Looks like I got that t-shirt at the right time although they may align themselves with Styles instead of Balor. If it's not going to The Balor Club, maybe they will align themselves with Reigns. That would be interesting although WWE doesn't have the guts to pull of a Reigns heel turn.

Rusev's character is a lot more fun to watch if you pretend he is a dog that has been turned into a man by a gypsy's curse.

Also if you believe in inter-promotional continuity, this gif opens up the possibility that Johnny Curtis eventually became Mil Muertes.

Controls on that TNA game were crap. Story mode was decent and I liked the roster, though. Was worth my $7.

The three hours of Raw were:

8 p.m. 3.47 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.69 million viewers
10 p.m. 3.43 million viewers

Even though the post-Mania ratings and viewership was lower than usual, this week's drop was a lot smaller than usual. For some historical comparisons, 2015 had around half a million more viewers and 2014 had around a million more for the average.

Yesterday when we reported TNA would be leaving it's Cummings Stations location to move it's headquarters to a warehouse elsewhere in Nashville, we noted it was a move that had been planned for some time. There have been reports, originated by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, that the company was being evicted from the space. It's quite possible there is some truth to that, but we are told that the company knew for some time they would be moving to the new location by May 1st. One person in the company described it to me over the weekend that they were moving due to "leases expiring" and that the move has been planned for several months. It's entirely possible the company was told they would not be getting a new lease but this was not a case of the company rushing out under the cover of night or anything that was a sudden move.
In terms of how dire TNA's financial situation is at the moment, they don't have enough spare cash around to fund their next set of tv tapings.

Yesterday we had been told that he would be off the tour, but it was explained that there was a misunderstanding and he is off most of the tour, with Kane replacing him in all the other cities that he was originally advertised.

Was originally planned to be at all the shows before the sudden pull and now is set for at least 3 shows for the tour. WWE likely realized they could afford to lose both headliners used to sell tickets with Daniel Bryan as the other one who got pulled off the tour.

Paige admitted she doesn't know what wwe is doing with her character and doesn't know what's direction she's going in.

Doesn't know if she's a heel or face, etc. Then when she said she had to catch a flight to raw, she said how she doesn't know if they'll have her wrestle.

Her favourite women to work with are Sasha, Emma, AJ and Nikki.

Someone asked about an intergender match and she said definitely Seth, she loves him and can't wait for him to return. She also mentioned Dean. Then she mentioned the Wyatts as possible partners.

Question - If there was anything you could change about the womens division what would it be?
She said more storylines, which is when she said there were some coming. "There are storylines coming that you guys will see."

She loves the new Women's belt.
Highlights from a recent Q&A session Paige had during Wizard World convention.

Didn't want to start an entirely new thread for this thought, but I think I'm interested in your opinions nonetheless.

What an absolute shame that CM Punk left when he did. If he had just held out for another year, he would've been in a prime position to get the main event of WrestleMania. If all of the injuries and everything had happened exactly the same way and Punk had stayed healthy, I could easily see CM Punk versus Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 32.

Not only that, but the influx of talent to the WWE would've made for some absolutely incredible matches. Where do I begin?

Punk vs Styles
Punk vs Zayn
Punk vs Owens
Punk vs Joe
Punk vs Nakamura
Punk vs Balor
Punk vs Aries

I could go on. All of those matches are worthy of a PPV main event and all of them would pretty much guaranteed burn the house down. Then start mixing those names up in triple threats, four ways, ladder matches... the combinations are almost endless. That's at least another 2-3 years worth of awesome, fresh feuds, which Punk would turn into gold because he was pretty damn good at that.

Now, he'll probably have one or two fights in UFC and, unless he wins, his star will slowly burn out until he's remembered as a used-to-be guy that never really fulfilled his total potential.

Simple Fan 04-12-2016 10:36 PM

Considering he hasn't been healthy enough to fight in UFC yet don't think he would have stayed healthy and would probably be another superstar on the shelf.

Fox 04-12-2016 10:42 PM

Fair enough, but regardless, the influx of talent has created the potential for some seriously amazing matches. Matches we will likely never get to see.

I was having a conversation with a buddy about said topic a while back. I'm not sure had Punk stayed that things would have turned out the same. I still see Punk walking out and them playing to the crowd with Daniel Bryan as a major change in direction of the company. It's nice to dream of the what-could-have-been's but I'm more of the belief that a lot of the opportunities for these type of wrestlers may not have been there. The Punk walk-out really was an eye-opener for the company IMO.

That being said, as I was watching last night when Gallows & Anderson came in, I just began thinking the CM Punk return would be EPIC! As gigantic of a pop that Shane got in his unannounced return, just think of Punk....

James Steele 04-13-2016 12:56 AM

I think Punk will be back in WWE in a year or 2. The UFC stuff will flop.

Even if the UFC stuff doesn't flop, Punk will come back. At some point Vince will do what he always does. He'll see dollar signs, offer Punk nice guarantee with limited dates, high profile feuds, and lure him back in.
