AEW 667,000
NXT 641,000 Maybe Khan should kill Lee's son to boost ratings. |
I'm surprised either are that high tbh, I figured news would send both below 400k.

Huge victory for THE ELITE RASSLIN COMPANY. AEW much better rasslin than Dubya Dubya EEE

Another week. Another win. Yawn.

HOLY SHIT!!! How do you have your champion's first title defense AND the return of your former champion and LOSE 310,000 viewers???

He made new memes guys. AEW is finished

You might want to figure out where 310,000 fans went though :rofl::rofl: All I know is NXT didn't just lose 310,000 viewers from last week :'(:'(:'( |
I’ve seen people blaming the news. This is despite NXT actually seeing an increase in ratings. It was 1.3 million people watching wrestling on Wednesday. That’s maybe a couple of thousand less than what usually do. The floaters tuned out. Otherwise, it was just really, really close between exploitative old Dynamite and boring old NXT. M

Only a moron doesn't grasp viewers watching news on that day
|
Not hard to believe NXT is still losing week after week to AEW Dynamite, which is such a great show most weeks. Did you guys get to see that german? Fucking hell that German drew some of the biggest ratings for AEW, NXT and WWE have never seen anything like that before, or Snoop's Splash which totally dominated WWE and NXT. Nobody can say that NXT beat AEW that's for sure, that's because most weeks except I think two or three AEW has dominated the ratings over NXT and WWE. And when it comes to fan engagement it's easy to see that AEW is dominant over WWE and Vince McMahon who may be able to have an AI audience for his shows but isn't able to program the AI to engage in social media so he loses again week after week being listed under AEW and Dynamite on social ratings. It really is incredible how WWE loses to AEW on so many metrics even though they have a programmed AI audience and defenders on forums like this that don't even watch the product but defend it so dearly because the programming hacks their shit so hard. Hahaha man that german was sick and drew super high ratings. Can't stop AEW because they have Cody and Mox (who rocks), Kenny and The Bucks. Don't forget Sting who outdrew Sheamus and Hogan and all he did was come out and look at Darby.

1.3 million viewers for wrestling on Wednesday. It’s down by maybe 200k. When has a Wednesday done significantly more? It hasn’t. Wrestling fans watch wrestling. The news is on all the time. They have it in their pockets. They don’t have to stop watching their bad dramatics to watch every single second of the news, dude. And they don’t. It’s never been that way. It’s made-up shit by Meltzer and Alvarez. I wouldn’t call you a fucking idiot so readily, but you calling people morons for actually understanding something set me off. Fuck you and check yourself. |

Amazing promo. Love it.
But let me tell you something. I cut my 14 teeth trying to learn and understand wrestling at these forums. I got spanked, I got punched — I HAD to learn. Now I stand here while the Kane Knight’s, Rob’s, road doggy dogg’s, Skippord’s, Tovo’s, CSL’s and Xero Limit’s don’t. I thought I wanted to take them all down on a loopydate, but now I realize that what I wanted to cut down to make myself is what I want back. Gone are the days of logical wrestling discussion. Gone are the days of people who half-way knew what they were looking at. Gone is the guilt and gone is the innocence. All that is left is cosmic justice, and the gavel comes down on modern professional wrestling and the people who profess it is good. Enjoy what you enjoy, but do not push poison to me and tell me it’s chocolate. |

Every time real world shit happens, AEW ratings drop, NXT ratings remain roughly the same because their base doesn't seem as interested in the real world.

Cody a huge draw

Cody + Snoop on AEW = 644,000 Rating Go Big Show = 1,000,000 Rating, which AEW doesn't get with Cody + Snoop Therefore, the only logical and rational conclusion is... Rosario Dawson and Jennifer Nettles are the huge draws. AEW Loses AGAIN! |
Damn nice @go big show
I have no interest in that show, but clearly lots of people do. Good for them. |

Oh wow, 3 and a half times more than AEW.
That's what happens when you put on a great product: people will watch over the news if it's good. |

Nope? Okay. Move along, bitch. SmackDown being the best wrestling show on television, both in terms of commercial success and creative, is an indictment on modern wrestling. |

It's a genius level of clapback, because you get 2 or 3 other people to do it with you, then you are UNSTOPPABLE!!!!! Seriously though, how come Smackdown triples AEW in ratings? That's not very Elite  |

Why is Smackdown rated higher than AEW? Because it's on Fox which is a network meaning available via antenna so people who don't pay for cable can watch the channel for free. USA and TNT are cable channels meaning you have to pay a cable company to watch the channel. That's also why Smackdown is rated higher than Raw. Raw is the flagship show in all of pro wrestling to the majority of fans in my expert opinion. It has been on cable for nearly 30 years. WWE has been the top wrestling promotion in the US and the World for nearly 40 years. The brand recognition is obvious. The majority of fans on this forum and online have been begging for a new company to take 2nd place to WWE. Nobody in their right mind could ever expect within a couple of years for WWE to be losing ratings to a new company. But in many ways AEW has superceded all expectation of a new company. They have a years long tv rights deal that has them financially set to the point they can operate without fans and still pay top tier talent. They have more PPV buyers than any wrestling company in the world. And every Wednesday night for the past year with the exception of two or three they have soundly defeated WWE programing. Whatever your disdain for flip flop and fly or a different style of booking... Whatever your issue is you really don't make any productive points on it. It would be make the board much more interesting if you could actually take the time to put out well thought out critique or talking points. |

100% real question is why is it alright to brag about AEW getting 700,000 viewers, but Smackdown triples that and it is diminished and excused, as you just did? I don't care one bit about ratings, but if 700,000 is cause for celebration and bragging, then 2.1 million cannot be glossed over just because it's not AEW. Also, they do not have more pay per view buys. WWE Network has what, 1.5 million paid subscribers? That's another case where you are framing success based on a tiny piece of data that does not represent the full story. 100,000 people bought and watched All Out. 1.5 million people are purchasing and watching WWE Network each month, which includes their PPVs. Just because WWE isn't selling PPVs through cable companies doesn't mean AEW has a bigger fanbase. Just like a show being on Fox vs TNT doesn't mean AEW is doing better with less viewers. It is such a skewed way to interpret it. |
