Simple Fan 05-25-2016 08:42 PM

I know, not really a fan of the way he's speaking right now either. Basically Jeff swantond him off the top of the the titantron and now he's obsessed with putting an end to Nero (Jeff) since he returned.

Volare 05-25-2016 08:47 PM

Surprised he hasn't tried a TNA version of "Mattitude 2.0" or some shit.

Dude was cool when I met him at Secret's Cabaret in Fayetteville NC with Shannon Moore....we did a couple shots, shook hands and that was it.

Simple Fan 05-25-2016 08:51 PM

Kind of had something like that when he was TNA Champion. Had the Matt Hardy Brand as he called it with him, Reby, Rockstar Spud, and Tyrus carrying baby Maxel.

Smackdown has seen its ratings drop during the season, and the move to a live Tuesday format should avoid that strong night on television. Moving to Tuesday will also put it head-to-head against TNA, which likely won't hurt Smackdown ratings, but could have a big impact on the TNA ratings.

Observer on some of the possible reasons behind the push to make Smackdown a live show and TNA possibly being the biggest loser in the end.

Quote:

* Smackdown will air live in UK as well
* The Women's Division will be on one show (Alvarez). Speculation is Smackdown.
* There will be a draft, most likely the July 11 RAW. (Alvarez)
* A lot of NXT wrestlers will be called up (Alvarez)
* Each brand will have a champion (Alvarez)
* Vince is said to be "really pumped up and full of ideas" and going on a very aggressive talent signing spree. (Meltzer)
* Only one Tag Team Title. (Alvarez)
* No word on brand specific PPVs
* Meltzer is estimating RAW will have a roster reduction of around 40% - half, then made up by talent called up from NXT/new signings.
Some updates to the Brand Split news according to the Observer and F4W. In regards to the "each brand will have a champion" part, Observer teasing the WWE is planning on bringing the World (Big Gold Belt) back.

MELTZER: There's a disconnect here because the talent wants to sell. You know that? They all want to sell, and they're told not to.
BRYAN: That's the directive now. This is a performance the fans pay their money for, and they wanna see you do all your stuff.
MELTZER: Yeah, they're told not to sell. But if that's the case, then why are the announcers still talking about selling injuries?

From a recent Observer Radio show about a new directive from Vince/management in regards to wrestlers told to stop "selling" injuries and moves to a degree during matches.

I guess that would explain Sami Zayn to me then.

It's mostly likely just me but I've noticed he doesn't really sell that much, and only yesterday I was wondering why.

Simple Fan 05-25-2016 10:06 PM

Think the women should be on Raw since they have the extra hour. Don't really like 2 World titles if they're only going to have one set of tag titles.

Sucks for TNA, get their highest ratings and get hit with this news. Could be bad for them.

Lock Jaw 05-25-2016 10:07 PM

Sami Zayn an excellent seller.... see all those NXT matches where he would just get ruthlessly beat down for 80% of the match while the commentators would say "How is Sami still going?!"

Lock Jaw 05-25-2016 10:08 PM

Women should definitely be on RAW if it is still gonna be three hours.... Gives me something to look forward to during the hours.....

Simple Fan 05-25-2016 10:10 PM

I think only The Rock ever held it with that design with the old block WWF logo in the middle as opposed to up top, middle. Read somewhere that over time, after they switched to the WWF version featuring the then brand-new WWF scratch logo, the sweat of the guys actually caused it to discolor to the point where the strap turned black. Gross, but true.

The key negative is that could lead to the overproducing of the announcers, which is really the standout thing on that show.

Would be the first time in years Vince being very hands-on for Smackdown although does have a potential negative effect. Being speculated him might turn Mauro Ranallo into just another Cole/JBL type announcer.

I don’t know the circumstances that led up to it, but Darrick Moore, the referee, accidentally kneed her in the head hard. She missed the weekend house shows and was replaced by Summer Rae. Banks wasn’t booked for Raw or Smackdown in recent weeks having nothing to do with injuries, but that they aren’t focusing on her until the planned big push later in the summer but a match with Charlotte for the title at SummerSlam ...

The bad part of this is Vince McMahon has on several occasions said he believes Banks only knows one speed and that’s all out, and even months ago was comparing her with Daniel Bryan, feeling she’s injury-prone. That label isn’t a kiss of death, but there does come a point where if there are too many injuries they can get leery and you never know when that point is since Vince has put the two in the same category.

When they were flown to Dallas for WrestleMania, they were supposed to fly back to Florida with the NXT crew after the show. They weren’t actually told themselves that they were debuting on Raw until the day of Mania, one day before, and at the last minute WWE had to rebook tickets. I’m not sure they were the only ones that fell into that category because we heard about travel being rebooked because they didn’t finalize who was debuting right after Mania until the last minute. HHH had previously wanted six months worth of plans to be made for talent being brought up so they wouldn’t be brought up and then have nothing to do, flounder, and make it look like NXT stars failed on the main roster. That makes all the sense But obviously, that hasn’t happened given the way NXT stars have been brought up with no long-term whatsoever.

Observer on how the WWE's lack of long term planning is still hurting the majority of NXT callups.
