Seems like WWE have made more changes to the PPV schedule. Fatal 4 Way is back in June and TLC is gone...replaced by Bragging Rights.
It can always change obviously, but I'd much rather dump HIAC and put Bragging Rights there and keep TLC. Maybe the brand extension will matter again in December...... |

William Regal really needs to be on TV more.

Fatal Four Way on the other hand, might just be in place to fill a hole until another or better PPV is thought of. That's just a thought I have though. It just seems like nothing can successfully fill the June slot like King of the Ring and Vengeance did. If the WWE don't want to bring back KotR as a PPV, then why not just give Vengeance it's June slot back? But I think the PPV calendar is ok, and HIAC must be proving to be successful, otherwise the WWE wouldn't be so set on keeping it in the October slot, but I think the calendar just needs less gimmick PPV's. I don't know about anyone else, but having gimmick PPV's sortof eliminates the element of surprise for big time PPV matches. For example, if two guys are feuding around October, then you just know they're going to have a Hell in a Cell match. And last month, we had Orton and Barrett on SmackDown having a Beat The Clock Challenge, and the winner got to choose the stipulation for their match at TLC. Seeing as it was pretty much the last match to be made for the PPV, and a Chairs Match, Ladder Match and a TLC Match had already been made by that time, it was blatantly obvious that it was going to be a Tables Match. :-\ I'm not a business man but I think the WWE just need to tone down how many gimmick PPV's they have. Right now, apart from the "Big Four", 7/8 PPV's have some sort of gimmick attached to it. |
They should have done WWE SINGLES NIGHT - all matches are 1 on 1

It sounds more like a late night Dating Show that would air on the WWE Network.

I've spent more time on tpww over the past month than I've spent watching wrestling without recording it beforehand.

Can someone find the promos that were used for this "remix" (and I use that term rather loosely)? Sounds like some good stuff, but as I was never a huge fan of WCW or TNA I have missed out on The Stinger. kthxbai |

Kinda mesmerized by Joel McHale bobbing his head to David Flair's theme music.

I just finished watching The Life and Death of Owen Hart. I am a bit disturbed as to how his life ended.
I am also sadden by the fact that they went on with the show even after they received the news of his death. I am not sure if the news broke after the pay-per-view ended or not. The way Vince handled the press conference was uncomfortable to watch. It sickens me and makes me feel guilty for supporting the brand. I am glad that they changed their programming to PG. I am happy that there is no content which includes blood, hardcore foul language and raunchiness. I am overwhelmed with emotions and not everything I post might make sense. Just felt like sharing it. |
They knew about it before the show ended. They said they went on with it because that's what Owen would have wanted.

Interesting tidbits I learned from Wikipedia today:
This years Summerslam will mark 15-years since Michael Cole has appeared on-screen for WWE. Also, Coles real name is Sean Coulthard! (I always assumed Michael Cole was his real name). NOT including his run on Tough Enough, December this year will mark Josh Matthews' 10th year with the WWE. Matthews turned 31 in November. Quite surprised at how young he is, and how long he has been with the company. |
I never understood why Mathews was never put in a wrestling storyline..... the guy had decent skills.....
|
Probably cause he is a weakling. Could have had a Colin DeLaney thing but then he wouldn't have retired 1-0 undefeated.
|
Yeah, he is ridiculously small, and assuming Wikipedia is accurate on this, he weighs practically nothing.
