spoiler I guess*****

Rachel had it by a mile....Sam did a good job arguing but it's clear "the editors" shaped "the narrative" in a way to make it appear close. Everyone was 100p sure Rachel won the game when she won F4 immunity,,,,,,Really great and deserving winner though IMO,,,,but it is a tv show,,,,they need to make it compelling with the footage they have

"Kyle" is on the record he only voted for Sam bc he knew it was a decidedly unanimous Rachel win and wanted Sam to get the second place money (Its like $100K vs $85K for 2nd vs. 3rd place)

sometimes the FTC are legit close (like last season actually, with Charlie and Kenzie) but not the case this time

Still really love this season and I think it's the best of the new era. Just not a scintillating finale even if it was reasonably "well done" from a storytelling perspective

Lock Jaw 12-21-2024 05:09 PM

Didn't know there were prizes for 2nd and 3rd.... you'd think that they would mention that....

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-22-2024 02:47 PM

Finished Downton Abbey. My inner 70-year old woman has been sated.

I think I may check out Amazon's Outer Range. I've noticed that it has my love, Imogen Poots, which compels me to watch it. However, I may wait until I have watched The Penguin and Dune: Prophecy before doing so. It is time to tackle them.

Seanny One Ball 12-23-2024 09:34 AM

“Outer Range” got canned, I’ll watch season 2 but I wasn’t even aware it had a second season until last week and season one was actually pretty good.
“Dune: Prophecy” also pretty good but I’d get started on “The Penguin” if I was you. It is quality.

Seanny One Ball 12-23-2024 04:57 PM

“Silo” is shaping up nicely for the season one closer, so far it is a well made effort but there is far too much dialogue for a show with an average looking “hot” bird as the lead.
Had they cast somebody who was a hot average looking bird they’d have made a better decision. Somebody with bigger boobs.

I think even "first boot" gets $25-$30Kish

Bad News Gertner 12-26-2024 02:12 PM

Just finished The Last Of Us.

It was good.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-29-2024 08:38 AM

I've watched Dune: Prophecy. I found the show somewhat underwhelming.

I think I would have preferred a Bene Gesserit series based on the events that took place in Frank Herbert's final two Dune books, Heretics of Dune, and Chapter House of Dune. However, you'd have to tackle the craziness of Children of Dune and God Emperor of Dune, first.

I've also re-watched the first part of Yellowstone season 5, and the final episodes. That too was underwhelming and held no surprises.

It is time to move on to The Penguin.

drave 12-30-2024 08:58 AM

Hell yeah. The Penguin is "top shelf" as you would call it.

I didn't finish Dune Prophecy. Watched 3 or 4 episodes and just.... meh.

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-30-2024 09:39 AM

'Top drawer,' old bean, not 'top shelf.'

Seanny One Ball 12-30-2024 10:44 AM

Top hole

Seanny One Ball 12-30-2024 10:45 AM

“Dune: Prophecy” was alright. I liked the atmosphere, the acting was poor though.

They do have a cool "extra" that goes over how they achieved the look and what not. It was an entertaining watch.

OssMan 01-07-2025 11:53 PM

watching some Veep ...

poopfromweiner dude 01-08-2025 01:40 AM

snappy zingers

"dan" had good ones

Jonah became president or something at the end

Lock Jaw 01-08-2025 08:17 AM

Watching "One Hundred Years of Solitude" on the Netflix... about halfway through.... enjoying it....

Seanny One Ball 01-08-2025 09:28 AM

I’m watching “The Twilight Zone” season 4.
Also listening to old radio episodes of “Dragnet” at bed time. Glorious.

Evil Vito 02-07-2025 01:35 PM

Severance season 2 is so fucking batshit amazing

Tb1 is showing his gf and The Fraze season 1 currently.

Evil Vito 02-10-2025 10:24 AM

That show hooked me in 2022 and it was hell waiting almost 3 years for a follow up. Not many shows get me diving that deep into fan theories but it's fun as shit.

Lock Jaw 02-19-2025 09:36 AM

Noticed that Amazon Prime had added Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.... finished re-watching season 1 and got emotionally devastated..... even worse since I went to watch season 2, but apparently Amazon had only added Season1 for free and I would need to buy season 2....

Which I have now done. Damn Amazon... they got me with their ploy. Season 2 not as good as the first season from what I remember, but ain't no stopping me now.

Seanny One Ball 02-21-2025 09:09 AM

It's almost as if you're trapped in some sort of suburban purgatory

Seanny One Ball 03-03-2025 05:08 AM

Watching "Daredevil" every night. I like the action and the atmosphere but the only actor giving a top quality performance is D'Onofrio. Half way through season two and I miss him. I await his return.

Evil Vito 03-17-2025 11:16 AM

I'm still enjoying it more than I'm not but I can't really defend Severance's pacing decisions anymore for season 2. I was willing to justify it early as people just being so caught up in the world of binging that people have lost their patience with episodic TV, but we're now about to head into the S2 finale and I feel like the main plot of the story has not advanced much at all.

Episodes 4 and 7 were unbelievably good in particular. Some of the performances have been awesome so no complaints there. But it feels like characters are now avoiding asking the super obvious questions because they need to be saved for the finale.

Evil Vito 03-21-2025 12:23 PM

OK, the season finale of Severance made up for the last episode big time. Absolutely incredible. Managed to have anxiety-inducing stress moments, genuinely emotional moments, hilarious moments all in one.

SPOILER: show
laughed so fucking hard at the Alan Parsons Project playing right after a super intense moment of finishing the file

OssMan 03-22-2025 09:28 AM

I knew big vito 22 is a serverance watcher

Seanny One Ball 03-23-2025 12:46 PM

Reacher season 3 is good solid schlock that I can't get mad at.

It's the sort of action I'd allow a child to watch because it's so morally centred. Apparently Neagley is getting her own show now. Probably a load of nonsense but Maria Sten is pretty hot so I might give it a go.

Destor 03-23-2025 12:50 PM

Im going to start it in the next few days. Im in the middle of twin peaks but i wanna take a break for it

Lock Jaw 03-23-2025 01:20 PM

I went back and am finally finishing Doom Patrol season 4... was one of those things where I had started it, got busy.... let it fall by the wayside.... and then started thinking about how if I finish it there would be no more.... but it is time.

OssMan 03-28-2025 05:40 PM

Watching sillicone valley

I'll start the righteous gemstones newer season soon

Seanny One Ball 03-29-2025 12:22 PM

Silicone Valley is the best comedy binge I have ever had. Glorious.

Seanny One Ball 03-29-2025 12:31 PM

Reacher season 3 was another predictable but fun outing. Like going to KFC and seeing how many different versions there are of the exact same thing.

Dang, why didn't anyone tell me they did a musical episode in this season? Wasn't the best musical episode but was good.

Common Side Effects

xrodmuc316 04-10-2025 12:33 AM

Watched 8 episodes of the new Daredevil, and I feel like nothing has happened.

Big Vic 05-13-2025 08:19 AM

Half way through Andor, not so bad this season.

Seanny One Ball 05-14-2025 05:02 AM

"Landman" was so good I watched it all in one day. First proper binge in years. Taylor Sheridan is cranking out shows as if he is the network. His success rate is nothing short of astounding.

Finished, probably the best piece of media stars wars ever made.

Started watching Rogue 1 after and, oof, you can tell the difference.

Lock Jaw 05-22-2025 11:42 AM

Feel like season 2 was a bit rushed with the format, but was good overall. I just wanted more.
