Rewatched the entirety of “The Smoking Room” and it’s still mint. Only downside is the obese thing in it. I’d have bet any money she’d be dead by now.

Started a re-watch of House MD. Love this show

Shoresy season 3 release announced :D
May 24 here in Canada (Crave) June 21 in the US (Hulu) |
Tb1 is having his gf and I watch Fallout. The female lead, of course, is who has The Fraze's attention.
|
She's like a newer version of Winnie from The Wonder Years.
|
The kid from The Wonder Years was one of a few that people said The Fraze looked like at that age. Also, the girl from Fallout is beautiful. Caught my eye when Tb1 had us watch Yellowjackets as well.
|
I've finished Farscape. The two-episode mini series that concluded the show, 'The Peacekeeper Wars,' felt very 'Americanized;' a lot of the show's quirks had been sanitised for North American audiences. However, it was a decent send-off, even if there was a couple of cheap deaths ('You tell'em who their daddy is!').
I'm on to Shogun now. I've only watched one episode so far, but I'm all in. The actor who plays the Englishman reminds me a lot of Tom Hardy, which helps sell it to me. |
Shogun is amazing but you'll grow to hate it. Too woke for your critical drinker-simping ass.

Feudal Japan famous for it’s wokeness

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the actual show yet, though. |
Me either, might give it a bash tonight.
|
Episode 6 of Fallout had a lot of closeups on Ella Purnell's face and The Fraze was pleased.

I've got two episodes left. I've loved this series. Hiroyuki Sanada has been an absolute boss; a fantastic foundation that the show has been built upon. It is only a limited series, but I hope they will come back to this world and tell other stories. |
Shogun is finished. Fantastic show; perhaps an early contender for show of the year. The ending threw me off, but I appreciate what they did.
I'm halfway through Shardlake at the moment. It is fine, even if the world building is a bit incongruent. Plenty of bigotry towards the physically deformed, but no racial discrimination in Tudor England. See the above show for how world building should be done. |
Do they call midgets “shorty” and all of that great stuff?
|
Crookback, and plenty of people crossing themselves.
|
Finished Fallout with Tb1 and his gf, it was "fine." Ella Purnell's face was The Fraze's main interest for the entirety of the season.
|
How "into it" were you? Enough to theorize about shit? I GOT QUESTIONS MAN!
|
I still haven't watched the second half of Shardlake; I'll get to it soon. Most of my viewing has been watching the Giro d'Italia, which will keep me occupied for the 2.5 weeks.
I have, however, been re-watching a 4-part series that I haven't seen since it was broadcast back in 2008: The Devil's Whore. It stars Andrea Riseborough, Dominic West, Michael Fassbender and John Simm. It is set during the English Civil War. If you like historical drama with a slight weird bent, check it out. I also watched a few episodes of Spin City the other day. It still needs to get going, but Michael J. Fox is holding things together. Parkinson's is a bastard. |
El Vaquero watches the shows that your parents might watch so that you don’t have to
|
How often do you actually watch Countryfile
|
I never watch Countryfile, you bastard!
I'm not sure if The Devil's Whore is for the Countryfile set. |
Watching Baby Reindeer. Only 1 ep in but seems solid

I've finished Shardlake. It was ultimately something and nothing, and the story didn't need 4 episodes; it could have been resolved in a two-hour episode.
I'm going to finish The Devil's Whore tomorrow, and then I need to decide what to watch next. |
Finished up the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Wasn't a great season but the finale was pretty good.
SPOILER: show Will miss the show. |
I’ll have to binge that ASAP
|
Would like to hear Destor and Seanny's thoughts on Baby Reindeer. Thought that was pretty riveting stuff.
|
Doesn’t seem like my sort of thing. I’ll ask my elderly mother if she enjoyed it.
|
Riveting is the right word and i thought the finale was deftly handled
SPOILER: show All that said every episode was very punchy and i always was left wanting to see what happens next. The acting was great and i think both leads should at least be nominated for emmys. Its a story so outrageous its hard to believe and then also it sounds about right. Really skirts that line. Extremely unique show in a ton of ways that will make it very memorable long term. |
Tires was an easy watch.
|
I've finished watching the late 1990s/early 2000s satirical show, Brass Eye. It is absolutely ruthless. You couldn't make this show today; it's too close to the bone.
I'm currently watching the first season of The Good Wife. I like it, though I don't know if it is because of the show, itself, or because Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi are absolute foxes. |
Just binged through that Shane Gillis show on Netflix, Tires. Fell a bit flat for me (ha ha, tire pun). Through the six episodes there were probably about 3-4 jokes that gave me a pretty good laugh, but overall felt a bit disjointed. First season stuff. I'll probably check out season 2 whenever it comes out

MILF Manor

Watched first episode of S3 of Shoresy last night. Amazing. The walking competition the b'ys did was peak.
|
I've started the final season of Star Trek: Discovery. The Michael Burnham character remains one of the most irritating, sanctimonious individuals that ST have ever created. I thought Janeway was a pain, but Burnham takes the cake. The identity politics ideological lecturing also persists, but at this point, I've learned to just roll my eyes when they indulge in it. I'm just going to get through it, and then never watch the series ever again.
I'm also coming to the end of season 1 of The Good Wife. I like it enough to continue on to the next season. |
I hear so many polarizing/negative things about Discovery. Fiancee loves everything Trek so I've watched a few episodes with her. There was an early episode where they were like "Do you want to be remembered as other visionaries such as the Wright Brothers or Elon Musk?" and it felt really hamfisted and stupid lol
|
I watched the first few episodes of it when it first started. I'm a Star Trek fan (not a fanatic, but love TNG, DS9). A lot of it definitely felt forced and they weren't shy about it. Made it rather cringy and moved on immediately.
